Biggest mistake I made in my 75 years on this planet was to buy a Mitsubishi split system from Air Conditioning Expert. He had 3 attempts at fixing leaking pipework over a period of about a fortnight. After his initial installation he refused to acknowledge that it was his lack of brazing experience that was the root-cause of the loss of refrigerant, so he lodged a warranty call with Mitsubishi. When Mitsubishi troubleshooters came out to investigate, the only problem they found was a leak in the brazing joint made by Simon. So, after his third attempt to provide a leakproof also failed, I told him I'll get Mitsubishi to send out someone that was able to provide a leakproof connection, Upshot was that it cost me an additional $222.75, because the warranty callout was clearly NOT a warranty issue. Normally the person lodging a warranty callout would be liable for the cost, but he flatly refused pay. And then I had to pay another Installation fee of $726.00 to finally get everything hooked up and working.
So, if you are in the market for a new air con, think twice before buying from him.

Oh – I forgot to mention the damage that he did, with his ladder on the wall next to the front and the numerous holes he burned into out vinyl flooring in his attempts to braze some copper pipe.

Approximate cost: $2800

Very professional, Simon was well organised and got the job done properly. The end result was very neat and tidy. Friendly Our AC is now up and running and everything looks great. I truly highly recommended!

Professional tradesman in and out before lunch. One Panasonic Split installed and couldn't be happier. Thanks guys.

Our unit needed an air con and I phoned everybody I am sure of it. ACExpert were the best price by far. I was kinda worried that they might cut some corners, but the install in my place looks like the best one of the whole unit complex. Other tenants are asking us who did ours.. Can't find anything wrong with these guys. Thanks.

Really decent guys. All I can say. Everything was explained, cleaned and installed exactly as per the company website. Rare these days to find everything exactly as it seems with no catch or trick. They did the whole install, presented the bill and never asked for a cent until it was all done and finished. The tradesman explained when I asked. - Many companies ask for deposit so worst case they haven't lost any money. Where this crew supply the unit do the whole job and bet that you'll be happy at the end and pay for it. If they do that day in day out it shows how confident they are in their work. Outstanding.

By far the most professional tradesman we had here during our reno. He didn't even come quote the job, and at the end, his invoice matched exactly what was said on the phone. We had tilers and painters not show up for quotes, not even call. The one we gave the job to quoted, did the work then invoiced more than the quote. Where as Simon didn't come to even quote, said 'that's the price.' We were a bit skeptical, but rushed. We accepted. At the end his invoice was one of the few that was exactly what he had quoted. He only lost a point on service because he's a bit rushed and doesn't even want to see the job, but can't fault him on his work or price. Thanks Simon. AC Expert

I have to say after I saw this review that I do not agree with Mr Chang at all. We had three installed by ACExpert over summer and all were done professionally. Simon was fine to deal with. One must only wonder at the length of his post what were his real motivations leaving the review like this online? We had a pleasant experience dealing with everyone, our install was fine. What else could one ask for?

I actually want to give 2.5/5 stars. Very Average experience.

They booked me in today at 7:30am for an installation of 7.1 KW Mitsubishi aircon unit for my investment property. Because I live far away from the property, I had to leave the house at 06:30am go through the traffic to make it on time. Up on arrival, nobody showed up! I called him and he told me he cannot come! I do not mind change of time but he did not call or email me the day before and his attitude is rude. He simply tell me he had 12 jobs today and he was very busy, then he asked if I want it done at 12pm or not with a impolite voice.

1. YOU told me to meet up at 7:30am, I respect your time and I turned up. If you did not turn up it is your fault! Not the customer! Because you are the one set the time.
2. If you unable to do 12 jobs a day, you should NOT tell people you can make it! Because their life is affected by you as well!

He then offer me an discount as compensation, at the end he did NOT honored his words.

In conclusion, he did come around 1pm and finished the job. The finishing job looks pretty good and clean. The price is fair. So he deserves an average review.

Buyer aware, if you want deal with a polite person, he is not the guy. If people turn up on time for the job is important to you, be careful ~ depends on your luck.
If your time is flexible then it's ok to use him. I will advice give him a text or call before the day of installation and make sure they will turn up.

Just looking at this reply everyone can tell that you have no understanding of customer service and hence do not understand why people are giving you such a low rating. A 2.5 start is very generous - as your installers did a great job, but your communication and attitude is horrible. A phone call to say you can't make it to the appointment time is basic customer service. I'd also like to applause you on the abusive msg and threats you have been sending me as they give excellent evidence of your poor service and for the police for investigation of threats. I can link our conversation to your business on google and let people see what kind of rude person they will be dealing with.

So let's just concentrate on the important parts. Vincent had an air con installed by us. We were late. We had a guy off sick, and it was at least 35 degrees. We still got the other crew there in the afternoon to get Vincent's one done, which he has no complaint about, agrees that it was installed professionally and the crew were nice, yet he still goes on every outlet available to him and tries to smear the business because he didn't get his phone call. As it was we spoke to him early morning, apologised for being late, got the job done anyway, despite him lying about the install conditions. He was not given his $50 off because the job usually carries an extra charge, which he wasn't charged for. And WOMO publish these sorts of attention seeking individuals tantrums, affecting people's livelihoods. Readers should know that WOMO is just a rehash of the online extortion racket TRUE LOCAL and has been investigated numerous times for allowing obviously false or misleading negative and positive reviews. One wonders what Mr Chang does in his parents basement all day. Wouldn't be online activist would it Mr Chang?

Lol feel like to explain to my son who is 6 years old why he did not receive a gold star.
Ok, FACT:
1. You did Not turn up at 7:30am, but you did not call or email that you can not make it.
2. You apologized briefly for 2 seconds, then attitude quickly change to "hey I got 12 jobs to do! I got rochedale, ....(12 areas) etc. what you want me to do? Do you want me to come today or not!? Huh? " all those with extremely rude tone and voice. Wow if that is how you apologized to people. If I say I am sorry then slap your face, did I really apologizing? You basically telling costumer your time is more important than theirs.
3. Then you mentioned you will give me discount to make up my time. The truth is I don't care about those discounts as 50$ will make a huge difference on the 2350$ job? Lol . If I am doing 500+ jobs I would care less of those 50$ as long as I can keep the customer happy. As I said I am pretty happy to in full~ and I did on the same day!
4. I am not an air conditioning expert. You are ~ I have no idea which wall is expensive or what ever the reverse method is. To me it's all "wall"~ if you think you undercharged, you can contact me "politely" at the time and explain to your customer. But you didn't! you send insults messages. This reflect on your communication problem.
5. Glenn did a good work and send me a photo of complete work. Looks good and clean. Therefore, I give you 2.5 star base on your work. Thanks Glenn.
6. Once the payment madewhen I asked for receipt and warranty. Because I did not give you a full star good review. You send threats, abusive, rude msg. Those rude msg should not be send to anyone, especially to your customer.

There are lots of 1 star review for your business all point to your business and everyone is complain about the SAME thing ! Your extremely rude attitude and no after sale service! Usually business see review as criticism to improve their service. But obviously you don't understand after sale nor customer service. You send rude msg and abusive word like teenage boys, which is quite amusing. Your employees give full mark on their work. But you got 0 on your customer service ! And that is why you did not get your gold star~

Ps. ACCC law indicated smerff Electrical is only responsible for installation. BUT air conditioning expert have responsible for the unit as you are the retailer. If the unit is faulty, I can ask the retailer to replace it as I purchased from Harvey Norman. I know you guys not responsible to Mitsubishi manufacturers. But you have the responsibility send it to them for replacement.

Anyway, I am not going to argue with you on this platform. My time is too valueable. You are just a bully. I already block your number as police suggested, just in case you wonder why you unable to send more rude abusive msg. This is the last contact you will hear from me. How you do business is your business ~ Have a nice life. I am having a great time in my huge basement. Lol

Everyone writes such fantastic reports on these guys, yet they have been a total disaster for us. They installed a brand new unit which we bought elsewhere. It hasn't worked since day one, won't cool or heat and rattles like crazy. Now I will be the first to say it could be the unit and accept this. But what I can’t accept is the refusal to come and inspect the install and review it. To check the gas pressure to see if has leaked and find where it has leaked from - the unit or their pipe work install. The abuse and aggressive behavior by [Redacted identifying comment]. To be told to [Redacted offensive word] and to receive txt messages “you bought a [Redacted offensive word] unit and that’s what happens” and “supply rubbish air cons then wonder why it rattles you loser” is totally unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour in my opinion. As a business owner you would expect the first point of call to be "is there a problem and how can we help". To be told by the installer they will come back then weeks later told no its a waste of their time. Would I use them again no way. Do they live up to the advertised statements on their website not at all. Have I paid them for their work- no not to date. What have they done to try and resolve the issue - first point of call was - they have they threatened to come and enter my property and take the bracket and pipes off the wall. One very dissatisfied customer.

Firstly the unit was not bought from Aldi, not sure how they would feel you bringing their reputation into this.
Secondly I am not and have not ever stated that your workmanship was in question.
My issues are your lack of conflict resolution, your total lack professionalism, no after sales care as stated on your website.
I agree completely that you warned it may not work, and I was happy to accept this and still do. I also agreed to buy one of your units off you if it did not work. I should also point out that on the day it as to be installed I asked your installer what he thought of it - his comment was "should work, no problem", which is why we went ahead with it - and didn't use the one he had in the truck. But once it was a problem before even offering to come have a look at it yourself or discussing any options with me you resorted to insults and abuse - as in your reply above.
What I dont accept is that your installer stated he would return and check to see if there was a gas leak and if so identify where from. He has not returned and wont. I dont not accept your need to be abusive and aggressive or your need to resort to name calling and insults. All I can say is buyer be ware of the type of person you are dealing with in the event you have an issue. I may have lost $450 on an install and have a machine that doesnt work. But I wonder how many people will go elsewhere after reading your post and these of mine. Clearly you have no idea of conflict resolution.

Why is womo allowing such ridiculously long public stouches anyway. This person talks of conflict resolution. We did the job, left the invoice. This person agrees that we warned him it wouldn't work, he agrees it didn't work. What he is not telling you is he was left with the bill, which he didn't pay. It was November which drifted to December which drifted to Christmas, and as such we don't hassle people for money over Christmas. After this holiday he was texted, which he ignored, called and called and eventually from another number to catch him, which he then magically answered, and only then decided he wasn't happy he didn't want to pay the bill... He had agreed on the day before we started that there was a risk installing this unit - which had also sat idle for a year prior to installation. SO he thinks that we should - drive out to his home - install a unit which we knew was dodgy - which we warned him about - then when the unit proves us right - he shouldn't have to pay because our 'conflict resolution' wasn't up to scratch. If it wasn't for idiots like this there would be no conflict. Perhaps ask one of the hundreds on customers who've had our units installed rather than sooky mikee

Facts -
Booked in November for installation on the 20th December,
Installed on the 20th December,
Phoned to advise not working and rattling on the 22nd December,
Told Installer would come and have a look on the 27th December (day after boxing day) - No Show
They texted me on 5th January demanding payment
Phoned same day to explain why payment not made (as awaiting installers assessment)
Received multiple rude, aggressive and threatening, abusive messages and phones calls same day
Payment made on 6th January via internet transfer - to avoid further bullying

My wife and I recently had two Mitsubishi Heavy Industry air conditioners installed by Simon's crew and they have done a fantastic job. The communication from Simon was prompt and very informative (there's also plenty of excellent information on his website), and they turned up on time and smashed it out in the anticipated time-frame. It was very impressive watching them work. The price was fantastic too, so it was a no-brainer. Thanks very much for a job well done - we're both very happy and would not hesitate to recommend. Have a great summer!
