The very best in dining lunch or dinner and the views are spectacular. Service always exceptional. One of favourites. Portions are small but the quality is what you expect with the pricing. Dessert platter is a must.

Had a wonderful experience at Cafe Sydney for partner's birthday dinner. We arrived about half an hour early and were seated in the bar area where we had some of the best cocktails in Sydney, in my opinion, along with a couple of small plates.

When seated for our meal, first thing I noticed was that it is very dim! However, this allows you to fully enjoy the gorgeous view of Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge.

My partner and I had three courses each, we enjoyed beautiful dishes such as the sirloin carpaccio and seared scallops for entree, the suckling pork belly and king salmon for mains, and passionfruit pavlova and coconut pannacotta for dessert! All dishes were served in a very timely manner.

Would definitely recommend Cafe Sydney for a special occasion or even just for cocktails and nibbles at the bar!

Cafe Sydney is simply an exquisite dining experience with views to match. The food is a tad expensive but definitely worth it. The seafood platter was loved by my friends and I loved the pork belly dish. The desserts were very delicious too.

A fantastic place to dine with a buzzing atmosphere. Always popular which is a good sign and has been running for many years - another good sign. Extensive menu, great to have a drink first on the comfy chairs. Great food selection and yummy meals - everyone loved it

One of the best restaurants I have been too. Initially had a work function here, and since I've been a return customer. The food is amazing, everything is so fresh and tastes beautiful, and the presentation makes you not want to mess the plate! The service is always great, and you just can't beat the view! Make sure you leave yourself room for the dessert tasting platter, and get there early and order yourself a mojito!

The ambience of this place is fantastic, as you sit overlooking the Quay and Sydney Harbour. Service was superlative. The cost of meals and drinks is not cheap, but for special occasions this is a great place to come. The flavours in the food were yummo!!! I highly recommend the seafood platter for two. Not sure how they cooked the prawns but they were scrumptious. And the swordfish steak was cooked to perfection. We also had a side of salad with tomato,
buffalo mozzarella, pesto, aged balsamic and extra virgin oil. Without exaggeration this is the best pesto I've had in long time. I think the serving could have been larger, because we were left wanting more. My only criticism of this place is the price of drinks - $15 a glass of wine - but nowadays this is almost to be expected of restaurants.

This is a great restaurant to experience Sydney. It's got great views of the habour bridge and opera house. The atmosphere is lovely and modern and the food is fantastic. A little more on the expensive end however it's a nice treat to spoilt yourself once in a while. They also have a great selection of wines and yummy cocktails!

Went here for a work Christmas dinner a couple of years ago. The first thing that hits you in the face is the amazing view you get of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. If you are lucky enough to get a seat near the window then you get to stare at this view all night, and at night it's even more spectacular. The food here is pricey but you'd have to expect that because of the location. Pricey but also some of the best food I've had and great selection. Another thing I noticed was the selection of beer and wine, it's huge! There isn't much they don't have here. I'd rate this place as somewhere you would take someone special on a very special occasion. Big thumbs up!

Wow is all I can say . After taking some interstate friends here we were very impressed. The showcase of Sydney, try and get a table next to the windows the view is worth it. Great selection of beer

First of all, 'cafe' is more of an allusion to modern style - this place is a fine dining establishment, not a 'cafe' per se.
This is one of the few fine dining establishments where you are not forced to eat a $180+ degustation menu of 8-10 mini courses. The a la carte menu allows for choice in terms of variety and quantity, and the quality of the dishes are first class.
Service is attentive, without being intrusive.
Against all this, is the beautiful view out to the harbour, from the restaurant's elevated vantage point on the 5th floor of the customs house.

We had our Christmas dinner here in November last year. It was a group of ten seated on the balcony. The view was spectacular - we watched the sun go down over the harbour. They had little knee rugs and patio heaters - I have to admit it was a bit cold and windy the night we went but it was still great. The food was amazing, great service and the detail in the environment with the bar, the bathrooms with hand cream and branded products just finished the experience.

The food and atmosphere of the place are both impressive and the prices are reasonable. It has a good, relaxed feel and it has great views of the harbour.

This is the perfect place to take visitors from out of town, as the view will blow them away. I like to have a cocktail in the gorgeous lounge area before a meal, and then book a table out on the terrace. It can get a bit crowded as that's where everyone wants to sit, but once you're seated you can relax and enjoy it.
The food is excellent and the cocktail list has a lot of interesting blends to try... such a great spot & very romantic.

Lovely experience all-round. Ambience warm, fun and friendly. Great for any occasion.... Fantastic views of Sydney Harbour. Dined many times... Will always go back. Many options for parking with public transport at your finger tips... Highly recommended!

It is quite expensive and hard to get into, but if you want to celebrate a special occasion, this is the place to do it. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Beautiful view and the outdoors area is amazing. The service was quite average- one of the staff was a bit grumpy and moody and since it was busy, my food wasn't the presentation I'd expect.

One of the most beautiful views in Sydney. Very nice atmosphere on the outdoor deck area. Service was good, however the food was very slow to arrive as it was so busy.

Cafe Sydney is an amazing restaurant, a very classy place with friendly service but expect to pay higher prices - though it is definitely worth it. I love to bring friends and guests here on special occasions as I can always guarantee the food will be perfect!

The view itself is amazing, where ever you sit you have a great view of the harbour. The food is outstanding and definately worth the higher prices. A real treat!
