They must have listen as they revamped the joint. The former principal retired and the new CEO is friendly and supportive and even put on a bbq for us but unfortunately no alcohol. The teachers are awesome and I just love studying at Bedford College so much. They now operate like a uni but are cheaper and highly recommend you to study at Bedford.

I attended Bedford College and studied the Diploma of Childrens Services and am extremely disappointed with all aspects of the college.

In hindsight I wish that I had not made the decision to attend.

The resources are very poor considering the fees that were paid.

The principal was very rude to the students on many occasions and we were treated very poorly.

I did not get the credits going in to university that they had led me to think I would.

I would not reccomend attending Bedford college to do this course.

I found the bedford (childcare) to be rushed and I don't feel prepared to work in the workforce. The principle was very rude to us and I felt the lack of funding for our activities, considering we payed astronomical fees appalling. We wanted to do an activity and were told we couldn't because they couldn't afford the glue. I don't agree that they donate so much money to charities, it should be us to fundraise and give ourselves not use our fees. Overall I found most of the teachers supportive and helpful. They did their best with what they were given. The building is depressing, the lack of natural lighting left me with a headache at the end of each day and there were far to many people in that building for what it was built for.
I felt like we were not treated as adults, the simple fact that if we were seen with our phone in class it was taken for the rest of the day or that if we were 15mins late we got locked out for the whole lesson was ridiculous. Also it is a baptist college and you will be forced to sit in devotions for half an hour every week, even if you do not believe in this - this was something we were not told before hand.
I would not recommend anyone go there.

Approximate cost: $12000

An excellent training college for both business and child care studies. Students study in small classes by professional staff both current in their industry and with teaching. Good facilities available to the students with kitchens and common rooms. Caring Christian environment - very body matters. Good pathways for university available.
