Having built with Burbank Homes I have to convey my absolute disappointment with their communication, services, ethical standards, quality of build, follow up after build is completed, asking for services to be provided (water & electric to within 6 mtrs of house site) and the charging you for a parallel service to be connected knowing (and using) the existing service.
My advise is to anyone thinking about building with Burbank Homes is don't. If you do get a good solicitor to check every piece of paperwork, make sure they put everything in writing & not verbally ask you for anything, get an independent building supervisor, get you own certifier to inspect every stage of the build. There are good builders out there I'm sure but Burbank Homes is not one of them.

UPDATE.

After hearing from Grace Nutter, State General Manager, Operations & Construction, the double up of charges on the services have now been credited & resolved. Due credit to Grace for looking into this case and not just brushing it off. Grace has also offered to speed up the 6 month warranty repairs in order to finalise all repairs not completed before handover.

Choosing Burbank was a big mistake. They will delay your process as much as possible with silly unacceptable excuses! If anyone would like to check on how behind Burbank is, just walk into a newly titled estate. You may see all other builders have started work and sometimes at the end of the construction, but the Burbank houses are only at the slab stage or not even there yet!

Worst Builder on the market!!!

Please do not choose Burbank, they will waste your time and keep asking tou money to proceed further but will not hand over your final plans and contract. First they will promise 12 month base price freezing and then will keep on wasting your time. At the end you will left with nothing, no builder no plans ready. You will end up paying $100,000 extra to other builder.

Think and be cautious.

If there was zero star I would give 0. Burbank traps customers by getting them sign a less proposal price and take 5000 dollars to start the process and then give them a totally different much higher price. I signed with them for custom building my home for a price of 330000. I paid them 5000 dollars but then they said price is gonna be 370000. I would never have gone to them for that price if given in the first place. Now they even do not want to return my money so that I can go to some other builder.. Beware of Burbank.

Terrible builders. -1/10. I built with this company which was the worse decision of my life, from day 1 having issues with this company. Every time we call them regarding any issues either it’s minor,will settle with passage of time. Drains getting blocked, leek in solar panels, floor boards popping out architraves coming loose, plaster sagging, roof leaking. Just keep calling and all these people says we will contact you soon. Today I came to know that they don’t wanna do anything as the house is out of warranty. Hang on guys building is only 5 years old.
All I can suggest is to reconsider your builder. Definitely not Burbank

Slab is tilted no one is taking calls or attending repairs.
BIG No from ourside
Shocking workmanship.
Doors and windows had issues which were never fixed or partially fixed.
Range hood having issues from day one and still has them.
It was a good start but shocking results

Nothing but poor disgrafeful workmanship from Burbank homes...the plumbing is attrocious broken and squashed stormwater pipes...costing me time and $$$$$ in repair i definately would not recommend them they have no idea what workmanship is and they dont care as long as they havd your money

From the outset, I was impressed by everything that Burbank had to offer. From the range of amazing designs, the consultant helped pick one that suited perfectly. The options for what to put inside the house were fantastic and offered us plenty of choice. Transparency was perfect throughout as I never felt misled or over promised. Everything was very well priced and felt looked after by the experienced operations team. All approvals and applications were done speedily meaning I was the first to start on site in the area by a country mile.

Once on site, progress was both quick and accurate. The only issue encountered was a someone kicking a side door in over the Christmas break when the site was locked up and another supervisor had a new door replacement on by Boxing Day while everyone was on holidays.

Very much looking forward to our move in date very soon, the home looks amazing and can't thank everyone enough. I can tell that Burbank takes great pride in their work and making sure all customers are looked after.

1. How well managed was your build?
ANS: No communication bottom up during pre-construction, colors advise was not thorough which cost us money. Overall just average

2. How was the workmanship and build quality of your property?
ANS: Again can't give more stars for this, since I am not getting what I paid for.

3. If you had any issues pre, post, or during construction, how satisfied are you with how the company handled them?
ANS:

1. Lots of pre-construction issues - mostly communication issues
2. Some issues occurred during construction -

- Wrong door installed,
- Chosen contrast bricks not available and had to choose another brick unwillingly,
- Butler pantry items missed out, had to choose from the options provided - don't appreciate this
- Building permit had to be reissued due to structural non compliance
- They tell you everything on compliance, text book scripts and how they operate, but don't tell you anything on hidden charges, if you make any changes!!! - not happy

3. Final product is yet to be delivered, so no comments yet!!!

In a summary, don't go with burbank if you believe in systematic and pragmatic building approach with integrity & transparency.

If you can spend bit more, I would recommend to go with Carlisle, Simmonds or Metricon to get what you agreed/paid for. It will be better to get info on quality and cost upfront than later. I don't recommend Burbank to any of my friends.
