Went online to check their range and thought they had the newest Safe n sound maxi rider AHR easy adjust in stock in October as the site allows you to add the item to cart.

Even though it seemed like they had the item in stock on the website, I decided to pay them a visit so I can see the item in real life. Went to store and was told it hasn't been released in Australia yet and they are expecting the stock to be in around late Nov. So they were selling thing they didn't even have!

Ok, no worries, I'll leave my number and get them to call me when the stock comes in.

No one ever called. I called them in mid Dec 6 wks later and I was told they have them on the floor. Thanks for letting me know!

They are friendly on the phone, but no such much in store. I have been to the Fyshwick store a few times. No one bothered to acknowledge me.

Yes, they maybe a little cheaper than other places. But if you are after service, I'll go elsewhere

I think it was always going to be tricky for a smaller baby shop to compete with baby bunting and babies r us. The staff at babies direct were really friendly and helpful, however it took far too long for goods we ordered to be delivered (nearly 4 weeks). So if they don't have it in stock- try somewhere else unless you are more patient than me...

Relatively positive experiences with baby direct, have not found them the most prompt at replying, nor did I find them overly prompt at getting my items to me but I can't really fault them other than that. Wide range of items available online and they have 2 physical stores as well (none in melbourne) and also have reasonable postage costs australia wide which is good!
