Can't go wrong with the pan fried pork dumplings and Dan Dan noodles, and the price is exceptional for the quantity. Whilst dine in service can be hit and miss, takeaways have always worked best for me

Really cheap, good food. You can get a big meal here under $10 and it’s always been tasty and satisfying. The dumplings are excellent.

Traditional Chinese restaurant with really affordable dishes. Most dishes are under $10, which I had the special fried rice with prawn and loved it. Will be back

PLEASE! Beware of the Owner Lady who always charges more than the correct price. She alway charges me more than the correct price listed on the menus, so I adivice you to always add up the price of your meal before ordering. Please BEWARE!

This is one of my favourite dumpling places in Melbourne. Huge servings, very cheap and some good flavours. They even let you take the leftovers in a takeaway box (costs $1). it's ALWAYS busy though, so be prepared to line up for 10-20 mins.

These guys do great dumplings. Cheap eats and poor service to be expected but for the price it's kind of what you expect anyway. Great for coming out with a group friends rather as this place is fairly noisy and not so great for something cozy and intimate. My favorites here are the pork and veggie dumplings. Always spot on!

ive also been to aunties dumplings, i agree with the service, but the food is cheap. there was no display on the menu for the food. ordered something that didn't turn out as i expected it to look like.

Great dumplings & noodle soups - perfect hot and filling food during cold Melbourne winter nights. Lucky the food is so tasty and cheap and whilst the service is quick would it really hurt the waitresses to even be a little bit welcoming!

Been to so many dumpling houses, still come back to Aunties. Expect to queue and wait. But when we get a seat, we go for all varieties of fried dumplings. From chicken & prawn, pork to vegetable. If u haven't tried their fried garlic pork ribs, u have to. Because u will not regret it. We have moved to Seaford and we still come back to Carnegie for our dumplings.

Definitely a restaurant at the top of my mind for lazy lunches. Have tried a many items on the menu, but find myself back to the basics. Can't go wrong with boiled peking pork dumplings and Shanghai fried noodles. Food is fast and tasty. Service is something that needs to worked on though.

Beware, if you eat here you may become addicted to dumplings :-) My work mates and I swear by this place and organise dumpling nights at least every fortnight. Best dumplings outside Chinatown. Also, the Chinese broccoli and oyster sauce is the best!

My brother dragged me out to Aunties one night, he and his friends go there weekly, they swear by it. Hands down the best dumplings in the area, cheap, quick and easy the service leaves something to be desired and you may have to line up on busy nights but is well worth the wait.

Aunties dumplings has become a local favourite on my side of town. I heard about it from some friends, and just had to try it. Walking in, you wonder what you're doing in a place like this, but once you look around the room and see all the people digging into their food, you have hope again.
You are served water in plastic cups and the staff do not really understand english so you find it easier to order by number. The pan friend pork dumpling is nothing less than beautiful. There are a dozen varieties of dumplings to choose from and then some mains such as noodles, soups and rice dishes. We always get the pan friend pork and mix itup with another variety and just share. The chicken and prawn is also yum! I have been many times and taken friends and family there for an extremely CHEAP eat.

The place is always packed out. Queues are incredible, but it is worth it. The line moves fairly quickly. The dumplings are sensational and cheap. This is fast becoming as popular and iconic as the 'South Melbourne dim sims'. Definitely worth a try you won't be disappointed.

Seriously an understated Chinese multi cuisine style restaurant specialising in home made dumplings. The dumpling pastry is always uniform and thinner and more crisp than most other dumpling houses I have frequented. (depending on whether you are having steamed or fried). Service is very Chinese, But for a no holes barred Communist meal, I dont travel any further than just down the road and I can still access facebook from the restaurant! lol

Delicious, cheap fresh dumplings! Service is super fast, as long as you don't mind being sat at a table with random strangers during busy times. Staff do not engage in small talk, you point at what you want and within 10 minutes its in front of you!

Cheap, decent shanghainese dumplings. Dan dan noodle is nice and spicy. The dumplings are cheap and yummy too.The Shao long bao is a bit of hit and miss, sometimes they are nice and juicy but other days could be dry and bland. But overall quite happy with the foods. My only complaint would be the auntie who I assume is the owner always look grumpy and never smiles.

Great tasting dumplings and a very good price! The wait for your dish is pretty short and they do take away so you can order earlier and go and pick it up.
Its a small place and a bit dirty but the food is definitely worth it.

I was in Essendon and actually went home to Richmond by way of Carnegie just for Auntie's dumplings. I didn't have to wait very long for my take away order which beats waiting in line for a table. Dumplings have a great taste, perfect texture and come in substantial serves for the price.

I have been trying some of their other dishes as well. The Special Fried Rice is satisfactory as are the lotus leaves stuffed with sticky rice and meat.

I will go back again and again.

nb. Cash Only.

Auntie's dumplings have not only delicious, juicy dumplings, you can't beat the price! I love the fried dumplings. You can buy heaps of dishes here, not just dumplings, there's also noodles and rice. The service is average. Everything is so affordable, the value is amazing!
