The different hot chocolates are delicious - if a bit sickly! Definitely not something I want too often, but perfect on a miserable rainy day. Delicious cakes to choose from but the sugar overload from a hot chocolate and a slice is too much for me. One at a time
Delicious, decadent cakes and drinks. The warm chocolate mud cake was the best, but iced chokolait and mouse cake were also amazing!
The cake selection here is mouth-watering. The "World Famous" Chokolait Pavlova is their signature dessert and it is absolutely beautiful. The service is always warm and inviting and it's such fun to visit here.
Has an amazing display and selection of cakes. I tried the famous pavlova cake and it lives up to the hype, it tastes as good as it looks. The banana cake is also amazing and quite rich.
They have great hot chocolate here! I must say, on a cold winter day, it is the best to have a mug of their hot chocolate. If you're not a fan of sugar, you should try the Dark hot chocolate.
I think it is a best hot chocolate and probably the best in Melbourne CBD. This place has become my favourite place in Melbourne for a chocolate beverage. Service - i cant complain - very friendly service. Little pricey but worth it. :)
I am a chocoholic and proud of it, LOL. I love all the chocholate places in Melbourne but this place is one of my favorite. The Dark Hot Chocholate is like heaven. Not too sweet and has a nice slight bitter taste. It's so creamy and indulgent.
Craving one of those hot chocolates right now. Thanks for sharing!
Had the chocolate pavlova.......amazing.
Service was good, a must if you are having a lazy day in the city
Approximate cost: $15
I love this place. I go here at least once a week. My children enjoy it as well. there customer service is fantastic and i can not rate them highly enough
Want one of these places in Brisbane. Thanks for sharing!
I went at 5pm on a Wednesday evening at it was packed! They were so busy, it took over 30 minutes for our hot chocolates to arrive at our table. However it was worth the wait, I have never tasted hot chocolate like it. I couldn't finish mine it was so rich and such a generous glass.
Approximate cost: $6.50
Its impossible not to like this place! Possibly the nicest chocolate that I've eaten here, the hot chocolate is devine.....
Wow, that sounds great, I'm going to have to check them out!, thanks.
This is my little drop in centre, my place I go to unwind and refresh after a busy day going through the shops and spending. This place lacks real atmosphere, but they make it up in a brilliant menu of Chocolate treats. The drinks come in a choice of dark chocolate or milk chocolate and white I have tried them all and they are all great. There is a whole host of other exciting fare to choose from like chocolate pavlova, fresh strawberries and iced chocolate.
This place is a chocolate lovers heaven and it's all absolutely delicious, and better than Max dare I say. Enjoy!Â
Approximate cost: $25.00
Would love to go there!
So funny "Drop in Centre", Good review. I always drop in here when in Melbourne. Briiliant!
Chokolait is Divine!
If I had to describe this place in one word, it would be YUMMY. I have to stop myself from going in there every day to get the chilli hot chocolate. It is thick with just a hint of heat, and so delicious. The owner obviously loves his chocolate and the quality of the product reflects this. The staff are very friendly and service is usually very quick.
I keep thinking about the Iced Chocolate I had two weeks ago... and when I can get into the city to have another! Delicious is an understatement. The prices are high but reflect the quality. I suppose you get what you pay for with chocolate. The shop is up a quiet arcade and while only a few tables and couches, the feel is good. Worth splurging every so often.
I love their chocolates. They have a wide range of chocolates. Everytime I visit, I get a hot chocolate 50% milk chocolate and 50% dark chocolate. I get a large cup to go! It is fantastic. It truly satisfies you!
This man loves his chocolate and it comes across in the quality of his product. We've been to the big names around Melbourne but keep coming back to Chokolait. If you have already been to the other specialist chocolate shops around Melbourne CBD give Chokolait a try. They are a small shop in the Hub Arcade but big on quality. You won't be disappointed.
Approximate cost: $7.50
I love going to this place - it provides a great chocolate experience because it uses ingredients of a high quality, focuses on variety in taste and choice of chocolate delights, and the owners are obviously passionate about their business, which is an important ingredient! My all time favourite is the dark hot chocolate - velvety, smooth and rich, perfect for cold winter days. Just as enjoyable is their good coffee with a choice of one, two or three... chocolates cleverly moulded into interesting shapes with flavours to please any palate. I am a chokoholic who has definitely found its hub!
We were given a Red Balloon experience for our wedding anniversary to Chokolait. Talk about great! We had iced chocolate, chocolate fondue with strawberries and marshmallows and chocolate mousse that has now spoilt my husband for any other. Owners were very friendly and when we were finished rolled out the door!
This is a lovely little shop hidden away in an arcade. I recently stopped by and ordered a Belgian Ice Chocolate and some chocolates on the side....Both were very rich but totally delicious! Much better then Koko Black! And the service was great too!
Chanced upon Chokolait by accident on a cold, windy, rainy day and this little shop is pure bliss. The Belgian Hot Chocolate warmed both the body and the soul and the chocolates are to die for. I'll be back the next time I'm in Melb!
Approximate cost: $5.50
My wife and I enjoyed a chocolate fondue here during our time in Melbourne and found it really nice. Quality was very good, quantity was good, service was excellent. Atmosphere was ok. Excellent range of products available, all so tempting. Well worth a visit.
I always have the hot belgian chocolate. This is by far the best belgian chocolate in town, definitely won the race from koko black, max breaner or other chocolate place
Ordered the Belgian hot chocolate which was a little too rich for my liking but better than most hot chocolates. The place itself is a nice little area where you can relax, chat and chill out with your mates.
Chokolait has become a regular refuge during my working day. I indulge in my favourite: Chocolate Shot in Belgian Milk ($5.50) It's the place to go if you want to avoid quick fix, junky chocolate, and invest in satsifying, smoothness of quality chocolate. The service is outstanding and consistent. If chocolate overindulgence occurs, there is a selection of teas to enjoy.
Approximate cost: $5.50
This is one of those tiny little places buried in an out of the way arcade that you could easily miss. But once you find it, you'll go back. They have an incredible range of chocolates, each of them so rich you get a sugar rush just looking at it!
