Loved this place, quite small to look at but the accommodation was big. The breakfast that we had down stairs was really hardy and well worth the money and experience.
Was pleasantly surprised by this olden establishment. We had breakfast here one morning. The lady who was serving us was just lovely.
The breakfast was beautiful. I do recommend this to anyone who is after a hearty breakfast in town in a quiet atmosphere.

What can I say about the staff and the place, I flew down to Adelaide for the birth of my grenddaughter and as it goes she did not arrive that night. So at some rude hour of the morning I called them on the chance that someone would be there.
To cut a long story short, bubs was born the next night but I was able to get a room for 2 nights with breakfast (which might I add was heaven.) The room was a good size with wardrobe and huge bath room with bath and shower.
Nothing seemed a problem with the staff both boys were amazing couldn't do enough for me. Love the bar its quiet, and the location was just amazing in the heart of Adelaide, tram stop just out the front, Taxi rank around the corner (not that I had to go there the boys were happy to call one for me.)
When I have some more time to spend I will most certainly be returning to here.

Booked in for one night in one of the budget upstairs rooms. I was looking forward to using the advertised free wireless, however could not get a signal in my room. I went downstairs to reception and they apologised, and upgraded me to one of the more expensive Heritage rooms free of charge.
The Heritage room is WAY nicer than upstairs room, with a flat screen tv, and much nicer furnishings. I had dinner in the Marble Bar, and it was very nice and fantastic value.
I found the staff to be very friendly and pleasant, with nothing too much trouble for them.
The location is AMAZING! Right in the heart of the city, with the tram stop right out front, and Rundle Mall only a short walk.
Next time I'm in Adelaide I will most definitely stay here.

food is good and value for money the front bar is old and quaint and the staff friendly and welcoming rooms could do with a bit of modernisation but still reflects the cost which is good with a breakfast thrown in
