Distinctive Pergolas - Andrew Fehlberg

Fantastic design and value for money.
We had a Veranda, Pergola and Decking built with Distinctive Pergolas and they were exceptional.
Every thing was done on or before schedule and we were entertaining our family and friends in style. Every one just loves the result.
I have recommended Distinctive Pergolas to others and on every occasion they have used them and happy they did.

We had our first pergola built by Distinctive Pergolas about 4 years ago and were impressed with the results.
After moving into a new home in 2008 we contacted them for a quote and they responded promptly.
The design they came up with was far better than the other 3 companies we had out and their price was very good as well. After placing our order the whole process went very smoothly and the Pergola was built on time.
The finished Pergola is spectacular and the envy of our friends The Quality is fantastic and we spend more time under our Pergola than any other part of the house.
We would not hesitate to use Distinctive Pergolas Again.

Don't get Distinctive Pergolas. They ask for large deposits in breach of the Building Work Contractors Act 1995. They have been convicted of breaches of this Act before (http://www.ocba.sa.gov.au/assets/medicomms/mrelease_fehlbergbuilder.pdf)
Once you give them the money you never see them again. If they do this to you report them to Office of Consumer and Business Affairs. The police fraud squad also has a fat file.

Whatever you do, do not get Distinctive Pergolas to do work for you. I made this mistake recently. I signed a quote for the construction of a pergola. Whatever you do don't fall for the “We'll have the work done by Christmas” trick. They ask for large deposits in breach of the Building Work Contractors Act 1995. Distinctive Pergolas state that the large deposit is for the drafting of council plans and application. Once you give them the money you never see them again. The plans were never lodged. Like others, I lodged an official Request for Assistance in the Office of Consumer and Business Affairs. If you have had the misfortune of dealing with Distinctive Pergolas under similar circumstances please report them to your local police station and sign an affidavit.

Whatever you do, don't go with these guys. We did the mistake of getting our veranda built by them. They did their sales ploy of 'if you sign right now you'll get a great deal' which my husband unfortunately fell for. We put down a huge deposit (didn't realise at the time), did not hear back from them. Phone calls were left unanswered. Build dates were set but then cancelled at the last minute for a variety of reasons. He never lodged council approval plans (even though it was specified in the quote).
