The first time I stepped into this restaurant with a friend of mine I really enjoyed it. It is a smart casual environment and I think it is more suited to the ages between 20 and 40, I think mainly because of it's setting and next to it there is a bar. A variety of great food and at a reasonable price.

This place used to be a lot better, but in recent times it attracts a pretty average crowd and seems more like the place to pick up and get sloshed, than have a good night out and meal with friends.

The menu has good choices, but it's a bit pricey considering this is a restaurant located at a shopping centre. I'd prefer the food court to be honest.

Always packed, the menu has been changed and they cut half the meals off, plus put the prices up.. Ok for a local lunch but not recommended for a nice night out. There isn't a lot of variety and the service is rather slow and average.

We have eaten here a few times before with various experiences. Last night was one of the good ones. We had a tandoori chicken pizza and a new york deli pizza both were delicious and served quickly. Followed by a Mars Bar cake for dessert, this was quite dry and not great. The service was friendly and attentive, nothing was a problem- we needed an highchair everything done with a smile.

I have been here a few times. The food is good but nothing special. I find it to be very noisy. I much prefer the lounge for a few drinks than the restaurant.

The Pizza's are beautiful and sometimes they have a deal for cheap pizza between certain hours. My only bad experience is that every salad I have ordered has bits of grit of dirt in them. I think they musn't wash the lettuce properly.

My family and i love going to the Balsamic Bar in ringwood for lunch or dinner. Excellent food and great friendly service. We go there often and it is great to be treated like a friend. Great wine also.

Have been to Balsamic several times - I always have a good time, have good food, drinks and service. Nice atmosphere even when a bit busy. Reasonable portion sizes for mains - entrees not such good value. It's not cheap and the surcharge on public holidays makes it almost unaffordable. They have a movie ticket deal with main courses which is cool.

Though Balsamic has a great ambiance and awesome views, I find it is a bit expensive for the food that you get. the food is nice but not extraordinary and is not worth how much you pay.

this is a decent restaurant, conveniently located near the cinema so a good place to get a bite to eat before seeing a movie. food is always good value for what you pay for and all are fairly large servings. would recommend the dips, prawn risotta and lamb wrap. good wine list, nice ambience, cozy atmosphere. also an attached bar if you feel like kicking on but dont want to drive anywhere.

A good meeting place before going to the movies or a good place to catch up with friends. The meals are good and there is a good variety also. The service can be quite erratic at times. Sometimes staff are attentive and at other times orders get forgotten (especially drink orders). You can order drinks at your table or at the bar. The bar does attract a young crowd later in the evening.

Since moving to the area just over a year ago, this has become a favourite place to eat. We've tried other restaurants but always come back to this one. Never had a bad meal and the staff are always excellent.

We have visited Balsamic many times over the last few years. Food is good, but service can vary from good to slow and inconsistent.
Somethings are good value for money but others over priced for what you get. For example The Thai wraps are very nice but I felt the iced-coffee was over-priced.
We ordered food and drinks - food came out together but when the drinks are different (ie hot and cold) often they come out at different times up to 15min apart. This has happened a few times where we have asked where the other drink is.
We probably continue to go their because we know what not to order and seems to be a popular meeting place. Generally food and drinks are taste good

Having been to Balsamic Restaurant several times over the past few months, the service and food have been different each time.

First, I had a dinner of Cesar Salad. It was really great! But slow and inattentive service.

Second, for lunch. Ordered simply coffee and cake. Poor service, stuffed up the order and was there for ages!

Thridly, last week we went for dinner on a Saturday night. They were very busy, but the food was AMAZING! The staff were really great, attended to our needs and i'll say it again, the food was AMAZING. (I had the Champagne Prawn Risotto) Yum!

I will visit again, but maybe not for lunch.

Recommended here over Pancake Parlor when seeing a movie at night.

I visit balsamic on a regular basis and have yet to have a bad meal there. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, great for a dinner for 2 or even a work meeting. The drinks list is extensive, and so is the menu! No matter what you feel like, there's something to cater for every taste.

You can enjoy a great meal and glass of wine sitting next to a warm fireplace or whilst watching the footy on their large screen TV. Nice atmosphere but can get quite loud and bust on weekend nights.

Food good, service slow and not very attentive to customer needs, better training for waiting staff as would be a disaster if place was busy. Overall place is passable but slow service is a let down.

Dining here in a group of 20 for a birthday and being right near the front I would have thought the service would be more attentive with our bill being of $600. One waitress was lovely but as for management they didnt seem to care even when a meal was completely forgotten by them they argued the point blaming our party for moving around too much at the table and confusing them.

Good food, good menu - they do breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good views. Good atmosphere and great fireplace! Quick service for movie goers, and they do a movie ticket meal deal. We eat there regularly and have not had a bad experience.

The food here is nice, enticing... the portions are a little on the small side. The wine selection is good. Desserts are yummy. Service is poor. You almost have to yell at a passing waiter/ess to get their attention and then, often, you have to follow up to make sure they remembered!!

The first time I ever went to Balsamic, I really enjoyed what I had ordered, a little pricey but still enjoyable. Then a few months later I decided that I wanted to have a birthday dinner there with friends. So there was a group of 40 people who came for dinner, and the service was pretty good...our waitress was wonderful! And the food was great!

Working in Ringwood we go there quite regularly for a drink after work on a Friday. The bar area has improved significantly since the smoking ban was enforced. Ok wine list but glass prices a little on the high side. Service can be a little unpredictable.

Balsamic is a great little cafe/restaurant/bar at Eastland Shopping Centre. Reasonable menu, though not a great variety of options for vegetarians. The food was good and the the atmosphere is good too - balcony seats and a fire place to suit any weather. Staff were a bit unattentive on this occasion, it took some time after being seated to be asked for our order. Later we started to look around for someone to order coffee with which we were spotted and someone came by. Would have been better if they had come by earlier of their own accord though as by the time we got their attention it had been a long time since food.

Great place to dine at, but even better to relax in the bar, with plenty of sofas, stools and a mini dance floor if the need arises. The Sunday sessions of acoustic band is a great idea to chill out with friends and relax in a casual yet classy environment. Bar staff are all very friendly, a large array of drinks at the bar, at average prices. Smokers are catered for with a balcony featuring heating, making it pleasurable for all.

When this first opened it used to be great. Over time they have reduced the meal portion size, put up the prices and changed the menu to include some not so great things. They also have a 'bar' section next door which is too loud most nights.
