Came here with a few friends and we overestimated how much we could eat! The portions are huge! Which is great value for money, but would recommend definitely sharing and not ordering more than 1 dish/person. We got the dips, nachos, burrito, fajitas and another cheesey baked dish. Delicious and great ambiance with live music.

If I'm going to be honest, this wasn't the best experience I've ever had. Sure the food was nice & the service was pretty good but I think there's a bit of arrogance about the place that made me feel a bit unwelcome.
They have a strict booking policy ... if you book an early seat you kind of feel rushed to get out for them to get the next bums on chairs ... I understand that busy restaurants want maximum turn over but I still want to enjoy the dining experience.
My boyfriend & I still had a good time but I wouldn't go back in a hurry.

The food was pretty bland. We were expecting something spicy, from a traditional Mexican 'kitchen'. The atmosphere & artwork was very bright &traditional, it was a shame the food wasn't the same. The restaurant was squishy, & food was slow, it wasn't very busy, as we booked early, however it started filling quickly. It's fairly noisy, & would be more ideal for catching up for friends with drinks.

I went to Baja Cantina for a birthday and this was before they were on that restaurant renovation show on channel nine so things might have changed. Anyway, service was ok but the food is described as being "real mexican" not the tex mex Australians are used to although to be honest, I prefer tex mex if this authentic stuff is just black beans and corn chips and that's considered a nachos dish! The sangria is nice though and the corn chips are home made although a little oily.

Approximate cost: $18-25
