Great tourist attraction in bendigo my grandfather worked here in the day though prices are expensive is well worth the visit

We had a blast at this gold mine! The tour was well worth the money and I would highly recommend doing it. Family ticket $78.50, adults $28.50, kids over 5 $15.

Our guide was Lynn & she was awesome! She called the kids "mini miners" and let them push buttons & do jobs for her. She was friendly, funny, informative & the kids (and adults) loved listening to her.

The kids loved getting on the miners hard hats, battery belts & head lamps. You go down the mine in a lift. The tour goes for about an hour & is easy walking, no steps, and it is wheelchair/pram accessible as it's all flat.

It was a very interesting tour & we'd do it again for sure! We loved seeing the drills & diggers working too, very loud!

Above ground there are things to do also, panning for gold, climbing up the poppet (tower/walkway) and museum.

The whole experience was fantastic & another must do in Bendigo.

Absolute MUST SEE for visitors to the area. It's quite a unique experience!

You can do a tour down into the mines, which we didn't because I'm chicken, lol, but we DID pan for gold (didn't get rich but had fun).

Great little gift shop too.

So much fun to be had. Gift shop selling all sorts of things along with nuggets. Great local history around the walls
Coffee shop as well. Underground tours down a mine shaft, try out a bit of mining for yourself.
Plenty of parking and hop onto a tram into town or to see the Joss house also passing by the lake.

This tourist attraction is one of the best.Whether you stay above ground and try your hand at gold prospecting using a pan or checking out the mining machinery. There are tours below ground too. Try your hand at drilling and check out the gold reefs The staff are wonderful. There are plenty of small gold nuggets and jewellery for sale. in the main shop. There is plenty of parking or you can hop on a tram and go into town !

I've taken a tour of the mine recently with a friend who was visiting from overseas. We went on a tour down into the mines that took approx 2 hours and required us to put on a hard hat with a flashlight attached to it, some overalls and special boots for climbing down the ladder and into the mine. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative and happily answered all of our questions. It was a very insightful experience with all the old equipment and machinery, and is highly recommended.

I recently brought a group of school students to the mine to have an undetground tour. All students loved their experience and had a fantastic day. They loved looking at the museum items and wearing the hardhats with a light. It was very useful when completing their Gold assignments.

If you love to visit Gold Mines then Central Deborah Gold Mine is a fantastic one to see. There are a variety of different tours you can do which include:-Mine Experience, Underground Adventure, Nine Levels of Darkness and A Surface Tour.

Come on an underground tour and wear a hard hat with a light attached to the front of it and you will be taken 61 metres below the surface of Bendigo. You will discover a different world. One from the past where you will be told about how the miners worked, what equipment they needed, how hard to was to survive without much air, how hard the conditions were etc.

Afterwards, explore the surface of the mine with its treasure trove of vintage mining machinery, gold panning and interpretive museum.

Hours of openning from 9:00am to 5:00pm every day except Christmas Day.
