Right on Brisbane river and has the most amazing views: came here with my sil for lunch last week

Love this place. Location is excellent overlooking the river and there is outdoor seating. The beers are delicious and there are plenty to choose from. All different size glasses too. Prices are to be expected for imported beer. Service was excellent and friendly too. They have a restaurant as well but I haven't eaten here.

Just had my toothache fixed and wanted to finally enjoy a good meal. This was the perfect place. The pot of mussels is the best in Brisbane. I found myself drinking all the soup the mussels came in after eating all the mussels. The chips that came with the mussels were just as good, not just a side dish.

I am a fan of german food and beer and the Bavarian Bier Cafe lives up to it in the expectation. Their tasting platter is fantastic with my only complaint that I would also want the pork knuckle on the tasting plate. They have a great range of beers and you can have beer flights also to taste a number of them. My complaint is in regards to the prices with the beer and food both being overpriced. I prefer the Brisbane German Club for their price and comparable food and better range of beer however the atmosphere and location is better at the Bavarian.

Fantastic serving sizes and service though don't go there if you are hoping for a quiet night out. Very busy and noisy at most times. Wished they would revert back to using 'panko' crumbs for their schnitzels as they were the best.

We recently had a girls night out at this venue and were very impressed. They are located on the river with a great view of the Story bridge. Staff were friendly, lots of different meals to try and large portion sizes. They have a great variety of German beers to try including some non alcoholic beers for the designated drivers & mums to be! Busy on weekends, definitely need to book!
Will definitely visit this venue again.

I've eaten here several times and every time the Schnitzel never disappoints! The service is good and the food is served in large portions - so bring a big appetite! They also have all kinds of German beer to try, including a non-alcoholic variety! This place is popular on the weekends and of an evening so make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

Great location with views! Waitresses were wearing traditional German clothing which is awesome! Food was amazing, pork knuckle with sauerkraut was yummy! One of my favourite places to eat , drink and have a great time!

ordered the sharing platter for 2 and its more than enough to feed 6 girls. go for the onion rings as well its delicious! dont forget to book a table b4 hand though cuz it gets crowded especially on weeknights. food wise, i would say its not consistent. i have been there twice, the 1st time was really good while the second time not so. nevertheless i enjoyed both my visits there

The Bavarian is cool. Impressive decor, views of the river and funky vibe make it a great place to hang out for a drink. Obviously there's a pretty expansive beer list, with good quality imports. And although not the finest food you'll ever eat, its also a good place for some good old fashioned comfort food. Since when was German food fancy anyway?
Highly recommended for groups and/or out of town visitors to show off Brisbane. Slightly on the exey side but that's to be expected considereding its location. All in all a must at least once.
