Great location next to the cinema so should be the perfect place for dinner before or after the movie. But it's not. I think they take for granted the are the only restaurant (other than the Pancake Parlour) that's close proximity to Hoyt's. The service is average as is the food, which is over priced for what it is. Instead I'd rather the walk from Town Square for a night out at the movies.

One of the original Eastland restaurants. Located directly opposite Hoyt's cinemas, it's a great pre movie dinner. It's quite large and subsequently good for functions, serving up typical tavern food with a bit more care.

great location, but im afraid it stops there, food is average overpriced, and the people that it seems to attract, not for me. But give it a try might be right sort of place for you.

I have to give this an aggressively average rating, personally, because their vegetarian options are severely lacking (I scanned the menu and found about two veggie options, from memory); the food is also quite expensive. I only go here a) when friends want to and b) because it's conveniently located for me. Having said that, the service isn't bad and they do make a lovely butternut pumpkin pizza (which I had without cheese. Being a vegan is so hard in the Eastern suburbs).

Nice and conveniently located opposite the cinema's in Eastland I've checked this restaurant out a few times. I would say the service, quality and appearance of the restaurant is average, nothing too special but not terrible either- a little bit on the expensive side though for what you get. Good for a meal before or after a film thanks to it's position and there is also a bar attached if you're just after a drink.

Balsamic is a convenient restaurant. Right next to the movies (they even offer a deal for cheaper movie tickets when you dine there). Food is pretty good, service can sometimes be a little slow when they're super busy, but staff are friendly and always helpful.

Great atmosphere, we sat mostly in the bar and had a great time. Not too over crowded and not annoyingly over loud. Has booth or tables or standing space and trivia night which are great fun

My daughter & I went to this restaurant last saturday night. We ordered steak and even though we had to send it back for more cooking. The meal was returned a very short time later and it was perfect. The only negative I would say is that the desert menu is too small, lol. I had to catch the eye of passing waitresses to refill my drinks maybe if they could check in with the patrons from time to time that would be great. But so far as dining experience goes I would definately go back again.

Expensive, but awesome. Regular visitor. From a first date with 2 exes and the wife, my 21st, night before my wedding with friends to calm me, awesome variety, great prices, very professional staff. Hope they never close.

We had been going to Balsamic almost weekly for about 2-3 years now. Always had been fantastic service, well priced and good food. In the last month it has absolutely gone downhill. Have you changed management or something?
In our past 4 visits we have noticed the quality of food has gotten worse, with smaller meal sizes. Price however is on the steady incline. If Balsamic is wanting to go a bit higher-class, by all means go for it- but the food quality and portion size needs much review!
Our past 4 visits have seen kids running around screaming, loud babies and overall a horrible dining experience. Balsamic has the prices of a nice inner-city restaurant with the food, service and dining experience of Daisey's in Ringwood. Clearly this business model isn't working as it is often near-empty.

Take some notes from Pancake Parlour across the road. Excellent food, well-priced, student specials, nice environment (no rampant kids!) and amazing service.

I was pleasantly suprised with this little gem hiding away in dodgy Ringwood. The food was great, staff were nice enough and the restaurant setting is really nice. The fireplace was a stand out. A must visit.

I like Balsamic. It has good lighting and indoor/outdoor areas. The bar section is the best and its funky for the suburbs! The meals are ok. Great size but a little pricey for simple foods $27.50 for a chicken parma is a bit expensive! I like the variety of choices and the staff have always been prompt and friendly.

overall the food is great, but i do find it to be a little bit overprice to what you get on your plate. (depending on what you order of course) but the service and food served is really good otherwise. maybe a suggestion to introduce a members card offering a discount to customers would lure me back in.

I went to this Restaurant with a group of friends for a farewell celebration. The food was excellent and of a really great quality. It was a bit pricey but as it was for a special occasion, I didn't mind too much.

The food is quite expensive and depending on what you order, can be pretty ordinary also. It also gets very busy and noisy. But the service is wonderful and will always go out of your way to order something off the menu

Have been going here since babies born-3yrs. Very accommodating for little ones-staff generally attentive and pleasant.
But lately...last two visits have been appalling. 2nd last visit my garlic mushrooms were gritty. Crunchy. As in NO one bothered to wipe the sand and soil they were grown in off them. Disgusting. And as I didn't complain enough, no discount offered no free meal. Just an apology
Last visit. My bacon fritters turned out to be tiny croquettes with weird flavorless mash inside-salty grossness. But the winner was the large LIVE beetle climbing it's way through my daughters salad.
Aarrrgh!!!! Yes we told the wait staff. Yes she apologized and asked if we wanted another meal. My daughter was so put off eating she said no thanks. We were told the chef would be informed...but after waiting forever half an hour for a comeback we decided to leave.
Staff at checkout had no idea about our beetle-and gave us 10% off our $150 bill.
I cannot believe we were still charged half of the beetle meal!!! We are from now on taking our business somewhere else. One with less beetles and nicer manners :)

Found these guys to be so helpful with allergies. They will even make things that are not on the menu. Very flexible. Only downside is they can take a little time on occasions. But the food is great. The other thing is maybe keep the area a little cleaner. Carpet could do with a change or a clean... Very black with dirt...

This place is a family friendly restaurant. They do fairly good food at reasonable prices. They also have snack type things for those of us who are yet to find a decent cafe at eastland - I especially recommend the aranchini! Not for children though, they are a bit spicy.

They have ok food at ok prices, the staff are friendly and helpful, but the service is quite slow, especially after you have been shown to a table.
The service at the bar part is excellent, they are speedy and efficient. The food they do in that part is also quite good.

I often eat here with friends and family and always have a great time. The decor is nice and up-to-date and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The food is great and if there's (rarely) something wrong (eg undercooked steak) then it's no trouble at all to fix the problem straight away. The service is very friendly and even when very busy there is not a very long wait for drinks or meals to be served.

This restaurant used to be the best place to eat in Eastland. Since it has gone through some changes, to the menu etc, the quality has gone down a bit. I have to admit that the food is served quickly and is hot when brought to the table. I still eat here with my friends and hopefully at the next change of menu, there will be a lift on quality

I've been to Balsamic a few times for lunch & dinner. I like the variety of choices on the menu & the food has always been enjoyable. The decor is nice & it's not too noisy. The last time I went for lunch they messed up my order & had to cook it again. When I finally got it it was quite nice. They offered a free cappuccino as compensation.

I have had both very good to just ok experiences at Balsamic. Its right near the movies so a great location to follow dinner with a movie. It has pleasant modern decor that allows you to go outside on warm nights. Quite a view. But the quality and service is such a mixed bag at most times. Our last visit for example my cappuccino just wasn't hot enough. I know I should have complained but who to. There never seems to be enough staff for the volume of customers at the cafe/restaurant. This often frustrates movie goers who are on a tight time line for service. On the other hand the main course was very nice but more expensive than I was expecting.
