I had the good luck to walk into a training salon one day when I was in desperate need of a haircut and instead of being worked on by a trainee (it was the holidays) Cesare cut my hair instead. Since then I have only had my hair cut by Cesare. It's very simple - he really knows how to cut hair! But more than that he understands your hair and your attitude. He got straightaway that I don't want a complicated routine to follow and that I just want to wash my hair inthe morning and go. My haircut lasts for 6 months too which I love. Cesare is also very accomodating and I can make appointments for after work.

I wanted a hair 'makeover' as a special treat for my birthday, so booked an appointment with Cesare. I had his full attention, since he works only on a one-to-one basis: very different from the usual 'production line' salon treatment. Cesare spent 3 hours analyzing and creating, working his magic. I felt confident from the beginning that he understood my hair and my needs, and I came out looking and feeling fantastic! I have received numerous compliments since then, and will definitely make this a regular appointment.

I have been going to Cesare for my haircut for over 20 years. I first connected with Cesare when he was the hairdresser at Harrolds in King Street and have stayed with him as he moved to different salons and then set up his own salon in the Manchester Unity Building.
In the early days I had a full head of dark hair but unfortunately now it is thinner than I would like.
Nevertheless, Cesare always manages to cut my hair in a way that freshens up my appearance and makes me feel rejuvinated.
His cuts hold their style which means I can set my appointments a month apart.
Not only do you get a great haircut from Cesare, you also get a terrific conversation. A good conversation starter is to ask him about his beautiful pair of Siberian Huskies!
I couldn't recommend Cesare highly enough. Make an appointment and you'll be in for a treat.

It's really hard to find a good hairdresser these days, so I'm REALLY glad that I found Cesare after reading a great review on WOMOW! I gave him a call to make a booking and I found him to be friendly and knowledgable even from our first conversation. I was finally excited about going to the hairdresser!

I've always been somewhat unhappy with the condition of my hair but after my first visit, Cesare worked his magic. He sat down and consulted with me about my hair and scalp health and I was surprised at how accurate his diagnosis was. It was like he knew me and my hair before he even met me! His medical knowledge and expertise is really top notch and I felt confident in allowing him to do what he felt was best.

Cesare doesn't beat around the bush. He is honest about what he thinks your hair care needs are and he helps you think long term, not just short term. He advised me on how to care for my hair after my appointment in order to improve my hair health. I have been following his instructions to the letter and have seen a great improvement. The shampoo and conditioner that he suggested for me have also been working wonders; the condition of my hair (normally frizzy, dry and unruly) has improved a lot in just three weeks since I went to see him. I also had an itchy, flaky section of scalp at the top front of my head which has almost completely cleared up without the use of any medicated hair products!

While I didn't get a colour, Cesare washed my hair with a strong clarifying shampoo which really helped reveal my hair's natural colour. Everyone commented on my hair, asking if I had had it coloured - but no! It was just my natural pigment, finally revealed!

In terms of cut, Cesare advised that I shouldn't do anything too dramatic until the condition of my hair improves. I completely agree with him, because I know from past experience that your hair looks great for the first day or so but then (unless you are willing to blow dry you hair every day - which I am not!) the style just doesn't sit right anymore. Cesare understood that I wanted a "wash and wear" style and that's exactly what he gave me. I'm really happy with it!

So, if you want a great hairdresser who does quality work at a great price, then I highly recommend to you Ceasar's Hands!

Hi Sonieee, Pleased to read of your experiences. As far as we are concerned, any hairdresser that listens (and competently achieves) your request is a good one. This sounds like a great business, one that we may indeed check out when next in the area. We were particularly pleased to note your TrustFactor, as you are (currently) the only one to rate this business with a decent TrustFactor. Regards, Reeces

I cannot recommend Chez from Ceasar's Hands enough. Chez has been my hairdresser for nearly 6 years now. I live on the Mornington Peninsula and drive to Melbourne CBD just to get Chez to do my hair. Sure it would be easier to go to one of the 1000's hairdressers on the Peninsula, but he does such an amazing job, and the price is really reasonable. I have highlights in my hair, which is thick and long. Prior to Chez after 4 weeks of highlights the roots started to show and by week 6-7 i absolutely needed to get my hair re-down, a costly and time consuming exercise. With Chez he is an absolute perfectionist and passionate about hair, using only top quality products and the way inwhich he styles and colours means i am only having my hair done every 3 months, which is fantastic. Actually you know Chez used to do Nicole Kidman's hair years ago when she lived in Sydney. Anyway, i can guarantee you that once Chez does your hair you just won't trust another hairdresser near it.

I have been going to see Cesare for my haircuts for the last 12 years. He has helped me with my scalp and the conditions of my hair. When I first went to see him, my hair has just been destroyed by another hairdresser - I had just had a perm and somehow the hairdresser got the chemicals wrong and my hair was breaking off at all different places!! It was a disaster! I then met Cesare through a friend and he has helped me getting my hair back in shape and I would not let anyone else touch it now! I get my haircuts once every 6 months and the cuts really last! I got my sisters onto him and now every time they come back to Melbourne (they live in Europe), a trip to see Cesare for a haircut is a must on the agenda! I would highly recommend Cesare if you want a haircut that suits you and a haircut that lasts!

I had my haircut 4 weeks ago and I waited for a while before writing this review just to wait and see how the hair look 4 weeks after the haircut. I am very happy that after 4 weeks, my hair sits right and the color blended with the my hair root/ the growth.

I received a thorough consultation about what haircut/ color suits my skin tone, head bone, etc. One of my ears is higher than another and his cut manages to hide my imperfection. My hair looked great, I don't feel like I am part of production line, it is unique and different from other people, it still looks amazing now – after 4 weeks, and it was exactly as how he described it before the hair cut and color.

The products he uses are really high quality. The color makes my hair looks thicker. The shampoo and conditioner fix my dry and frizzy hair. He let me try the hairspray and mousse, they are not the cheap things that make your hair too sticky or make your hair feel heavy. I want to buy it but he advised me that I don't need it because the cut will sit perfectly. Very honest hairdresser who will not keep pushing for you to buy products you don't need. He will only tell you to buy what you need. Very happy with the service and the fact that the result lasts longer than most hairdresser.
I will have my hair clarified next week to take the unwanted residue in my hair. By far, the best hairdressing experience I have ever had. Genius work of art. I can finally say I have found my hair “designer”.

Fantastic haircut. Love the color.
I had an extreme make over. From long hair to real short one, and it looks sexy. Highlights are just WOW, I get different color under different lighting, combination of both warm and cool color. So, I don't need to recolor my hair when the weather changes :)
Definitely recommend to have both haircut and color of the same time so that you can see best result.
Best of the best: the messier the hair is, the better it looks. Minimal time to style hair.

I had a lovely experience. He is not just a hairdresser. He is a tricologist and cosmetologist. He went and did his medical degree for hair, not just some TAFE or certificate III or whatsoever. My hair was cut according to my head bone and I don't feel like I have the same haircut with other people. He gave me free hair consultation and advice regarding my scalp health, etc. Price is about 60 something for men and about 80 something for women. If you are looking for a director's cut, it costs you about $120 in other salon. So I think it is less expensive compare to other director's cut. The color costs about $150-$180 I think. The best part about the haircut it, I don't need to style the hair when I blow dry it. All I need is just to flip my hair back when blow drying it. You get the quality, you get the service. I think this suits busy people who have limited time to style their hair. The best part is, I have to visit him only in 6-8 months. The cut lasts. I used to go to other hairdresser such as Seri, and i had to spend $55 every 3 months and the cut wasn't made for me. At least, I am happy that the cut was tailored for me.
Oh, by appointment only, have to booked for it because he did everything himself. From consultation, washing your hair, dry your hair, etc. It is one to one kind of service.

Hi Fein, I just read your review and I'm really interested in visiting this hairdresser! I am pretty busy myself and don't have time to visit hairdressers every 3 months/style my hair every day. I also have a lot of questions about my hair & scalp health and I'd love to consult with an expert. Do you know if they have a salon or if they are just a mobile service?
