Good day all.

I purchased 2 gel batteries 100AH over the phone, providing Credit Card details, on 29/08/2017. All Purpose Batteries withdrawn $770 out of my account (transaction visible in the bank account), but they have not sent the products until today.

I tried contacting them repeatedly and no one would answer the phones as they are disconnected.

I have called several organizations and finally ASIC advised that All Purpose Batteries are scheduled for liquidation and they have directed me to talk to the liquidators. I am currently waiting on advice from the liquidators.

Approximate cost: $770

APB is in liquidation. Go to insolvencynotices.asic.gov.au , Browse/Search Notices tab , ACN is 117 323 001 , VIEW notice for liquidator details ph or email them for form to be added to list of creditors.

UPDATE ALL PURPOSE BATTERIES ARE NO LONGER TRADING BUT STILL TAKING MONEY FROM PEOPLE AS WEBSITE IS STILL OPERATING.
We went down to say hello only to find he is no longer trading from that address his numbers have blocked our calls.
The new people in the factory have said they have had 15 to 20 people come looking for him. Fair trading has contacted him and he is not returning there correspondence....
ORIGINAL POST i rang up and ordered a battery over the phone on the Thursday morning and specifically asked if the battery would be delivered by the weekend to which he replied it sure would be, i explained i needed it to race on Saturday and he said they send by same day courier. i chose this place as it was local and not too far away and thought they would do the right thing.i paid more for the battery than what i could of got it online for as i was paying to have it delivered faster. Friday afternoon i still had not received the battery and only then i got notification from the courier that it had been picked up for delivery i waited till 9pm Friday night then sent an email saying i would not be accepting the battery as it has not been sent in the time frame i needed it. i had no reply from him i called several times through the week and still no reply i sent another email asking where my refund is, this time i got a phone call back saying he has to wait for the battery to be delivered. i have waited two weeks now, he will not return my phone calls as he has now blocked my number as it goes straight to message bank when i call from my phone, if i call from another phone the phone rings. [redacted comment] i have no battery as the courier never delivered it to me and all i want is my money back THIS MAN IS A THIEF STAY AWAY FROM THEM
SSB batteries at Lansvale head office have been contacted and notified several times yet they still have him on their top wholesalers list and have refused to take his number off there page so they are just as bad as they are condoning the way he runs his business

Approximate cost: $525

Too late I purchased a battery with the same result. I lodged for a refund with Pay pal if it doesn't come through I'll be going down there to say hi

That's unfortunate mate, open a case with fair trading, its pretty easy to do online, and yes I'm trying to go through the correct avenues cause my friends don't just say" Hi "...he obviously is pretty stupid cause if it were me i wouldn't be ripping off people that are buying Harley batteries as apparently those people are not nice people as I've seen on TV.

I bought two batteries over the phone and got nothing! No receipt, no delivery information and no batteries. They would not answer phone calls or emails and I now have a case open with Department of Fair Trading. Stay away and do not touch them....

I purchased a motorbike battery from an online store selling All Purpose Batteries products in May of 2014. The battery supposedly had a 30 month warranty, so when it failed after 16 months, I was in touch with them. They told me to return the faulty battery so that they could test and replace it. The battery was delivered to them via courier and one of their staff had signed for it when it was received. After many emails via the online store, I have only been given excuses and a total runaround by the business. Excuses have varied from "we have not received your battery" or "what address did you send it to", etc. After I involved Fair Trading they managed to locate the battery and 2 weeks ago I was promised a new battery. This has never arrived and when I requested the details of which courier company was used, I was told it was on it's way. This company do not honour their warranty, beware!

Approximate cost: $185

Spent just over $600 in total. The $300 deep cycle battery was faulty and this is when the fun started. Eventually got it replaced by the owner who sold it to me in the first place. In my opinion he had a terrible attitude. Will not go back for future business. Stick to Kmart, etc.

Approximate cost: $600.00
