Best sausage rolls ever! Go for the pork or the lamb ones. I also love their tarts and cakes. It gets really really busy on the weekends, so be prepared to wait. Limited seating but I usually just grab and go.
Bourke Street Bakery is a fabulous place to get your sausage roll and pie fix. I really love their pork and fennel sausage roll and their meat pie. Their bread is also very good and so is their sweet selection.
l love pies and sausage rolls and these sound very different.
If you feel like a nice Ginger tart then you must visit Bourke Street Bakery. They have branches at Surry Hills, Alexandria, Neutral Bay, Potts Point and all of them makes this amazing mouth-watering tart. They are only $5 each and they are the best $5 you can spend on .You can grab Potato & Rosemary Sourdough if you go there on weekend. Great price and friendly staff.
Will remember this bakery for when my daughter returns to Sydney. She lives nearby
i just love this place so much you can just tell from the distance its not just me who is in love with this place always busy with huge flow of people have amazing dessert that will make you feel like going again again. they have one of the best croissant in the town worth visiting place and price is not a big concern at all
A great little bakery. I had the ginger creme brûlée and a croissant. The creme brûlée was not too sweet and the top was hard. The ginger was a nice addition and just made it superb! The croissant was very buttery and nice. All of this is very filling too! Service wasn't special and you get yelled at by waiters as they try to pass you by with hot coffees (it is cramped inside). Pretty of sitting outside though. Overall, a great bakery.
Approximate cost: $5
Totally agree! Love this bakery!!
Hands down, the best almond croissant I have ever had. None of that artificial, slightly bitter tang that often hits with less authentic almond-flavoured croissants, this was the real deal. Melts into your mouth with a warm, buttery sweetness that is evenly balanced. Not too sweet. If you go, this is a beautiful dessert to follow up some of their savoury pastries. Their chocolate milk is also delicious, cute and with what I think is a bit of malt as well mixed in, again not too sweet, which I think is one of the best parts, it's not over-anything, it's all very well-proportioned. It's not too far to get to, the walk is definitely worth it, and the space itself, while small, is stocked to the brim and the staff are lovely.
It is not hard to see why there were people queuing up even in the rain, nor why people consider this place an institution in Sydney.Three tables indoors, and because it was raining, no tables outdoors. But still, an endless flow of people, taking away, waiting for tables to free up, it was really quite a a sight. The ginger creme brulee tart sounded amazing, but I didn't have the space for that.Instead, my companion and I had their ham and cheese croissant, the daily special of a ham cheese mustard toastie, and 2 flat whites each.
I buy my sourdough bread here when I'm in Surry Hills. It is the best at a reasonable cost. It is real sourdough not the fake stuff you get in Coles. The staff are friendly, young & funky!
One of my favourite places to eat. Definitely come here for the ginger ginger brulee tart, pork and fennel sausage rolls and the yummy lemon tarts! Everything is heavenly and i can't wait to bite into them when I come here.
keep In mind it is very busy and popular with the locals, so be wary of the queue's.
Definitely recommend you must try!!
Approximate cost: $5 +
After heard recommendation from my friend I went straight to the shop and I'am shock because the price is brilliant cheap also many choices. The pork sausages so yummy and perfect.
