The food was good, the portions were large. It was very busy the time I visited. I would certainly go back.

I have eaten at Budapest privately and also used them for corporate functions. The food is awesome and the atmosphere is very classy. If you are after a home cooked feel delivered with a restaurant quality finish this is the place.

We love this place. Always come with the family and the food is homely and delicious. The service is fast and friendly and we're always made to feel at home. Chicken matzoh ball soup is to die for and the giant schnitzels are the best we've ever had. Always have trouble leaving without trying one of their dessert crepes...YUM!

My partner and I took his father here for his birthday and had a great night. The food was beautiful, I can especially recommend the veal rissoles. An added bonus was the live music they have every Tuesday night.

Went in a group of 6 on a Saturday night. We had coupons and booked ahead a month and had no trouble getting the sat. night booking. Place was packed, noisy and chaotic but still got reasonable service. Food was good - it's rustic fare and that was expected. Host was affable, wait staff were helpful despite being crazy busy, so overall a good night!

My husband is Hungarian and loves the food here! The schnitzels are huge and I love the tasty hartabagyi which is a pancake filled with chicken mince served with a paprika cream sauce. They have $14 dinner meals on Tuesdays which is great value!

I was there, sitting at the table with a whole group of people. One of them I truly disliked and so of course THAT person ended up sitting next to me. But despite having someone I highly disliked right near me, I was highly enjoying my food. In fact, my food was so enjoyable that it somehow got me through the night. All night long instead of listening to the jabbering of the loudly annoying (and highly embarrassing) person sitting at the table with me, I sat there and focus on the wonderful taste of my food.

The dishes are truly authentic. My crumbed mushrooms were superb! and the sides of hungarian potatos and red cabbage where delicious... This is the sort of food I grew up with and its executed well.

Budapest has managed to combine an authentic Hungarian dining experience with the feel of a cosy local cafe. The menu is extensive, with an enormous range of different schnitzels, together with Hungarian favorites such as goulash, as well as less typically Eastern European fare, but all with a Hungarian spin. You can have your choice of side dishes-choices include chips and salad for those who want to stay within their comfort zone. Prices are generally moderate, but all evening on Thursday, and every other day during happy hour(if you are finished your meal by 6.30pm) they offer a fantastic $14 schnitzel or goulash special. The food is tasty and consistent, and the service very efficient and friendly.

The food is unbelievable. The stuffed schnitzels are great, but they are hard to order as the specials are always so inviting. Can be busy, well, usually is, so it can be hard to order another drink etc, but if planning ahead and BYO'ing it isnt too much trouble
