My husband and I bought a small unit which needed the very small damp old kitchen and carpeting replaced. I had in mind what I wanted but it required designing the kitchen, removing the kitchen, knocking out walls, removing an old air-conditioner, updating the plumbing, installing electrical outlets, coordination with flooring company, coordinating tradesmen and final installation of kitchen, new appliances with adding wood flooring.

I was really unsure about the process as I never had any renovations done. The unit needed much work but not being handy, I knew I had to hire a place to do it within my budget and do the entire project. So I went on Womo and found Damco Kitchens, went to their showroom, looked at other companies then came back. I then hired Damco Kitchens.

I found that the initial design was wonderful, the materials were fantastic with little details added to suit our needs. I really like how the kitchen was presented 3D and the way they looked after my needs by assisting with changes to make my kitchen supreme.

I had a lot of drawers installed for easy access to things so we did not have to bend down to search for things like in our previous place. We also got soft closing cabinetry which made a huge difference keeping the noise down in an open place living and dining area. We bought our Kleenmaid appliances from Damco at a discounted rate which are of such high quality. The dishwasher runs so quietly which is needed in an open plan space. You barely hear it running when watching tv or chatting.

The quality of the workmanship on the kitchen is high. They even extended my wall so my breakfast bar was incorporated in the kitchen and the sink area widened (my original idea was to have the breakfast bar stick out with a round edge). I now have a nice comfortable living space and kitchen with a breakfast bar with nearby outlet to plug in my laptop have my morning coffee and relax.

The tradesmen were friendly and respectful, secure access was given to them but they also respected your wishes and often would contact you to tell you when someone was coming. I felt free to communicate to the project manager through text, email or mobile. He is also a builder so could explain what was going on if I had concerns.

I did not think about a terrible display case in the living area that matched the old kitchen. I asked last minute if it could be replaced by another cupboard as storage is limited in our little unit. Damco's project manager costed it, custom designed pulled out the old cupboard, built and installed the cupboard within 2 weeks of completion of the kitchen. It blends brilliantly with the rest of the kitchen / living area.

There were a few minor hiccups which caused a minor delay but the kitchen was in full working order by our move in date which was wonderful.

Overall I think the work and the kitchen is fantastic and would recommend Damco Kitchens to others. It is nice, neat, modern, user friendly, spacious and efficient which suits my Virgo nature :-). The colours I chose and was never pushed for a particular style.

The reason I choose to sign a contract with Damco kitchens was because they could supply the materials required for my dream kitchen. The cupboard doors were custom made to compliment the unique splash back. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble.
I found the staff, from designer Nick, project manager Szabi and his team of tradesmen very obliging and easy to communicate with regarding the kitchen. Tradesman always arrived when required and were very professional and took pride in their work. Some of the tradesmen worked well beyond their normal hours to ensure that work was completed ready for the next stage of construction.
Messages were always passed on, or phone calls returned regarding any concerns.
The original kitchen was 40 years old and falling apart, but now I have a kitchen which both Damco and myself can look at with pride of our combined achievement.

You have been so accommodating and have pushed yourselves the entire way to meet our budget and requirements. We are truly appreciative of this. Your expert advice in colour selection/materials was invaluable given we renovated an established home. The kitchen looks amazing- we're getting so many compliments! It's such a delight to use too. A huge thank you to Szabi for meticulously managing this project and ensuring all the work was completed in time. Having someone like Szabi manage our project just made our lives so much easier! We did the usual running around other companies getting quotes and designs only to be told that I couldn't have this or I couldn't do that as the space was very small, but you Nick made it ALL happen. I now have a very modern practical very workable kitchen that every one that has seen it cannot stop talking about the transformation. From start to finish it has been a pleasure. All the tradies were terrific , efficient and completed their tasks on time. We had one little hiccup, I called Nick and he was on my doorstep within hours and the problem solved. We have been saving and planning for our kitchen renovation since we bought the house 3 years back, and we got lots of quotes as it was a very important decision for us. A friend of mine referred us to Damco Kitchens as she was very impressed with how they did her kitchen.

We called Damco kitchens and they offered a free design consultation at our place, and it all started. The designer was very professional and helpful and listened to our requirements and gave very practical advice. He did a 3D design & a very professional itemised quote just in an hour, and we were enthralled with what he showed us.

The price was a little higher then what we got from others but the designer assured us that a lot of his clients say that at the start but they end up being very happy, and my friend experienced the exact same thing. We made the decision to go with them.

Right from the word go, they explained us exactly how things will go during the renovation and we got live access to their project management software. It has been a fantastic journey. What I liked best about them was the fact they were very proactive and gave me a very clear understanding on the process.

They finished the whole kitchen in 6 weeks as they promised and now we have our beautiful new kitchen…….Everything just works perfectly fine the design tips were great as we now have a very functional kitchen……

I strongly recommend you take a quote from them if you are planning to renovate and what they said is true, every dollar paid to them is worth it…wwowowowhhhhhoooo. I love my new kitchen….It's a dream come true.

After conducting a lot of research in this area we selected Damcokitchens to do our Kitchen job. Though they were not the lowest in price, we were delighted with their quality and speed with which they completed the kitchen. We had to live in the house through the renovations so it was absolutely essential that the job was done tidy, on time and on budget.. I would like to say our experience with Damco has been fantastic to say the least. We were looking for a company that would take on the job of installing a small but functional kitchen in our office and Damco was able to provide professional advice and excellent tradespeople to complete the project.
