TERRIBLE NEW_CAR ORDER EXPERIENCE

I ordered a BMW X6 in October 2022 with a specific config in terms of trim, exterior and interior, etc. After waiting for more than 6 months, the car arrived in the dealership but it wasn't what I ordered! The interior config was too ugly, so that if I purchased any in-stock X6 back in October 2022, it would have been nicer. Initially, I was told that it was Factory's fault, but later when I went through contract of purchase documents and the dealership's submitted order, I realised that the dealership sent the wrong order to the factory.
I received three options:
1- Pay extra $8000 and wait for a new car!
2- get the interior config changed at the dealership at no cost
3- get some money refunded as compensation

The car interior was so ugly that I was determined to change it.
Option 1 was irrelevant, because I couldn't wait another 6 months, and wasn't happy with paying extra money for someone else's fault, and wasn't sure whether they will make the same mistake again!
I was not happy with Option 2 either because the reviews were not good about this dealership and decided not to modify a $160k car here.
I was not happy with option 3 too, because the minimum cost of changing the interior at somewhere that I could trust was more than twice the compensation amount.
I was forced to choose option 3 eventually as I had no other option, but I was not happy with it at all.

The fact that I waited 6 months for a new car worth around $160k and it wasn't what I ordered, and I ended up paying more to modify a company ordered car, suggests that you should think twice before purchasing your car from this dealership. I wouldn't do that again!

Approximate cost: $160000

DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELVES PLEASE READ THIS
I have waited months to write this in the hope that somehow the issues we have had would get better, in the hope that they would "restore the faith" as they said they would.
It has only got worse
We purchased an M3 Competition, second hand, but it was just a few months old. On the day we collected it in March there was an obvious issue with a loud cracking noise when we turned the steering wheel. We called the same day & it was booked in 5 days later.
We were told 4 times it was Top Mount Suspension arm, & 4 times it went in to be fixed, & 4 times it came back with the same issue. I was told it was safe, but this really was not the point as we purchased the car to show it & how can you show a car making that sort of noise? Hardly anything to be proud of.
Additionally, there were other issues, speakers rattling, dashboard vibrating & the door cards detached from the passenger door. Even coming back with damage to the door which they repaired, and promptly stuck an advertising “dent repair” sticker inside the driver door.
By June, after 7 visits to the dealership, I was over it and wanted our money back, but we were asked to let them "restore the faith" & were given an extended warranty. Foolishly I agreed to give them 1 last chance, warning them that if anything further occurred, I wanted a refund.
It took until July 11 to get the car correctly diagnosed as a Shock Absorber issue, why? on a car that was just a few months old. I was told "parts fail" & the noise is similar to top mount. 4 times though?
I accept that parts fail, except that we have now learned that the car was heavily modified prior to our purchase which is likely the cause. It had a lowering kit on it & "pipe" exhausts & this was not disclosed to us prior to purchase. We know they knew about it.
Prior to learning this information however, we let them have the car for repair from 11 July until mid August, however when it was returned to us, the headlight sensor had not been reset, meaning the lights pointed straight up, dazzling oncoming traffic, I was abused by a man whilst driving it as a result.
When I called BMW the next day about this I was told "we didn't touch the headlights" I had to google the fact that the car has a sensor that needs resetting after such works. Restoring the faith?
2 WEEKS LATER - A TPM warning light - TYRE PRESSURE MANAGEMENT
We took it in again.
We were advised that the TPM had switched to track tyres for some reason, this reason was not investigated.
Sure enough, we drove it home and the TPM light came on again.
So back it went again.
The TPM needs replacing I am now told & the part would take some weeks for it to come in & so the car was left on site with Brisbane BMW.
That weekend, we received notification from the BMW APP that the car was unlocked. We went to look for it & found it under a partially open roof, windows down, lights on, ignition on, on charge (for reasons we still don't know) We were told the keys were in a safe, but I am not convinced
There was dust from the nearby construction everywhere, I have photos, the suede/leather/carbon interior was completely open to insects, dust, birds and of course rain. We are not averse to swirling winds & rain in Brisbane & this is exactly what we got that day. I had to wait until Monday to collect it & I finally let them know my feelings. This was 10 days ago. I have still not received the response I asked for in relation to this event, but I have received an arrogant response that they "fixed" everything so far & are still fixing all the other things as if to say “what’s the issue?” I haven’t even had a written apology for leaving my car wide open nor comment re: the modifications. We have been so patient, "lovely to deal with & reasonable" (their words) yet here we are.
My reasonableness expired last week & I am so angry.
We still await the TPM for its repair btw. Our car sits in our garage because they cannot be trusted to keep it safe. My car was not the only car with windows and doors open, disgraceful.

After searching for a new car and nearly purchasing one we decided to visit Brisbane BMW. We thought we would be judged because of our age but it was the complete oppersite. Our salesman was fantastic and we signed on the dotted line that afternoon. Had to wait 3 months for the car but they kept in contact throughout. The delivery experience was awesome and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new car.

It was amazing experience including Great Customer Service, willingness and desire by sales staff to help and " bend over backwards attitude" to make their Customers happy.
Despite of the fact that deal didnt go through and couldnt come to seal the deal, they have maintaned their professionalism, courtesy, giving their best effort to please.
Sales person that I was dealing with ,had an absolute professional approach and giving 110% at all times without pushing for a deal ,signature or contract.
