This place is more like a factory than a proper swim school. The lanes are overcrowded and there is a lack of feedback and assessment on each child.

Carlile have made our experience worst by changing the interface of the app and deleting the section where parents can see their child's assessment checklist. Why would they not show a child's progress to their parents? There is little to no feedback on the progress of each child. Parents have to constantly ask the supervisor for an assessment. The supervisor does not provide feedback to instructor on how a child can improve but instead the child is left to improve on their own. As such there seems to be very little or no improvement in my child's swimming skills as there is no instructions to target my child's weaknesses.

We are leaving once we can find another swim school nearby. A few of the parents I know have already taken their children out of Carlile. The increase in fees and no improvement in service does not help and is a major deterrence.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We try to learn from all feedback and would love the opportunity to speak with you regarding your specific issues. If you have the time to speak with us please send an email or call the pool on 9980 7022 and ask to speak with our operations manager Nick. To clarify one thing, the App was given an up-date and the assessment checklists are still there if you click through on your child's name. If you are having difficulty with the APP please call us on 9538 7077. We do want to help your children improve and would love the opportunity to work with you to help that outcome.

I’m leaving with a child who now thinks she’s a hopeless swimmer. We went from loving swimming to not even wanting to attend. She’s been in the same group for a long time and has lost motivation. She Doesn’t understand what’s stopping her from progressing and it’s affecting her. She’s definitely lost her love of swimming. They dont care for the needs of individuals And no has noticed the regression in my child, the flat mood or tears that have started over the last month. She is 11! Most 11 year olds don’t go backwards. When I told them I was taking her out there was no questions asked as to why. They didn’t care really. I’m just disappointed that I’m leaving with a kid who now has no confidence in her swimming ability but who can swim. She loved swimming until a few months ago so hard

Pool can get a bit stuffy during summer, but really nice during cooler months, the teachers are well trained, and staff are friendly.

Children's swimming lessons are run here to a great formula. Your children are given lots of chance to progress and they offer lots of support. Your child will progress well with swimming at this school.
