So far only positive experiences with this practice. Dr. Katherine Yannopoulos, the hygienists and reception staff have all been so lovely and skilled.
Had wisdom teeth out recently and Dr. Jun Hyun Kim was amazing, very quick, clearly skilled and considerate. The experience was also pain free which was great.
All very appreciated.

I am having orthodontic treatment with Dr Jim Y. He quoted $6500 for ceramic braces and white wires, 2 years treatment.
The whole process was made easy by continuing the treatment from dental to orthodontic services at Brunswick Dental. The hygienist service is also highly recommended. It's one-stop for all dental treatment.

I saw both Dr Yap and a dental hygienist at this practice recently and had an excellent experience. They both explained to me in detail the reasons for the issues I had been having and gave clear options about what could be done and how to prevent further problems in the future. I was very happy with the quality of service, the care taken and the advice given. I will be returning for my next dental appointment.

Very happy experience. Daniel was patient and informative. In the USA my dentist gave me twice as many fillings in two years as i had in the past 30. Looking at the recent xrays Daniel explained that my teeth have not suddenly decayed. There weren't any holes or similar, it was just a case of being super uber conservative, or making money. Big relief, my teeth aren't starting to fall out. The hygienists are friendly and studious, thoroughly enjoying their job and working with their colleagues.

I highly recommend this place. Been seeing Dr Jun Kim for years now. Very informative, thorough and skilled. I was very nervous about the dental treatments but he was very reassuring and gentle. Got 4 wisdom teeth taken out, healed well without much swelling. Fillings feel smooth and aesthetic. Friendly receptionists too! Highly recommend.

I came across Brunswick Dental Group due to an emergency problem. The practice was fully booked but the fantastic receptionist understood my desperate need and squeezed me in. I saw Dr Yap, and I was so pleased I did. I've always been very fearful of dentist but he was so lovely, not at all like dentists I have had in the past. He made me feel so comfortable and explained everything so I could understand what was happening with my tooth. Even though I know I was squeezed in he didn't make me feel rushed and actually listened to me and my fear of needles! Before the treatment started he needed to numb me and I didn't even feel the needle!! Not one bit!! My overall experience at this practice was a positive one, everyone was so nice and friendly. I even was offered a coffee. I live about an hour away but this will now become my dentist it's worth the travel

I went to this clinic for orthodontic work and now that I have completed my treatment I couldn't be happier. Dr Daniel Yap is friendly, professional and his attention to detail is fantastic. In addition to excellent quality of work, this clinic was the cheapest quote I received for this dental work. I would highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr Daniel Yap for the past 5 years or so and couldn't be happier with him. He is a very caring, gentle and experienced dentist always with a smile on his face. And he always uses numbing gel before giving injections :-) I have had Daniel fix a dental disaster on my front tooth (done by another dentist who I will never go back to) and I know now I will never, EVER see any other dentist but Daniel Yap. All the staff are so friendly, especially the receptionist Jade.
I travel about 30 minutes or more to get to this dental surgery and I will continue to do so because I know I will always have a good experience.

Have gone here a few times as it's so close to home, but will not again.
Both the dentists I've seen here seem to be more concerned about upselling their other products (such as braces) rather than personal care. A neighbour who has also gone here has had the same experience of them suggesting expensive and unecessary orthodontic work.

Before that it even happens I was left in waiting rooms with big flat TVs screening awful commerical TV. I would much rather listen to music. If they have to have the TVs on, surely it should be on a non-commerical channel? Elsewhere throughout the surgery I also hear commerical radio.

Despite it's closeness I'll find another dental surgery.

EDIT: I spoke to Dr. Yap today who advised that they are reviewing the policy of having commercial TV on in the waiting rooms which is a good move. Some people may not mind it, but for others the loud commercials and celebrity 'gossip' while you wait is not a good start! Hopefully other businesses also review what's showing if they have screens. Thanks for listening to my concerns Dr. Yap.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and chatting with me on the phone today. It's always great to hear directly from patients on how we can improve our practice! As you can probably tell, we do take feedback from our patients very seriously.

As we discussed on the telephone, if you have any suggestions regarding what we have showing on our televisions please do let us know. We've had a fair few patients letting us know that they cannot stand the commercial television channels, which is why we're trialling dental education videos with some soft background music. We've had mixed feedback, mostly positive but I would welcome any more ideas I could bring up at our next staff meeting!

I was mortified to hear that you felt we were upselling to you. I have worked at other surgeries where the owners would pressure practitioners into pushing certain services and I left those practices quick smart because to me, that is unethical.

When we see a problem (for instance decay and gum disease) or a potential problem (crowded/crooked teeth leading to poor oral hygiene which leads to decay or gum disease, or bad bites leading to jaw joint problems or traumatic bites leading to increased wear and broken teeth), we have a duty of care to our patients to let them know what is going on. Other dentists who do not have Orthodontic treatment in their toolboxes may just shrug it off or wait for the problems to occur. At Brunswick Dental Group we subscribe to the philosophy that "Prevention is better than cure".

Patients will ask us when they want braces to improve their appearance. I only offer braces to patients if I can see an obvious problem or potential problem from a functional standpoint. This only happens to a very small percentage of my patients.

I hope this helps explain why you were offered braces. I apologise for any miscommunication on my behalf, especially if it felt like I was upselling.

I have been using the services of BDG for the past 20 years. I was initially referred to them by an acquaintance when we were discussing braces. Since then my three children (who care now nearly 30 years old) have had braces and all their required checks, hygiene checks and fillings when required. I have even gone ahead and had braces at my age (50) knowing after 3 children that the services were A1. Everyone is happy, family keep going there and we definately recommend them for general dental and braces, not to mention major dental as over the years my husband and I have had several crowns fitted by Jim and also (unfortunately) a couple of root canals each. We won't go anywhere else.
