This was my first port of call when looking for a new Golf Wagon in 2011. On my first visit, the young salesperson I was referred to seemed annoyed that I was calling in at about 4 pm and asked me to come back another day for a test drive. I did so, and to be fair here, was allowed to take it for a drive without him, but when I then wanted to test another model that was definitely too much trouble. I also emailed him re the origin of the car and his reply said South Africa when in fact it is Mexico. This tells me he was either lying or did not have some pretty basic product knowledge. I went to another dealer - Burwin. They told me the truth.

I'm generally wary about car salesmen. But if more car salesmen were like the gentleman that served us at Barloworld VW then I'd be far less suspicious. We were looking at getting a bigger family car and were just browsing. The salesman who served us was very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. It was close to closing time but he never rushed us and was very patient.
We didn't end up buying a car that day as we found out that our insurance company would replace our car rather than giving us the money to spend on another one. But next time we're in the market I'm going to these guys.
They also do other cars even though the storefronts say Holden and Volkswagen. So all in all a good one stop shop for any car that takes your fancy.

The staff do not seem to want your business. When you walk in they are sitting behind their desks & will ignore you. When we did eventually get served the staff member who I rather not mention the name was not very good at all & not keen to sell a car. Very laid back attitude & finding someone to serve you is very hard & they were not busy when we went there.

We were interested in looking at a deisel volkswagen and the dealer we spoke was very helpful but never pushy. We went for a test drive and the car was just what we wanted. The dealer negotiated a price that was within our price range so we decided to go ahead with the purchase. The staff were all friendly and we were introduced to the service manager and the overall manager of the dealership. We were never pressured into making a decision.
