I had a cut at Cream last week with Steven. It was my first time at the salon and was a very enjoyable experience! I felt that he really took the time to work with me to figure out the best cut for my hair, and then he spent about 30 minutes on the cut itself which I was really happy with. He's fun to have a chat with too. Finally, I have to say that the coffee is pretty darned good for a salon :) I'll be back. Thanks! p.s. as to the reviewer who felt pressured to buy products, I definitely didn't have that experience.

I had two haircuts by two different stylists at this salon and will not be going back. The last cut was one of the worst I have ever had in my life. I have very difficult, coarse, curly hair and it was cut into a style that was just never going to work for my hair type. I spent the next 2 weeks searching for someone who could redeem something from the severe undercut and frizzy mess I was left with. As a consequence I have ended up with much shorter hair than I would normally like (but have in that process I have found a hairdresser I will return to forever). The colour I was given did not suit my skin tone and made me look sallow. The staff are pleasant, the salon is nicely set out but there is no waiting area in which to sit. I also felt very pressured to buy products which I told the stylist I had used in the past and that had not suited my hair.

I love that it's always easy to get an appointment and they always seem to run to time. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. I am happy with the cuts and colors too.

I had a fantastic haircut by Kate at Cream in Fitzroy. She was great with suggesting styles that would work for me, and the staff weren't pushy at all about products. I had a haircut and treatment, which came to $105 overall. I am very happy with their service!

Have been a client of Cream since moving to Melbourne 2 years ago. They are friendly and although may seem intimidating to some, after talking with any of the staff for a few seconds you realise how down to earth they really are. They listen to your requests and cut, colour and/or style your hair exactly how you want it. They are all perfectionists, and can sometimes take a bit longer to get your hair looking 120%. I love them, and continue to go there even though I have moved 40 minutes away. Highly recommended!!

Felt a little out of place, quite intimidated. There wasn't anywhere to sit to fill out forms, and it was quite hard to move around without bumping into someone else.

I changed hairdresser about a year ago. I am so impressed with these guys. They actually give you EXACTLY what you ask for!! I get a half head of foils and a style cut and have never been disappointed. They always make sure I am happy. A glass of wine or coffee is always offered which is nice.
