The food here does not disappoint. It is the service that does... They have an expansive menu and the choices are ambundant but yet they cant keep up with the ammount of patrons so the service lacks. My advice, get in early.

Went for the 3 course meal which is about $65 and have also sampled individual items too. I like this place. Friendly staff, good environment, tasty food. My favs is the cheese & cured meat board, with a glass of wine - great lunch meal.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I love the value of the various lunch/dinner/happy hour specials they put on and so far, after three visits, I've found the food has been between nice and very good.

The place is certainly popular at peak times and this is where we have run into problems. I'm not sure if it was a staffing issue or an overworked kitchen that can't feed as many patrons as they can seat but we had one exceptionally long wait here when we last visited for an early Thursday night dinner special. We were among the earlier people to be seated and unlike most diners, we had two preschool aged children with us. You can imagine how we felt as we watched table after table of diners who were seated after us have their food served while we waited and waited for (of all things!) our entree of chilled soup! The mains took even longer to appear... there was much discussion about whether we should just walk out as bedtime and been and gone and we still had two more courses coming. We were seated within two feet of a constantly-manned waitstaff computer station and I made sure this discussion was audible to the staff members who often stood there chatting however nothing came of this. Eventually, I had to ask if there was some problem with our food as we had been waiting for such an unacceptable amount of time. Soon after this, the food did follow.

I remember what we ate but I really cannot remember if it was any good. I know I did not enjoy myself for that two-or-more hours of trying to entertain the kids at Baia after a very long day of city sightseeing.

In summation, I'd say service is not Baia's strong point, they do not seem to be sensitive to families with young children but they do have some very well priced specials and though the food is enjoyable enough, it is nothing to write home about. A nice restaurant (and location) for a long or lazy meal but don't bother with Baia if you are in a rush to get to a show or something else afterwards!

WE had a great dinner here. We ordered poached tiger prawns w peach, chilli, cucumber and chardonnay vinaigrette which was mouth-watering and very fresh. The roasted almond, and corella pear salad was just perfect and hubby enjoyed his linguine with prawns with yellow and red cherry tomatoes. Very happy with portion size and service.

This is probably one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in the city. Firstly, it took over half an hour to get our drinks, then it took over an hour & a half to get our main meals which were absolutely TINY! Quite overpriced! Just because your in the city doesn't mean you should overcharge for such a small dish. Ended up getting McDonalds on the way home because we were still starving! I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone AT ALL!!

Approximate cost: $60.00

My friend used to work in there before and he told me if their business has gone down.

I went here yesterday for lunch. The special lunch menu is what caught our eye with a $20 special for either a pizza, pasta, or steak or fish witha free drink inluded plus coffee of hot chocolate after your meal so the value for money as great however the restaurant wasnt veru busy and it took a long time to order and then receive our meals the service was defiently a let down. The food was good we had pasta and fish both were yummy with great flavours. The view was lovely and it was a nice relaxed feel in the restaurant just a shame it took so long to get our meals. I would probably give this place another chance.

Approximate cost: $20

The locations is fantastic and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and efficient. It's a shame that the food let's them down. The prices are a tad high which is normal for being on the water, but the food does not validate these prices. We've had breakfast both times we went and it's okay but nothing special. And the little things are missing, like my eggs were cooked through when I ordered them soft and the toast had no butter. There are lots of places that do a better breakfast for less money.

Approximate cost: $18
