I take my kids here for a swim when the weather is warm. There are 2 kiddie pools (one is very shallow for toddlers and the other one is about a metre deep with water features and slides) as well as a standard swimming pool. Entry for under 4 is free, and it costs about $20 for a whole family to go. There is a snack bar here too, but the prices for that are quite high. I am very happy going here and the only complaint that I have is the fact that there could be more shade.

Clem Jones Swimming Pool is a great local pool. My kids use this pool for their swimming lessons through the school as the school does not have it's own pool at the moment.
We love going there as a family for the occassional swim (we have a pool at home, but often will meet up with friends at Clem Jones.)
My kids love the slides and because it is close to school, there are always a bunch of school friends there (even if we haven't planned to meet up with anyone).
There are lovely lunch areas and a little kiosk for iceblock treats after a swim. Always a fun day out!!!!
There is a gym attached to the centre, but we have never used it.

Approximate cost: $10

Taking the kids to the Clem Jones Centre is a fantastic way to spend a warm afternoon. Open to the public at all times is a heated 50 metre Olympic pool and a children's wading pool. The wading pool has a great child sized slide which is always very popular with the children. The wading pool isn't heated though, but that doesn't seem to dissuade the kids at all. There are plenty of shaded areas and tables for families. A nice sized lawn affords the opportunity for a bit of a run around and the well stocked, and reasonably priced, canteen keeps the hunger away. The hot chips with tomato sauce take me back to my childhood days spent at the local Olympic Pool.

The Clem Jones Centre also has a 12 metre outdoor pool, which appears to be used primarily for training, together with a near new indoor 25 metre pool. This facility is not generally open to the public, but used for hydrotherapy and learn to swim classes. There's also a gym at the centre, although I've never used it. The staff are friendly and always happy to loan out (free of charge) googles and kicking boards.

Approximate cost: $5.00

I have been a member for 3 years and love their gym and classes. They do boxing, yoga, circuit etc and the team is so friendly. There is no pretentiousness here. All ages, shapes and sizes. The pool is fantastic and a great place to take the family. It is a really community oriented business.
