This is a serene experience, the cruise was excellent as i dont get sea sick, the bar was great, even the bartender was making small talk with the customers. The dancefloor was a lot of fun and the cruise itself a success. I would definatly go on this cruise again, and so much so i did in sydney as well. both times were superb!

Captain cook cruises took us on our year 11 formal. They were fantastic! The journey the boat takes along the swan is gorgeous- beautiful atmosphere and the boat itself is hugeee!

Although last time I was there I couldnt drink, there was a well stocked bar (soft drink of course) and a dance floor at the front!

The staff were all lovely and very helpful, a friend of mine was a bit sick and they looked after her so well!

Definitely planning on going on another cruise soon, absolutely breathtaking scenery!

We went on a dinner cruise with Captain Cook Cruises. Was absolutely lovely. The food, the ambiance, the views were excellent. Was very romantic and even has a dance floor. Was lovely standing outside on the deck in the fresh air, watching the city lights as we gently went past on the Swan River. We went with a group, which I recommend as it's more fun. Can't wait to do it again.

I went on the one of the late evening cruises along the Swan River this year with a group of friends. The captain told us of all the places along the river that we passed as well as stopping so we can take a few photos. They had drinks and nibbles that we could purchase on board.

I went on a dinner cruise with Captain Cook, it was for a work function. The food was pretty nice, it was a buffet style with roast meats, seafoods, salads etc. It was actually better than I was expecting but if you were towards the end of the queue the selection looked a bit miserable...I guess that can be the case for any buffet. The staff were really nice, reasonable selection of drinks. They cleared up and you were able to use the dance floor which made for a great night, could also sit out the front in the fresh air to cool off as dancing inside got pretty hot, pretty quick. City lights were lovely whilst eating dinner. Cruise was just long enough (3 hours), any longer and I think we would have been eager to hop off

Approximate cost: $100

Took a captain cook cruise up to the Swan Valley Wineries. It's a very nice, quiet cruise with lots to see and plenty of wineries to stop off at to sample their produce. They are a little more pricey than Golden Sun and it's voice recorded instead of a real guide. But the boats are a little bigger and more luxurious I guess.

Despite the weather being wet and windy, the lunch cruise to Fremantle from Perth was very enjoyable. The commentary was great and the views along the Swan River are fantastic. To all the staff on board -Well Done! The lunch was wonderful and the cruise was good value. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Perth.

We took the Captain Cook lunchtime cruise to Fremantle on a very bleak wet and windy Perth day on the M.V. James Stirling which was a striking vessel, immaculately clean and spacious except when trying to sit at a table adorned with a cloth set for lunches. A very minor glitch. On the way to Fremantle the Captain who introduced himself as Wayne, gave a very informative, enjoyable and descriptive commentary of interesting aspects of the surrounding sights including detailed facts about the river, the vessel, other, vessels in the fleet and many other topical subjects. During the stop at Fremantle other members of the friendly crew, Kylie, Miles and Douglas prepared the lunch with James, the engineer also on hand. The lunch was superb and was washed down well with a few glasses of wine. On the return trip Wayne invited guests to view the driving cabin or bridge I suppose it is called on a bigger ship. Wayne, as I discovered is a very knowledgeable man regarding the river and surrounds and has been at the helm for twenty years. A truly commendable effort. I truly recommend any person visiting Perth to take this trip. Thoroughly enjoyable.

The City of Lights dinner cruise is really worth it. The buffet dinner is so much better than I expected, roast meats, seafood, drinks etc. The views are worth bottling. Take a jacket as it can get quite cool. The only downside is that tables are of 4 to 6 so it is possible that you could be sitting with strangers for your meal, it was fine for us because we are sociable but not the best for a romantic occassions. Sometimes they are cheaper if you book online so check their website before you pay full price through someone else

Approximate cost: $100

The scenic wine cruise is amazing. Very informative about natural environment as well as Past and Present Indigenous history. Loved it. Our skipper Wayne was one of the most knowledgeable people we had met. All staff were friendly and we even had entertainment on the way home. Meals at the wineries were too wonderful. A must for locals and tourists.

Approximate cost: $185
