The Big Bendy slide is good fun on a warm day, for both kids and the big kids. Nice surroundings but it would be nice if they had a pool big enough for swimming. The large pool is very shallow for toddlers. The pool at the base of the slide is a bit deeper but its tiny and you can't really hang out, given that it is at the bottom of the slide! They also do group bookings for parties.

If you don't like overly crowded public pools, this is the place to be. Gorgeous landscaping, lots of shade, and a toddler pool too. There is also a waterslide that our kids love! A kiosk, as you'd expect, to buy snacks, and tables to sit at with your family.

Prices are steep for the area though.

bendigo water world is a great pool! we always take my little sister there because there is plenty of shady spots to sit where you can still see the kids in the pool. The people there are always nice and are happy to give the kids a mat or ball if they have one. great pool because it doesn't get to crowded which is why i don't go to the bigger pools.

This is where they put the old Big Bendy water slide from the aquatic centre, set in a bush setting with bbq's that you can pack a nice lunch and go and enjoy while the kids are having fun. Shady places to sit and a shop that you can buy food and drinks from. They also have another pool for smaller kids. Could be cheaper for what it is

Bendigo Water World is actually located in the Ironbark/White Hills suburb of Bendigo among the national park/forest areas. The landscaping inside the Water World reminds me of a tropical resort complex with palms, yuccas and other various strappy grass plants and succulents.

There is a giant bending water slide for kids and adults and a smaller toddler pool for young children. The park has a decent outdoor seating and bbq area with free use of barbecues. There is also a kiosk where you can purchase snacks and drinks. It is expensive considering there is only the one large slide to go on, compared to other water parks. However, this doesn't seem to phase the kids as they spend all their time going up to the top of the slide, sliding down into the pool and then getting out and climbing up only to slide down again! I wouldn't take the kids here all the time, it is better for one off afternoons of water fun!

They do close over the winter months but open again in Spring when the weather warms up.

Approximate cost: $20
