i highly recommend this to all types of partners. i was very skeptical but found my partner really relied on me during the birth of our son and found that i was quite involved in the birth experience. thanks to all the relaxation and breathing techniques we learned out birth was a very positive experience

After chatting with the staff at the hospital we are birthing at, discovered that breathing techniques were not going to be taught in classes provided. So we did some research into external classes that provide this, and came across Jo, she had wonderful reviews, so we decided to give her class a go.

And boy were we happy we did so, we went there expecting to be taught only how to breath through labor, but we left feeling empowered, confident and with the knowledge to have a comfortable and even enjoyable, birthing experience.
Nothing like the horror of what you see on TV these days.

Jo's classes were fantastic. She was knowledgeable, open and created an environment where we felt comfortable to ask any question. We ended up having a drug free birth and arrived at the hospital fully dilated after 7 hours of labour at home. Without the techniques we learnt we would not have been able to progress as far as we did. The class itself and the resources provided as part of the class were excellent preparation and we will be returning for a refresher coure when we feel ready for the next one!!

My partner and I were do blessed to have participated in Jo's classes, they are intimate, and provide you with the confidence to achieve your "dream birth" we were pregnant with our first and I wanted to have this amazing experience of "I can't wait to do it all over again" feeling. So after the classes we asked Jo to attend the birth of our first to keep us focused. And it was everything and more of could asked for, she keeled us grounded and gave my partner the confidence to support me through the whole process. Jo makes it a personal experience not just a job to her, she stayed many hours after to the birth to share in the moment also and to make sure we 110% fine before she left, she is an amazing women and I can't highly recommend her classes enough. I will keep this memory with me for a life time and it wouldn't have been such a positive experience without Jo. Thank you xxx

Jo was helpful, informative and friendly. It was easy to chat to her and she was great at providing information tailored to my specific situation (twins, 1 breech). I was able to achieve a non-medicated natural twin birth with a breech extraction - thanks to the techniques she taught me. If I ever have any more children, I will certainly contact her again.

Highly recommend for any expecting couples, whether it be first time or those who may not have had a great experience previously. Makes a big difference when both mother and partner are equipped with a number of different tools and techniques to assist along the way. Made a huge difference for us personally.

I didn't hesitate in calling Jo as soon as i found out I was pregnant with my second child.
My husband & I had attended Joanne's course mid our first pregnancy. Working in a maternity hospital as a anesthetic nurse I am more than aware how unpredictable & intense birth can be. I prepared intensely for the first birth and practiced hypnobirthing techniques while envisioning my ultimate birth.
When it came time to get ready for my second birth I felt confident but felt I needed some work on trusting my body & releasing some fears I had held onto subconsciously. I organized a private session with Jo where she provided me with a little refresher & advice I needed to trust my body. Im happy to say that hypnobirthing saw me through a more intense shorter labour. My second son was welcomed in water at the Mercy FBC with Joanne by my side as my Doula. I believe both my births would have taken a very different path if Ihadn't invested in Born2birth Hypnobirhing class & can't recommend Jo highly enough to all of my pregnant friends & colleagues.

Women really need better access to education on the birthing process so they can make more informed decisions. Every pregnant woman needs a Jo in their life to give them such info!

My husband and I were interested to learn more about hypnobirthing when we found that we were expecting our second child and also after feeling that we had little control over the long and difficult birth of our first child.

A close friend recommended Born2Birth Hypnobirthing classes. We are so glad she did! Jo made us feel instantly welcome and at ease. The classes were informative, relaxed and enjoyable. Jo was very knowledgable and encouraging.

We took a hypnobirthing class with Jo in May 2012 to prepare for the birth of our first child, due in June. The course was very informative and Jo was an excellent teacher. She was also very accommodating, visiting our home to go through the second session as my husband couldn't attend.
I didn't have much time to practice the breathing/relaxation methods we learned but during my labour I definitely felt I was able to relax and was confident in the knowledge that my body knew what it was doing. My 10lb baby boy was born naturally and I know in part I have Jo to thank for this.
I can highly recommend her and plan to do a refresher course the next time we're pregnant.

Jo offers a fantastic, calm and informative Hypnobirthing experience in the comfort of her home. I found the 2 days to be extremely informative but in a very personal and relaxed atmosphere. Best of all, it helped me achieve a calm, natural birth experience - which I had really been hoping for.

The hypnobirthing sessions were really enjoyable, relaxing and informative. Joanne gave me heaps of confidence that I could in fact do it naturally and that fear was not only unnecessary but unwelcome. The relaxation techniques and visualisations were amazing throughout the latter part of my pregnancy. Although I didn't end up using the actual 'hypnobirthing' techniques during my super-quick and intense labour, the overall confidence I gained and thought-processes I learned meant that I was able to face it without fear and I'm sure that this resulted in a natural, drug-free and positive (yes, it is possible!) birth experience.

My husband and I attended a small class at Jo's home, and also a private session in our own home. Jo is such a lovely person and we are so pleased we found out about Hypnobirthing and did the course with Jo. We learnt so much and feel so much more confident and can't wait for the birth of our first baby. I used to be so terrified at the thought of labour and birth, but now I know there is no need to be, I know that I am a woman and birth is what I am made for. I know that sounds super corny but it's true! Also my husband feels he is ready to be an important and active supporter during all aspects of the labour, not just take up space and stand around being 'useless.'

A great introduction to Hypnobirthing. Jo made us feel immediately at ease in her lovely home. An excellent two-day course with a variety of different learning techiniques in self-relaxation, open discussion and dvds.

A great course, in a wonderful setting which allows you to immerse yourself in the power of self-belief, relaxation and the wonders of nature.

For those looking to pursue a natural birth, Hypobirthing is a fantastic approach, and Jo is a great teacher. The relaxation techniques worked really well and I felt very comfortable talking with Jo and learning about the whole birthing process. Surprisingly my husband also got a lot out of the courses and although they are not cheap you get a lot of value out of the whole experience and I would strongly recommend Jo.

I can honestly say that I have released all my fear in relation to child birth since attending Joanne's Born2Birth Hypnobirth classes. This fear built from the opinions of others, scary birth stories and witnessing high intervention births first hand in my profession as an anaesthetic nurse.
I now sit comfortably knowing we have invested time in gaining valuable techniques & skills introduced to us by Joanne & her informative Hypnobirthing course. I now trust my body and my baby, what ever path our birthing takes and we welcome the birthing day of our first child. I highly recommend expecting parents to take this course.

We really enjoyed our classes with Jo Brimelow in hypnobirthing. We found Jo's approach to be very positive and encouraging. Jo provided us a one on one course which we were so grateful for as my husband and I left it until I was 34 weeks pregnant before we decided that this was how we wanted to birth.
