Nice salon, good location. The stylist who did my hair was very good. I could tell he was very experienced and knew what would suit me. The salon staff were friendly and professional and I had a nice head massage from bill. My new cut and colour. I went into see Phillip Michael’s with drab light brown hair and left with lovely golden blonde hair. Everyone says how much it suits me and I’m loving the new look. I only wanted a trim and I’m happy Phillip Michael’s listened and did not cut too much off. The salon is nice and friendly. Good service from the moment I walked in. both Phillip and his son bill was really genuine and fun to talk to. The prices are expensive but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. Have been recommending to everyone since!

LET me share what I read about Phillip Michael's
Mr Michael won hairdresser of the year in new England in 1990/1992/1994
his son won in 1996/97/99
he had wella support him in England MA Boston in2001 as he took on a charity gig with 600 stylists and over 3 weeks he and the team of hairdresser raised 7.2 million for the cancer research team new England Children voice box charity also the Ruben and McDonald charity. I have watched him closely as a hairdresser and he leaves me open mouthed as he works magic with his fingers, I hope 1 day to achieve the level or the understanding that his man has, he is a master hairdresser. Mr Michael was charismatic and charming, with impeccable manners, spiritual although not without ego (!) and looked like a sexy rock star in his tight pants, winkle pickers, long hair. This heartthrob hairdresser functioned from the heart and vowed to treat his ladies like roses. No matter how famous his client was, whether a housewife or how old, he did, looking into the mirror all the time, to make sure their hair suited them from every angle, often flirting as only he could and offering his last lady of the day a glass of a good champagne, in a great champagne flute, from the collection he kept with his shampoos and in his staff room ‘fridge.
I found this story wonderful Mr Michaels was a real artist, truly. Watching him cut or engage his staff and clients/friends, he really was a visionary. Perfectly un-perfect. one of the great thoughts/moments I took away from him was that hair was a never ending art project

my comments
My name is Shelia I am from India, I meet Phillip in the salon on Phillip street where I was booked in for a cut and blow-dry
now I am a shy person with long hair that is very damaged.
Phillip greeted me and his son brought me a pot of the most wonderful tea, and side goodies of biscuits now I was sitting down and told to drink my tea, normally you are rest to the basin to get your hair washed before you meet the hairdresser here it is tea 1st. Phillip came and sat down with me, he smiled and said there isn't anything you need to worry about just drink your tea and relax, I will cut your hair dry so you can see I am not cutting a lot off. Phillip started to cut my hair dry it was magic watching him in the mirror lifting feeling cutting the hair was taken in so many direction I got giddy trying to watch

end result he is a wizard and a gentleman you should all go and see him

I so admired Mr Michael's for how he treated people. Whether you were a celebrity or an ordinary housewife, you were always a star in his eyes. His dry cutting concept of hairdressing will change the hairdressing industry gere un Australia as it did in new England His work is and always will be mesmerizing. It’s timeless. There is no other Hair dresser that I have meet like him. He stands alone as one of the top 150 Hairdressers in the world. If you are fortunate to have the experienced Phillip Michael's sculpture free style hair cutting ,you have a true understanding of movement ,flow , softness , hair that will respond to you, hair that will dance with you, and you can also make it bark and attack , this is the artistic side of sculpture cutting.
to me he is the only hairdresser who craves in making his clients full in love with there hair, and trust me test him out for his ability to make your hair scream colour with his YING YANG it is true magic of colours coming alive

I received Ying Yang +cut and blowdry by Phillip Michael's, and was completely blown away by the results. I squealed with delight for a good five minutes at the end - lucky it went late and it was just me and him in there, maybe unlucky for him)
Not only is Phillip Michael's an excellent Hairdresser he is super friendly and patient - his son bill is delicious and I love the way they openly chat about what colours they should use, and you are involved in the colour stage and why colours will suits you or not. they both treated my numerous annoying questions (whatever it's confusing) like true professionals. I had a great time - refer to earlier squealing comment - and would recommend anyone city-side head to this salon. It's the real eye opener AMAZING. I love every thing this salon stands for it isn't to pricey, there's never been a time I have left the salon dissatisfied with my hair cut and/or colour.

the Salon is located on Phillip street and it is called PHILLIP MICHAEL'S OF MAYFAIR, and functions on TWO levels; street level wonderful handmade jewellery at $100 a bargain I found myself opening my purse as I brought 2 pieces for a lay away Christmas gifts for my 3 girls. , first floor is the main arena for hair wonderful discussions, on hair cuts and washes was invited up while phillip Michael's was finishing off a dry cut, he included me in what he was doing and why, I have never seen a cut cut so wild it was a masterpiece and I enjoyed it,

they are passionate about all things hair and conduct pre appointment consultations to discuss what kind of style your wanting and/or colour. This is incredibly helpful and one of the pleasures that does come with a pricey cut! You can also order a cheeky coffee or two during your visit to the salon :~)

My treatment started off with an in-depth consultation followed by an initial lesion from bill & Phillip on the colour wheel, and what depth my hair could or couldn't go.

everything was fully explained step by step from the amazing YING YANG all done by hand, to the wonderful hair cut,
let me start
when I sat down I choose the YING TYANG as I hate having a regrowth and this method stated no regrowth, I was I wanted this, as stated everything was explained, Phillip is a master hairdresser, however I became scared he stated cutting my hair dry, what was he doing I know I told him I wanted something different something that would suite me but he hasn't coloured my hair yet, I looked at him and his son saw my look and came over and said dad cuts dry before doing a colour as if you cut after colouring your cutting the colour out

Phillip finished cutting then I was amazed 4 colour bowls with colour was placed on a tray by bill and Phillip started section here 1 colour there another colour I couldn't keep up with what he was doing 30 minutes later washed out, he then fingered dry me omg o,m,g it it was wooooo the colours every section was different the cut I messed it up it fell in place phillip i.l.u

I read the reviews and wanted to experience the work for myself. I set up an appointment for a consultation and was greeted by the owner Dr Phillip Michael’s.
He took his time to explain the variety of options but most importantly asked me what" I wanted... how I usually wear my hair and what my expectations are.
My hair is a little above my shoulders In unwanted layers due to over processing, so I didn't expect a miracle...
But he exceeded my expectations Phillip and his son are both exceptional.
This is a full service salon where everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.
Everyone continually checks on you to make sure you are comfortable and to make sure everything is going well throughout the process including the owner. Phillip never booked anyone around me my time was my time
I received a pot of wonderful tea and goodies of snacks
They saved my hair! I had a botched dye job and my hair was about 10 different colours and fried cause of the bleach. They were able to use toner to save the hair colour without completely destroying my hair
The colours Phillip did called a YING YANG and WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD, IT WAS ALL HAND DONE
He fully explained about foils and why my hair was frizzled in parts and told me this method wouldn’t hurt my over chemical hair in fact it will make it feel better, I though yer, yer whatever
I was wrong after the colour was washed and dried it looked so healthy and felt wonderful
The BEST experience I've ever had at a hair salon, they go above and beyond. THANK YOU to everyone, I am sooo happy, the results are AMAZING!! !! Overall great experience...highly recommend

this salon is one of the best that I have come across
it's a father & son business and when you step into the salon, a lovely dog called summer comes and greet you, and takes you up stairs to the salon level, once you are shown your chair, in front of you is the most wonderful pot of tea, with fun snacks, Phillip sits down and chats about your hair, the good and bad points and he shows you the last cut and explains if it was good or bad and he visually shows you where they cut it right or wrong. Then he starts cutting your hair dry, as he states we first get the shape while its dry then we get the style after we wash I paid $105 and it was worth every cent as it is the best cut ever, New clients reading this Phillip Michael's gets booked up very quickly 3 to 5 weeks in advanced, So he always likes to book clients in on a Wednesday or Friday he opens at 5am in the morning as clients get free parking till 8am and the last appointment is 2pm

if you want to feel good go to him $100 is nothing as you get a haircut that people will chat to you about, read his webpage too Phillip Michael's of Mayfair

Phillip Michael's owner of Daniel Lee has changed Daniel lee to his own name, I say this as I couldn't find Daniel lee, I called the phone number and couldn't help lol I was standing out side it.

I went it, it looks very posh and very clean, down stair was wow wow with hairdressing products and I was welcomed in by a cute doggie named summer, oh I love her, I got kisses and a cuddle, a gentle about 20 yr of age called me up the stairs summer followed me and sat on the floor next to the units where I sat. An older man approached he said to bill to make me a cuppa bill moaned and I gathered it was his dad and then he went off Phillip looked at my hair. and gave me the full run down of what is good and bad about my hair

I was brought a wonderful pot of tea that was yummy and a side plate of fun snacks, I must say the father and son do work as a team. and you can see they are genuine interest in making my hair look great. They share style tips unique to my hair, and base colour that would suit me. The hours are incredibly convenient for me. they start at 5am in the morning which allows me to have my foils and cut all free of the meters as 5am to 7.55am its free parking and I always get to park out the salon, I love it that They respect my time, and as a professional in the television industry, that is refreshing and welcome. As far as the bottom line, I prepared a spreadsheet listing the cost of the services that Society provided based on my previous hair salon's prices. The savings were exorbitant. For cost savings alone, joining Phillip Michael's as a hard working client saves me a little fortune was a no-brainer. But I have found that the vibe is hipper and younger. As a middle aged professional woman, I was not ready to join the elderly paramatta weekly teased hairdos. Everyone at Phillip Michaels practices cutting edge hair techniques and use the most technologically advanced products and equipment.

I can truly say that my hair has never looked better. It is healthy and shiny, and I receive compliments all the time on how great it looks. I owe that to Phillip. They've become family to me; I look forward to my appointments. And I trust them with my hair.
and I get kisses from summer now that cheers me up even when I am Moodie summer makes me smile

My boyfriend and his parents have been going to Phillip to get their hair cuts and highlighted by Phillip and bill for over 2 years now. So when I wanted to get my hair highlighted for the first time along with a great cut, I thought why not have Phillip do it? I have been wanting to get my hair highlighted for years now, but am always so afraid that the stylist will mess up my hair and cause it to break and fall out. I have relatively thin hair, so I can't afford to lose anymore hair.

We called in for an appointment but had to wait 2 weeks because Phillip was backed up with customers already. I didn't mind waiting at all. At last I don't have to wait years to get what I wanted. I was more and more excited and bit nervous as the weeks passed by. I didn't know what to expect - I just know I have HIGH expectations for Phillip and bill .

They did NOT disappoint. Phillip worked on my highlights, then cut my bf's hair while I was getting a head massage, then back to finishing up cutting my hair. I love our conversations while Phillip cuts my hair. There was never a moment that I felt uncomfortable. He and his son were SUPER NICE and POLITE.

With highlights and a cut, the bill came out to be $190 . To me, this is pretty pricey for any hair cuts, but according to my bf Phillip has given me a great discount. Regardless of the price, I would come back again. Next time, I would like to get a wavy perm and make my highlights lighter shades of golden brown. Phillip professional cuts made my hair soft and natural looking. I can not wait to come back!!! I also love summer the salon dog, she is so loving and offers you kisses and fuss I must get her some treats next time, oh thanks for the free wine, pot of tea's and free snacks

PHILLIP MICHAELS HAIR & JEWELLERY BOUTIQUE

Hi guys. Just wanted to say a really huge thank you to Phillip I stupidly went to another salon for a cut on the weekend & walked out in tears after being butchered.

Serves me right for cheating on you guys with another salon.

Anyway, when I walked in to your salon this morning, I was confident that my horrendous hair would be fixed.

And it was. You listened to me when I explained what had happened & what I wanted. YOU never judged me or told me off. What I love is the way you got me involved with the cut you where doing on my hair, You explained how to cut my hair and how to cut into the hair.

Phillip then worked his magic (even remembering the smallest details I had suggested) & I left the salon feeling like a new person, with my confidence back.

As I sat in the chair, I watched & appreciated every tiny detail that you guys do the tea is delicious, the tunes are always on point, the massages are so pampering, the shampoo experience is always absolutely perfect, the towels you use are awesome, the brushes you use (and the way you know when/why to use different scissors) = ace, and don’t get me started on the absolute brilliance of the techniques you guys use when cutting!
The way you educate your son to ensure he knows to learn and to provide every little aspect of service is evidently so thorough, because every visit to see Phillip and my BBF summer is consistently perfect. And the fact that you have the old fashion up bringing shows as your love for cutting, styling, every hair speaks to you, Every time I visit you, I am always inspired to quit my job as a teacher & learn to become a hairdresser because I just love being among it all & knowing that you guys are by far the BEST.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. For every effort that goes in to providing every tiny detail of superb service to your clients, and for fixing my hair disaster!

time 10am was walking pass Daniel Lee hairdressing salon at 9/55 Philip street, Parramatta I stop and glanced in the window as there was a wonderful display of watches and rings in a glass display unit, I noticed a sign saying under new owners. and I read the price list actually there was 2 on display one for the regular younger generation and one which was an over 55 exclusive hair club. As I am mid 60 I looked at this price list with interest. they where offering wash/perm/set wow I have never seen any other salons offering perms or sets and I was curious as I love perms and a set keeps better than a blow dry for me. I entered the salon and was greeted by a young man called Bill who asked how can I help you, I said I don't have a booking but would like to know more about the perm & set service. he said excuse me I will get father to come and see you. a few minutes later a middle aged Gentleman very smartly dressed approached me and sat down and chatted to me, he felt my hair and told me very precisely how I slept during the night by the way my hair felt and that my left side was flatter because I slept on that side, which was very true. he explained what type of perm he would like to do and how he would cut it after to give a more softer look to my face. he asked when I would like to book and I asked if he could fit me in now, which he stated he could. I was taken to the up stair floor were the basin where and I was helped into a most beautiful silk hairdressing gown where in other salons a cape is put around you. and he washed my hair the shampoo he used smelt divine and the hair wash I was falling asleep as it was so good. he then took me to his seat and towelled dried my hair I was given a menu and boy oh boy it was filled with different coffee types and tea's etc I asked for a espresso, a few minutes later it arrived with a side plates of mouth watering biscuits while enjoying the coffee Michael explained to me the different perm rod and the colours and why he was using them. 25 minutes later cotton wool was placed around my hairline and back on my head then perm lotion was bubbled up into a foam on my hair. The perm lotion didn't carry the nasty smell that I was used to in the olden days. by 12 o'clock the perm was done and I was in the styling seat again where Michael explained the cut to me he explained he took my left side of my hair tighter to allow for my sleeping pattern and he was now cutting into the hair 15 minutes later I was having my hair set into rollers, and was placed under the dryer, where I received another coffee, and a smoke salmon sandwich to which I never asked for but was told as I was nearly here for 3 hours a sandwich is always made and given to clients undergoing long hair service I must say I really enjoyed it 25 minutes later my hair was dry and Michael brought me over to his styling seat and took out the rollers, he then started combing out my hair and slightly back combing and teasing it once finished I was shocked it look wonderful Michael explained how to look after my hair I thanked him and the whole thing came to $150.00 well worth it trust me. I was told a call a few days later where an over the phone after service took place this is a 1st for me on Saturday 30th called Michael and I told it was wonderful it still has that salon look to it so I am now a DANIEL LEE GIRL for life thank you michael

service the men are friendly, have a great knowledge of colours and cuts, and both discus and brain storm with you involved, I never had that before, you are part of it, its not like other salons they say you are getting this or that. Here everything is open to debate and a full detail report is done with you. like hair cut colour your face shape eyes lips nose etc trust me the cut was ace

If you wanna talk about good vibes, this is the place! When you step in, you're greeted and taken to the counter to talk about your appointment and offered a wide variety of drinks and snack! They have a water cooler with filtered water that has cucumber and lemon slices in it, a keurig coffee maker for your tea and coffee, and a mini fridge filled with various sodas.

For snacks, they offer granola bars, candy, and chips. So, if you have a long wait ahead of you, take the offer! Their coffee and tea comes with cream, half and half, and cane sugar packets too!

The waiting area, sadly, isn't that big. There's four chairs and a small table filled with magazines, but it's better than nothing. Plus, the decor is fantastic! Now onto the actual stylist! I looked at their website and chose bill as my stylist! I merely picked him because of how cute he was!

Now, mind you, the site pictures need updating because I can assure you, your stylist will not look like the photo! Anyway,

he was very warm and welcoming! he gave me hug as soon as he saw me and we talked about what I wanted done.

I orginally went in wanting bright pink, semi permanate hair. Phillip told me straight up that it wouldn't be the best choice. he took her time explaining why and gave me very good reasons! So, I went with my second color choice.

After that, he talked about how what I wanted was very dramatic and I should take baby steps.

We went with an A-Line pixie, as oppsed to a straight up pixie. It took 3 hours total and I loved every minute! Phillip was so fun and wonderful to talk too. We talked about everything and he's so funny. he's real and doesn't put up a front. he'll talk about anything and listen to your stories and that's what made the 3 hours seem like half an hour!

After the cut and color, he took me to the wash room. It's nothing special, it's a dimly lit room with an oil diffuser and a wall of oils and creams.

They have lavender oil in the diffuser and it just makes everything more relaxing! Phillip used argan oil in my hair and let me tell you something, it has NEVER been this soft. It's literally as soft as a rabbit.

Once your hair is washed, they use either a texturizer, a volumizing spray, or a heat protectant and show you how to style your new hair! Phillip gave me some samples of shampoo and conditioner that I should use for my hair and a small bottle of argan oil! I'm planning on using the samples this week and then buying the full size, as most do.

All in all, this place is wonderful! The people are great and so lively and real! This place has nothing but good vibes and Phillip is now the only stylist that I will ever have! he's just amazing!

SALON IS CALLED PHILLIP MICHAELS OF MAYFAIR

After I had my son just over a year ago pregnancy had really took a toll on my hair and it really needed attention.
I decided to treat myself to a saloon visit for my birthday, so I booked in at Phillip Michaels of Mayfair. I read all the reviews and a free of the mothers at the baby clinic had there hair done there, and the could not talk highly of Phillip and the dog summer who they all loved. Martha told me to ask for a Ying Yang she showed me her hair, it was wow every direction there was different colours
I had never been here before and couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome and relaxed.
I had a colour and cut and was not too sure on what I wanted but both Phillip and his son bill who did my colour was very friendly & helpful we both then decided on a transformation from my normal hair colour. In just a few hours of drinking hot chocolate, great magazines, and a pink rinse on my dull highlights, I turned into a new woman I felt totally amazing. Thank you bill and Phillip it made such a difference. I’ve been wishing for a hair colour like this for years! Yesterday I had the same wonderful experience, with an even deeper pink rinse - Thank you so much my hair looks totally fantastic and I absolutely love my colour.
my cut was lovely and HE advised me on what would suit me and I love my cut. HE also spent the time recommending products I asked about and showing me how to curl my hair, and the curls did last all day to my surprise.
I can never normally curl my hair successfully but will now practice! Overall I really enjoyed my saloon experience and will be going again.
They are Professional. A big thank to both of them I came out feeling a million dollars with a healthy head of hair again :)

Phillip is great! Ever since my hair stylist left her salon I couldn't follow her to the new one she went to so I had to find a new place in the city to get my cuts.

25 years, 9 months, 27 days. That's how long I existed on this planet before Phillip gave me the best haircut of my life.

My hair is incredibly thick and heavy, and I always keep it long. For years, I lost bobby pins and snapped hair ties while trying to get it out my face. I managed, but it was mostly because I never knew anything different.
When I would go in for a cut, I'd always say, "Keep as much of the length as possible, but please cut off whatever's dead." (Okay, I should be getting trims more often than every 9 months, but that's not what we're here to talk about.)
Somehow, Phillip heard me say that, ran his hands through my hair, and immediately realized that what I actually wanted was some long layers that enhanced my hair's natural wave and less weight overall. He also cut my hair dry, then washed it after

This is the first time I've gotten a haircut that actually made my hair feel lighter. The first time! The texture is exactly the same, but a literal weight has been lifted off my shoulders (and neck). It used to take my hair 3 or 4 hours to air dry; now it's closer to 30 minutes. And the chunky natural wave that I love so much frames my face perfectly.

Anyone with thick hair who wants something simple and smart yet still transformative should go see Phillip right now. Like, right now. Hopefully she'll be cutting my hair for the next 25 years, 9 months, and 27 days.
Always come out of this place loving my cut and not hating it the very next day. Haha

I went looking for Daniel lee as I heard a lot regarding the owner Phillip Michaels, but couldn't find the salon. Silly me? it is now called Phillip Michaels of Mayfair named after the man him self.
The path to finding a good hair stylist can be a long road full of mediocre haircuts and grow-out. When you finally stumble upon a stylist who listens, has skill, is able to execute exactly what you want, and makes you feel and look amazing, it is like finding a diamond.

I feel that this is exactly what I found at Phillip Michaels . From my first haircut with phillip to my latest, I have walked out of the salon with a fantastic haircut. Each time I go in (which is about every 8weeks, since my hair is very short), phillip discusses with me what I want to do, and then takes his time executing the cut. He spends as much time on my short hair as he would on someone's long hair- which is not always the case with stylists. He only uses scissors to cut and texture my hair, and the result is always amazing. Because of his technique, the grow-out looks better for longer as well.

He recently encouraged me to change color from black to red, and it looks great. I get compliments on my hair every single day.

I really appreciate the time and work that Phillip puts into my hair. I also appreciate that the salon doesn't ask you, but there always a pot of tea with a plate of goodies waiting for you after your hair been washed by Bill

I Wish I could give 10stars to this place and my new hairstylist PHILLIP MICHAEL, who did my color , cut
I have been in PARRAMATTA for 2yrs now and have tried so many good salons with high rating and never got satisfied with my color or haircut.

I showed Phillip and bill Phillip son what kinda color I want and how porous my hair is that it grabs lot of color than usual so end result never comes of to be what I want.both of them chatted with me and the 3 of us had a clear visual of what was going to happen and made sure they saturated my hair wel enough with color and took there time to go over it covering it in bleach by hand where needed. Its fun watch this father and son team work together, you can see they both love hairdressing and thrive on hair problems everything was nicely covered by hand and as the bleach started to work they both took it in turns checking the bleach depth everywhere .bill was concerned about the damage on my hair due to over bleaching my hair from other places. BUT PHILLIP told him we are doing it free hand so don't worry we can see what is going on as it is not enclosed in foils so the air can get to it freely after they washed my hair dryed it off and added all my sunshine colours, it looks woooooowwwww Now it's so SHINY , SMOOTH AND SILKY . I can't stop touching my hair now , just Loooveee them.

And cut which was my main thing, as I want to reduce weight from my hair as they r thick n hard to wash it often. phillip not only cut them, but gave it life with his cutting technic of textering my haircut and head off to , he has amazing talent. I just can't go anywhere else now ever. I love both of the boys I love summer there dog I got kisses and she is so loving

"Professional from the moment I walked in, well organised, efficient, knowledgeable staff. Walked out feeling fantastic, they really listened to what I wanted and that is very rare to find. Haven't had this great a customer experience in a long time! I have already recommended your salon to two of my friends. “Since I've been visiting Phillip for my cut and style over the last few years, this salon has consistently provided me with an exceptional service that far exceeds any salon I’d tried previously. The team are always very welcoming and professional, and both Phillip and his Son who have both cut my hair have really taken the time to understand and meticulously create the exact look I’m after, are knowledgeable in recommending the right products for my hair and always seek feedback to make sure the final result hits the mark - based on the compliments I receive, the results have shown every time! Visiting this salon is always a great experience. Its reviews and awards are well deserved!"
I really love that there a pot of wonderful Tea and different snacks waiting for you in your styling area. I love it that my hair is always cut Dry, for balance and volume Phillip never washes the hair first he always washes it after the cut, then he goes over the cut once it washed, up to yet I have never received a cut that I can wash and go with but with Philip that what I do I wash it and leave it to air dry, it looks brill.
Also note Phillip never books anyone else in while you have your appointment you receive 121 attention from him and bill his son and not to forget summer the dog she lovely the 90 minutes is all yours for $120 that very fair
Once a Quarter I ago for the full out treat and have a Bhave Treatment on my hair it take 2 hours and cost by itself $160 but it totally leaves my hair silky and smooth. If you get colours done like I do this treatment is a must between.
friendly tip talk to Phillip & Bill in your free consultation regarding foils, full head colours, they both have very clear idea's on colours and what is best for your hair,

1 little bit of bad news both Phillip and Bill cant blow-dry hair straight but if phillip cuts your hair bill will blow dry just go easy as that is the only pitfall

I was lucky enough to find Phillip Michael's & son when he took over Daniel Lee Hair salon From Damien about 2 years ago. Since then I have been every 9 weeks for wash cut finish with the most amazing results my cut is never the same. Damien caught Phillip By taking all the clients off him, as they where loyal to Damien Phillip son Bill spent 4 week putting flyers into letter boxes and door, and slowly they stated building up the business, the salon is facing the park royal hotel in PARRAMARTTA phillip has had many years of experience and it shows. If there is ever a problem ( which is very rare ) he fixes it immediately and without complaining! I work in an industry that is hard on my hair but because of her dedication to perfection I still have great hair I am always complemented on how beautiful my hair look by people everywhere. When they ask where I get my hair done I say the best Salon in Australia. Phillip Michael's of Mayfair
Thanks phillip for your amazing dedication to quality, perfection and beauty!
Thanks also for lots of fun conversations over great coffee too!
I'll never go anywhere else!

I needed a haircut. I found this salon on here and was very pleased. The staff was arranging, professional and willing to accommodate a tourist. My haircut was well executed and perfect I loved it when I saw summer as I missed my dog back at home, and summer gave me kisses I had major grey hair but the father and son team soon transform me to a new colour and cut

When it comes to hairdressers, I'm probably one of the pickiest people alive - for one, I like building a relationship with my stylist. There needs to be trust and a foundation for creative licence; I like entrusting my hair onto people who have creativity and aren't afraid to suggest something different.

It's hard to find that in Perth - in fact, that is the reason why I always return to my hairdresser overseas in Singapore at least twice a year. But, after my cousin (who has also done the rounds in finding a reliable stylist in Perth) recommended Phillip Michaels Of Mayfair, I decided to pop in to give it a shot.

I've been back twice now and I have to recommend booking an appointment with Phillip. He's a very humble and down to earth stylist with not only a wealth of experience, but a creative eye and a real passion for constant self-improvement and doing things differently.

A cut and blow dry is priced from $90, which is very reasonable considering that he's a senior stylist/the owner. this is also the only salon I'd trust for all my wacky hair colour ideas - i.e. come the day if I ever want to have lilac or green hair again, that is salon I'd trust.
Prices are not the higher end compared to most salons in Phillip Street I've been to, and I tip which we ozzies are not famous at doing but I did it because I have faith that I am going to get the perfect cut and colour :) Isn’t there a sight where we can vote that this salon gets an award on their skills I have never ever been to a salon where you are made to feel like royalty and also a friend?
I love Summer who sat with my while I received my 121 with Phillip, do you know he doesn't book anyone around you, your appointment is your time and no one else is booked until you leave, Bill his son does a wonderful wash I nearly fell asleep, and he helps dad by blow drying. He is learning from the master, and when it comes to colouring they both feed off each other, and the end result are wonderful
I had a YING YANG with 4 colours wash cut style and let me tell you $390 is cheap I gave $10 making it $400
thank you bill, Phillip, and kisses to Summer

having my hair done by Phillip Michaels of Mayfair
I think I speak for the majority of females when I say we are terribly picky about who touches our hair. Hair dressers are either a hit or miss, especially when you're after a restyle or new colour.
On a particularly impulsive day, I decided that dying the ends of my hair purple and getting a blow wave would improve my quality of living significantly. Luckily, so did Philip Michael’s, and they managed to squeeze me in within an hour of calling them? Nice! Amazing hair salon!!! Phillip is absolutely the best! I was so nervous about getting my haircut (away from my regular stylist in the U.S. where I live but the hotel park royal told me to try Phillp), but came away so pleased! My hair is kind of funky and curly and Phillip was able to trim it and texturize it exactly as I wanted it! He's also very creative with colour! I had a ying yang with 4 different colours no foils no cap fully hand painted onto my hair I highly recommend this salon, especially Phillip!
Located in Phillip Street the salon is a little bit fancy. The inside is beautiful with very clean glass and black tiles, for a cut, colour and blow wave, I paid around $380. I'd recommend it to ladies who like the experience of getting their hair done because you do actually pay that little bit extra for the tiny luxuries they provide. I think its well worth it! And you get the man himself. Hair professionals like no other. Customer Service is unparalleled. Stayed through their lunch time to take care of my hair needs. I was treated like a long-time friend. Could not ask for more
Oh and hugs to summer I love her she so loving and gives kisses and stays with you, she the salon mascot, next time I must get her some smacko treats summer came to Australia with Phillip and his son along with 2 cats from England.
==== I must warn you, Phillip is very straightforward in the way he talks, he doesn't mix words if your hair is fuked he will tell you and show you, before he corrects it expect to be in the seat for 90 minutes for wash cut finish he doesn't rush he takes his time cutting your hair. I had the Ying Yang cut finish was there just under 3 hours

must say the amount of free flowing pots of teas or coffee free snacks apple oranges chip etc keep coming so tell the boys you will help yourself when you want it, that way you do whatever

prices here are very good for the area
wash cut fin from $90.00
restyle from $130.00
colours from 90.00
are very good prices
