I'm a little confused with the whole 'Crown' Hotel thing so not sure if I'm even writing this review for the right Hotel...anyway... we stayed at what I believe to be called the Crown Metropol and it was pretty good. The negatives, the view was nothing to write home about however the closest building was about 50mtrs away so no closed-in feeling. The bathroom/shower/toilet area was laidd out a tad weird. The positives, the fixtures and fittings were top class and very modern, room was very clean and roomy, the location and service was excellent.

most expensive room i had to pay for in melbourne! but man even though we only stayed for a night on their cheapest room it was great! the pillows were the softest things in the planet, the staff in reception were quite friendly

we also ordered room service and the food was okay, the prices were above average but i guess nothing beats a meal in bed

Stayed a night here last week with my partner in the premier suite. Fantastic view, lovely room and breakfast was very nice.
We used our entertainment card so got a great deal on the room.
Will definitely go again.

Approximate cost: $500

One of the best hotels i have stayed at! Great view, central to melbourne CBD, great atmosphere, and awesome services! The bathrooms are very spacious! Great place to relax and have a good nights rest!

While Crown is one of the most expensive hotels in Melbourne it is also one of the best. Stunning views, beautiful rooms and proximity to plenty of restaurants and shops makes this a great place to stay. I've stayed here a few times and their beds are probably the best I've slept in and the pillows are amazing.
The bathrooms are very opulent and with most rooms you can watch tv in the bath!! If you are staying here I'd recommend you bring your bathers as the hotel pool is quite breathtaking. Some room rates include buffet breakfast at the Conservatory and if you can afford it definitely do it. Fantastic choice of foods, all cooked daily. I always feel fancy staying at Crown as their service is fantastic.

An awesome Hotel with all the mod cons available. The pool is the biggest indoor pool I have seen in a Hotel, also equipped with a full gym for all the fitness freaks. I know its a strange thing to recall as the best experience of my stay, but the pillows in the room are the best ever pillows! I even tried to buy one but it was over $200...I wish the rooms were a little less expensive.

I often think one of the most important things about staying away from home is having a good pillow, so I totally get what you mean!

babenreviewer 10 May 2014

i agree the pillows were the best and softest ever!

We stayed here for a few nights just after our wedding. The service was great. The room was spacious and was a great place to relax and unwind... also great to go and have a flutter at the casino as it was so close and just a walk away. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned everyday. Although it is a bit pricey it well worth every cent.

it's so good how the casino's just downstairs!

There's nothing like the experience of luxury in a beautiful hotel where the details matter. We stayed at Crown Towers in an Executive Room and were thoroughly spoiled. The Concierge arranged champagne and chocolate to be delivered to our room which was a beautiful touch.

Bed turn-down was at 5.30pm; can't get into a bed that hasn't been turned down ;). Loved the pillow chocolates!

There is a large TV in the 'living area', another in the bedroom and a smaller flat screen embedded in the wall so you can watch it while sitting in the bath!

The room also has a Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother, a day bed, lovely office area and remote control curtains and blinds.

The foyer of the hotel is simply magnificent and at the moment is decorated with absolutely gorgeous Christmas baubles of all sizes (think as big as cars!).

Crown Towers is truly an experience. Try it at least once if you're in Melbourne.

sheer luxury, our room was very comfortable and luxurious, we had a spa bath and double shower with complimentary toiletries

we had lovely views of the yarra river and city from our 19th floor room

sure its very expensive, but worth every cent paid, its something very special to enjoy

room service breakfast was delicious and plentiful, although priced at about $80 for two guests

if you have an entertainment card, you may be entitled to a discount off the room rate.

Saw them on the internet but hesitated at the prices, after reading your review will have another look. Thank you!

babenreviewer 30 Apr 2014

would you know how big a discount it would be with the entertainment card?
