Went for drinks and desert. Staff were more than happy to take a booking that wasn't for dinner. Everything on the desert menu looked great, but I chose a vacherin with chocolate sauce. It was amazing!!!!! I have been for a meal on 2 other occasions and NEVER had a bad experience!

Used to love coming here with my mum especially in the colder months when their fire is lit because it is just such a cosy and warm eating area. Great meals with a good variety on the menu but can be a little bit expensive, but worth it for the meal you receive. Not the biggest pub but very classy

This pub was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Bendigo. Our party of 6 adults and 4 children arrived without a booking and were accomodated without any problems on Easter Sunday. The interior of the pub is decorated with old photos and antiques of Bendigo adding to the character of the place. There is a spacious courtyard outside, we were seated inside and where we were sitting did not feel too crowded at all. There is a bar menu, a bistro menu and a kids menu. The specials are reasonably priced and there were also some mouthwatering desserts, which if we ever go back there I will try. The staff were very friendly and came to the table at regular intervals to see if everything was ok. I had a chicken parma with chips and salad, it was one of the best parma's I've had, the meat was so tender and melted in my mouth. Everyone was happy with their meal.

Approximate cost: $19-35

The Old Boundary Hotel is one of my fave pup's in Bendigo. You do need to book most of the time.
It is small and a little cramped but what it lack in space makes up for with charm and character. There is a little History with the hotel and hanging around the wall's.

The meals are always substantial so unless your REALLY hungry don't get an entrée although they are hard to resist as there are some nice choice's, I always find my eye's are bigger than my belly and have one to share anyway.
I Love their rib-eye and it is always cooked perfectly but I never seem to be able to finish it even if I don't have an entrée.
The meals do take a little time to come out so I try to make a booking when it's not to busy as in right on Dinner time, but are always hot and just what you ordered.

I think they could do with more parking, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere for it, so as I said above, if you know you going to go, go earlier

If you want a bit of Bendigo history visit the Boundry. This little pub has a great atmosphere and great food. The only down fall is that it is very busy and noisy on weekends.

Approximate cost: $25
