Finally I've found someone who understands my hair that is naturally curly and blonde. Hairdressers have bleached and straightened my hair for years despite my desire to wear it more natural. Ceasar is teaching me what my real hair can be like! Such a different and enlightening experience.

Ceasar's Hands is like nothing I've experienced before. For one thing, I've never been the sole client in the salon! It really is difficult to call it just a 'hair salon', because you cannot compare the service you get here to regular hair salons. Yes, you have to be patient in waiting for an appointment - but that appointment is well worth the wait. A word to the wise: be open-minded and relax and you will have positively the best hair experience of your life. You are not 'just another bill in the till', this is a quality assessment of everything that makes your hair 'yours'. It was refreshing to be given realistic expectations and trust was built rather than assumed. This was especially important after a previous salon had left with a haircut so horrendous I cried. Nothing is rushed and more than anything, I really appreciated an honest, professional opinion of what would and wouldn't suit me and how to approach my specific hair type. I am a first time client and have no intention of ever going elsewhere. It is very easy to see how this well-kept secret has a grown such a loyal following. Genuine advice and fuss free cuts and styling for everyday people, delivered with bags and bags of care. I was hesitant when I first booked as it seemed a bit unconventional, but decided to go for it after reading all the glowing reviews. I am so glad I did! Just make sure you allow plenty of time - I was in there for about 3 hours, so take this into account when you book.

I'm fairly new to Melbourne so had been casting around for a hairdresser in my suburb. I've always been a "hair is just hair" kind of girl so had no problem booking in with somewhere that had a special offer for a cut and colour that I found on the internet. Big mistake. I was in pain after the colour, something which I have never experienced before. I didn't complain, which I probably should have done but after coming to Caesar's Hands I realise they burnt my scalp! And ruined my hair in the process (thankfully it was highlights so not all of it). Then in summer I was so sick of my thick and heavy hair I just wanted it gone so tried to book an appointment at Caesar's only to find it would take two months (!) to get one. I couldn't wait that long so I went to a place around the corner from home and came out with a haircut that looked ok while blowdried to an inch of its life but after washing - just awful. Ok ok this isn't a review of all the terrible haircuts I've had, but I'm using it as a way to describe the difference I experienced at Caeser's Hands. First of all, you are the only one in the salon, which I thought might feel a bit weird and intimate but quite the opposite. It does feel intimate, but in a way that allows you to talk about what might concern you without feeling as though half the world listening in. Secondly, I never really know what I want - a bob, lob, Rachel cut, whatever - I just want one that looks good and suits me. So it was a big difference to have a hairdresser really look at me, my face shape and features to see what needed to be played up and played down. I didn't have to make any suggestions - maybe this will suit you maybe it won't - but for me it was great to just relax and not be hounded with questions about what I want when in all honesty I really want a professional to tell me what would work and what wouldn't.

The cut I came out with was not that far from what I came in with (not much was taken off, it was more like fixing the hack job from before), just a lot better looking and with no need to use a hairdryer or straightener every day - exactly what I was looking for. It just sat right, looked as good as when it was first done after I washed it the first time, and whatever potions are used seemed to make my hair glow. Success.

I will be going back in a few weeks time (I left it a while to leave this review) to get another cut and a colour to try and fix up the mess that is still remaining from before. Other reviews here say the colour process is really good so I am looking forward to it. Overall, I'd like to keep this place secret but also want others to know that there is a little salon in the heart of the city that is worth every cent spent.

Having recently moved to Melbourne and having an awful experience at the first hairdresser I had visited, to say I was feeling anxious about getting my hair done is an understatement. For years my hair has been the bain of my life, its extremely thin & damaged. I have spent fortune trying to add volume with hair extensions only to make the condition of my hair worse. After hitting rock bottom I really was hoping for a miracle.
My hair was in such bad condition I was embarrassed and actually felt sorry for what Ceasar had to deal with, it was pretty bad. It was lifeless, dull and matting at the back where the extensions were glued in. I had no idea what to do or how to move forward with it, I needed a hair plan from an expert and Ceasar was the right man for the job. He kept telling me what not to worry and talked me through each step of the process.
He put a treatment in my hair and gave me a great cut. I really thought he was going to tell me that all my hair needed to be chopped, but that was not the case he showed me exactly what he was taking off as he cut it. He showed me how to blow dry my hair, gave me a technique of how to wash it and recommended products that are best for my hair type. Ceaser is extremely knowable, I have never experienced such a high level of service at a hairdressers; it really is a great feeling to be able to fully trust your hairdresser. I was hoping for a miracle and that’s what I got, my hair was shining, bouncy, looked thicker and was full of life. I was truly amazed and left feeling hopeful that one I may be brave enough not to wear hair extensions, and I am happy to say that I think this day will come soon, keep in mind I've been wearing extensions for 10 years now.
Ceasar and his wife Salv are really lovely people and I am so glad that I made that first appointment. I couldn't recommend Ceasar’s Hands highly enough, and can't wait to go back!

Caesar has been cutting my hair for a few years now. I have wavy hair and have struggled with styling it. When I first saw ceasar I had a young baby and half my hair had fallen out because of hormonal changes. Ceasar did a great job of explaining how to look after my hair. He also gave me a fab wash and wear cut that didn't require a lot of maintenance. Just what I needed. since then I have been a regular - my only regret is that it's very hard to get an appointment!

I arrived on time and followed the instructions provided on the website / via text to enter the building. My appointment ended up being 3 hours long, as the other clients' appointment ran over by an hour. I expected to commence my appointment at 7.30 pm. It did not commence until 8.30 pm. I ended up staying in the salon for 3 hours. I left after 10.30 pm on a weekday, and arriving home at 11 pm.

I had asked to restyle my hair including layers and light feathering, which I reiterated in emails prior to and at the session. I also requested a fringe. I was advised at the session that the 'thing' to do was to take off as little hair as possible. As my hair had not been cut in awhile I was happy for 1-2 inches to come off to achieve the look I wanted. This did not happen.

I did get a blunt cut and my ends trimmed a bit (there was a minimal amount of hair on the ground). The blunt cut/trim was not completed across all my hair. So there are 'wedges' or 'hefts' of hair that if I pick up still have the old feathering in it. The other 'wedges' / 'hefts' have the new blunt cut in it.

I also have virgin hair i.e no hair dye. I followed all the instructions provided to me about post hair care and use of hair products, which I brought from this business. Unfortunately, what ever products were used in the session made my hair fall out more rapidly than usual and the hair products I brought seemed to exacerbate it. I was also left with dry coarse hair. I was able to send photos (on the day of my haircut) and four days after the hair cut to this business outlining what had happened and requesting a refund. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a refund and the response I received from the business was also not as expected.

In terms of the experience - my stylist did spend a lot of the session talking to me and not necessarily about hair either. The topics included information about their private life and hobbies; as well as their other business (husky/dog breeding).

The images from the website are not the stylists' own work. I naively thought this was the case when I booked. The images are from the stock images that are available to purchase are from the main supplier of their products.

There is a lot more to say but I thought I would focus primarily on the haircut and experience itself.

85 for the hair cut. I brought three products at the cost of approx 25-30 each.

Apologies - the time is incorrect I was at the hair appointment for 3 hours - so 10.30 pm

Quite often, patrons come with requests, which are not achievable in the short run, especially at time first time of their visit, due to their current hair condition. In this instance, the client believes that she has a virginal hair since she has never colored her hair. However, she is a loyal user of a straightener. As a result, her hair is frizzy and thin. During the consultation, she has also expressed a concern that her hair was falling out. In one of her emails, quoting what she wrote about the condition of her hair as â??horror movie â?? THE RINGâ?. This is the reason why we had to carefully examine how much we could cut without risking the hair to look even thinner or frizzier.

The consultation process is designed so that we can educate the client about what suits her best. If the client is not reading off the same page about the plan designed for her, we gave the client the option to not proceed with the service. The actual time taken for both consultation and the service could take longer than our estimate if the client requires more explanation to understand what suits her best. In this instance, after the consultation the client was happy to proceed but later on, clearly, this client has a changed of mind.

On the day, we used products when washing and styling the clientâ??s hair. We demonstrated the application of these products without having the need to use a styling brush. This is something that has been mentioned by other reviewers. The client was happy with the result and purchased some products.

Days after, we received an email wanting a refund for the products because they did not work. In this review, she wrote â??what ever products were used in the session made my hair fall out more rapidly than usualâ?. As per our previous explanation this is a pre-existing condition she had.

The client requested a refund of the money on the basis that the products did not work despite following our instruction. On the email the client included what she believed was the â??preciseâ? instructions of what we advised her on application of the products. Through this, we learnt that she has not been following our instruction correctly.

Unfortunately, in this instance, the client did not leave a room to resolve her issues with application of the products. Instead, the clientâ??s sole objective was to seek for a refund, which is not possible due to hygiene issues.

â??Ceasarâ??s Hands is passionate about providing you with the best result which can be achieved only if you allow us to work with youâ?

I had my first visit to Ceasar's Hands the end of September and definitely enjoyed the appointment, particularly Ceasar's professional knowledge and his friendly and patient service. My new haircut has earned me a lot of positive comments. There hasn't been a dramatic change to my hair but the new layers have definitely made a difference.

I was expecting to walk into a regular hairdresser and was blown away by what I arrived at! Chez was my one-on-one hairdresser and it was a great experience! My hair now feels thicker and healthier and the colour Chez made up for me is great. I've been in between hairdressers for the last 12 months and now I'm so happy to have found Ceaser's Hands. I can't wait to see my hair after the next appointment and what Chez has in store for me in the future!
