right close to McDonalds, needs a makeover to let people realize the potential here and give it a chance, the decor lets it down as well as the plastic plates. The food is quite good though.

Ayam Goreng 99 is my "go to" place in Kingsford, Sydney - delicious & cheap. I recommend Paha Bakar (Grilled Chicken Thigh) + Nasi Putih (Boiled Rice) & Jus Alpukat (Avocado Juice). Help yourself to complimentary cold water or hot tea. Make sure you register for the queue by writing down your name. To accommodate the never ending crowd, staff will squeeze 3 customers to 1 square table. Be HAPPY that you are eating.

Approximate cost: $13.5

Ayam Goreng 99 isn't the most prettiest of restaurants, the restaurant is quite bland in appearance and you would never think it would make good food. I found that despite appearances, they make good food at a decent price. The fried chicken is great and is so cheap.

If you don't care about decor and plastic plates, this is the place to go for cheap but great Indonesian food. Can't go past the grilled chicken and the sambal chilli, so hot but addictive.

Approximate cost: $12

Love their ayam bakar (grilled Chicken) and sayur asam (sour soup). but the service is quite poor. the chilli that on the table are just amazing.
Probably best value and meal for Indonesian food in Sydney. Always crowded but worth the long queue. Just the way Indonesian eats chicken! authentic!
one of the must try restaurant.

The Ayam bakar (Roast Chicken) at this restaurant is amazing. Perfectly cooked, seasoned, tasty and it is just melted in your mouth. I haven't tried other meals here but I am sure it will be nice as well

never thought that I could finish 3 plates of rice when I ordered the ayam bakar (grilled chicken) and some other dishes.
There's always a queue at lunch time and dinner time. Value is reasonable but portions are small. Can get very noisy especially when you get seated with or near students from the nearby uni.
I love the chilly on the table but for those who can't handle hot, do not touch it! coz it's freaking burn your tongue.

Approximate cost: $9

This place got me addicted to ayam bakar with that sweet soy sauce. It is so good and seriously good value here. It is always packed with uni students though so getting takeaway is a good option.
