Excellent quality! Will never buy meat anywhere else. Shop is small, but you get used to it.

I trust my nose, if a butcher smells anything other than fresh meat or smoke - I'm gone.

You have to go to Ashcroft's! The shop is tiny, but the place smells divine and the guys there are great.

I have been shopping at Ashcroft Meats for the last few years and never received a less than delicious product or anything other than top notch service. The meat is amazing, fresh and very yummy and all the team are always friendly and helpful when you ask for cooking suggestions. Prices are also very competitive. I highly recommend you give Ashcroft Meats ago, you'll definitely be back

Just bought 350g of sliced ham and paid $7,90. To get a ham I made effort to get there and didn't want come with nothing.
When the price was $9,50 per kg they indicate the price outside board but not today 10:20am. Wish they indicate the price all the time on the board out side.

$9.50 is the bone in half and whole hams, not the boneless sliced that is $22.50

This is the hidden gem of butcher shops in Brisbane. Its been on Sandgate Road for as long as I can remember and I have never had a bad experience or bad quality meat from them. At Christmas, I wanted a 1/2 leg ham with bone in but our fridge space on holidays meant that a ham was going to be a nighmare! The guys said no problems, quartered the half ham leaving the bone in to keep it moist and then cryvacced it for me. Amazing tasting ham that kept fresh and moist the whole trip. These guys are the best.
My dad is a bacon connoisseur and has tried every butcher on the Northside of Brisbane. He now drives to Ashcrofts for his bacon. It is a perfect cut - not too thick and not too thin so it goes beautifully crispy without drying out. The smokey flavour is wonderful.

Approximate cost: $6.99-7.99 per kg

I have been referred to this butcher by a good friend who buys their Xmas hams every year. They have the best Hams I have ever tasted. Their ham is traditionally wood smoked, and at the moment only $8.50kg - what a great price!!!! I look forward to doing more business with these guys.
