Curtis fresh Skipton street is great, there is always plenty of stock and staff are lovely, you do need to remember to get cash out before you go though.
I tried wendouree Curtis today, lovely Indian lady very helpful, even explained what okra is to my daughter who asked (as I did not know). A man also very courteous, restocking fruit and veggies.
Today I purchased a little over $80 worth of produce, which takes a while to put through the till (a little bit more than what fits into a trolley).
Then what appeared to be a manager came out and was really rude to the lovely lady serving me, that she had taken too long as there was now a line, when I asked to pay half card half cash the manager was then quite rude 'you should go to the bank' (which I could have done except hadn't because it is raining and I have two small children who were with me) and then told the woman off for swapping it for notes that she was holding up the other couple of people.
That woman is the very reason poor service is acknowledged more than it should be.
What I thought was a simple request, she could have politely asked me to come back in 5 minutes so they could serve the few people waiting but instead had to be unnecessarily rude to her staff member (and in front of customers!) and rude to me.
A big thumbs up to Curtis fresh and your floor staff but unfortunately your manager lady could use some HR training.
All in all an excellent review tarnished by one horrid staff member with an attitude problem. Sorry Curtis.

I shop here and the new store on Howitt street and I love that you can buy a whole box of what you want. The staff aren't very helpful but the prices are great and you can choose plastic bags or a fruit box to carry your produce home in. They have great specials and are always good value for money.

Curtis Fresh is so so good. I can walk out with a full (sometimes two) bag of fruit and veg for under $20. You feel like your supporting the auzzie farmers and if you can deal with the occasion imperfect pience of fruit the you gotta to get to this place. Change your shopping habbits it worth it. Actually don't because there are no long ques yet :D

Approximate cost: $15

I Googled for affordable Fruit and Veg around the Ballarat area and this is by far the cheapest. The produce is of satisfactory quality and the prices are very good. The staff was friendly and I will most certainly return. Make sure you do take cash as there is no eftpos but the prices make up for that lacking.

If its a budget you are on, this seems to be the cheapest place in town. the quality can be too lacking to even purchase at times. the oranges always smell like mould but I love the prices and often the product is pretty darn good considering those prices. The staff are forever changing which leaves one wondering.

Curtis fresh is good. I used to shop here constantly!
The prices are cheap but the quality is a big hit and miss at times. All in all, its a good fruit&veg shop.
Only real complaint, it's cash only which is a nuisance for some.

Whilst the prices are cheap the quality is hit and miss. Most of the time the fruit I buy here doesn't get eaten so it ends up in the bin. Also cash only which is a nuisance.

Great prices here. Things are unbelievably cheap. You do need to sort through the fruit tho to get the ones in best condition. But for the price you cant go wrong. Saves me a fortune in Summer on seasonal fruits.

Curtis Fresh have some great specials and are well worth a look. Sometimes the quality is not so good, but overall a great place to shop for fruit and veg.
