This is a certified family oriented business, in which the neighbors are happy to accept the cattery due to the council's new rules and regulations. The cats have to be microchipped and sterilized. The Cat Motel owner is an older person who has her own cats in the cattery as well. It is located on 220 Nickelson Road, Langford and anyone with half a brain would know this road is always busy regardless. From the front, apart from the sign, it looks like a normal residence however, you're detoured around the back along a small paved entrance, where you come to one heavy screen door where the owner makes sure everyone is inside before letting you through the second screen door to the cattery itself. Once inside, you are met with a small desk with paperwork and the owner may be old as may the paperwork but she knows your cat and how much you need to pay. Of course, the cattery smells but this is normal due to the amount of felines occupying the place. The owner makes sure all the cats are feed and looked after and loves all of them. The litter boxes are cleaned and she calls all the cats, "Puss" (therefore they're being acknowledged and not ignored) and at the end of the day, the cats get care, love and food. Our cat is in there at the moment and he's in no better hands.

Terrible place! Use it at your cat's own peril :( This "cattery" is located in a residential area on a VERY busy main road. Upon trying to drop our cat off, we found several cats belonging to the owners wondering around the front yard. Uncollared, unsterilised, with terrible eye pus. They are also breeders of many (we saw about six at least, some allowed to go right up to the door of the cat boarding shed) stinky Bassett Hounds who bark very loud no doubt stressing the cat motel residents out. Smelly cat boarding area in the backyard, with a shoddy paperwork system (index cards written in pencil and re-used). Our cat's name or sex was never asked for; her cage was merely marked with a slip of paper saying "oursurname 1C" denoting one cat. At first attempt to drop off cat at agreed time in the morning, nobody was home and there was no legible mobile phone number given to call. We had to leave a note to call us back which the owner did several hours later in the afternoon. This of course delayed our holiday departure. When picking up our cat we were charged an extra night's fees as if our cat started being cared for in the morning when nobody was home. We would definitely not use this boarding facility again in the future due to the horrible location, sick cats roaming around, noisy dogs, general conditions of the place, and lack of personal service and care for our beloved cat. It's cheap ($10/night off season) for a very good reason but save yourself the stress during your holiday and find a better place to care for your darling felines!!
