Great place for a coffee if you can find a park. As many are aware Anderson st is narrow, can sometimes be tricky to navigate, but many gems in the area, this one included. Food is priced well, nothing fancy but it hits the spot

Alfa Bakehouse is a very kick back place with no decor but the vibe is very friendly. the portions could be bigger and its a tiny bit pricey but i think its worth it. There pasty's are very fresh and fluffy and there is a huge selection of cakes. There is a eat in out dine out option. There coffee is always smooth and creamy. There bacon's and eggs which i always order with some wholemeal toast taste amazing there's always heaps of bacon and eggs and the toast comes buttered and i like to ask for a side of fried tomato which always come nice and crisp. i cant wait to go back

Came here upon recommendation from a friend. I found it okay, but not the greatest.

The food certainly looked quite nice, but I found Alfa a little pricey, for example, their menu listed pancakes as $12.50 and basket of chips were $6.50 etc. My friend went for a coffee for $5 something and my small hot chocolate was $4. I thought my small was smaller than it should have been, but it was very nice. There wasn't a big board of prices as far as I could see, only a limited orange menu at the counter.

A definite pro for this place is it's outside seating - very nice! A few tables and chairs under trees. Plenty of room for parents with children to sit or dogs to be too, without feeling crowded. There seemed to be not enough seating when lunch rolled around and inside seemed a bit crowded.

Other features appreciated was access to free cold water, either glasses or bottles. I didn't have much contact with staff, but there were a few tables with plates/unfinished food/cigarette packets left on the tables. We returned our dishes to a trolley inside and were greeted with an honest 'thanks'.

So it was certainly okay, but maybe not the greatest I had ever been to.

Its fairly touch and go these days with bake houses. Hard to get it right, but their food and bread is fresh which is also a bonus seeing it is their specialty. Tasty and a variety to choose makes this one a goer

Located centrally on the main shopping drag in Yarraville this bakehouse/cafe offers a range of pre-made wraps and rolls/sandwiches, as well as offering the ability to make your own with a great range of fresh ingredients. They've also got pies and cakes on offer, all of which taste great (try the profiteroles, but only if you don't mind your arteries hardening just by looking at them. They are wickedly awesome). Service is pretty good - they were busy when we went in today but they got to us quickly enough and were friendly despite being rushed. I thought it was a bit pricey, but overall was happy with the food, service, and experience.
