Been a loyal customer for a long time and buying two cars from them. Payed $780 for 120km service, new spark plugs oil change pretty much. The young girls had the worst customer service attitude in the servicing department. Girls couldn’t even look you in the eyes whilst talking and make you feel like a number. Used to be good when they were Holden. Never again, you lost me as a customer. Bye bye.

Approximate cost: $780

The service department at Ballarat Holden provided really exemplary service on a used 2009 Honda Accord that we bought from them. After purchase (but within the 3 month dealer warranty) the car exhibited overheating problems. Although the local Honda dealer could not "fault" the vehicle (reproduce and diagnose the problem), Ballarat Holden took the vehicle back and worked on it until they were able to reproduce the issue. Resolving the problem required the replacement of the radiator and thermostat. While they had our car they loaned us a brand new Holden Commodore Wagon for two weeks. After the repair was completed they returned our car to us freshly washed and vacuumed. Total cost: $0.

To me this is stunningly good service and I can recommend them to others without hesitation.

Dodgy place to go for your car to get service unless it is still under warranty. One lady sued them for not servicing her car as they simply changed the sticker on her windscreen without even touching the car (she witnessed them do this as they didn't even move her car from its original spot apart from taking it for a drive). They charge the earth and don't even do a good job. Heard of incidents of wheels not being fitted correctly and nearly falling off when driving and using the wrong type of tyres on cars.

Approximate cost: $400
