We live in Wavell Heights, Queensland, in a 1940s house and have renovated with a theme very much in the Balinese style. Dustin was recommended to us by some friends who had work done and from the start Dustin was on time, professional and, even though we had some idea of what we wanted, Dustin was able to translate our thoughts into a picture that ended in an excellent finished job. He was able to provide answers and solutions to problems that were encountered along the way and at all times is respectful and there is no job that is too small or hard for him to do. We have had Dustin do two maintenance projects and several small jobs for us and on top of that his price is very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Dustin to anyone. It is a great pleasure to know and work with him.

It gives me great pleasure to write this review about Dustin Marsh our local Carpenter from Geebung. He was a breath of fresh air from the start. A tradesman that turns up on time, listens to what you want done, keeps to budget and always had a solution for the "tricky" things that popped up. We bought a 1960's house that needed lots of repairs and maintenance. Dustin's quality of work was excellent. He also has a high attention to detail. All the repairs he completed were spot on. Removal of an internal stair, install floor to cover the resulting hole, install a door in the external wall, construction of a new external stair and landing. At all times Dustin was polite, clean and professional. His quote was excellent and he did all work as described and to a high degree of quality. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

Old bathroom gutted, asbestos removed, all fittings removed. Designed new bathroom, waterproofed bathroom as a wet room(with wheelchair access in mind) quoted cost and keen to discuss our needs as work progressed. 2 week turnaround quoted and completed to the day. Have just read the two previous reviews. For fear of looking like we have colluded I will just say they stole what I wanted to say. Dustin and his work is exactly how the two other reviewers have stated. We had no recommendation before asking Dustin to do some work for us. We had had such a bad experience with a previous carpenter that we had not touched the bathroom for 12 months. Finally we plucked up some courage and called Dustin who a few months prior we had seen locally and asked for his card. We were cautious. Talked with him about our experience and had him complete just one job. OMG! Dustin turned up when he said he would, he clearly is proud of his work and produces the quality to match. He treated our house with respect and had the job completed promptly. We have a 50's weather board requiring a bot of maintenace work. We immediately asked him to do further work. Everything he has and is doing gives us great confidence. Dustin listens to what you want, talks you through it and encourages you to be part of the discussion. He is a thinker. Looks for the best solution. We are very pleased with his work and continue to line up other work with him. Its all about trust. You know how you have your family doctor, family dentist, well Dustin is our Family Carpenter. The good old days of your local tradie.
Work done: false ceiling and sliding door, maintenace of front verandah including roof stairs and front gables which had some water damage.

First had Dustin remove a homebuilt staircase that wasn't up to standard. He removed staircase, replaced walls and ceiling and installed a loft ladder. His work is quick and of a very high standard. We were so happy with the result we asked him to renovate the bathroom. This was a 1950's shower over bath affair. He enlarged the room by removing inappropriately placed cupboards. His team was on time, neat in work and the quality of the work is very good. If you are looking for a north-side builder who is prompt, efficient, of high standard, leaves a work site immaculate, keeps you informed and reasonable charges then definitely try DJ Marsh Builders. Would always call him first for any future jobs.

Dustin's card was given to us by our local hardware and came with glowing recommendations. We had a large back deck and small front entrance deck and stairs rebuilt. Plus we had Dustin return to renovate another small deck and complete miscellaneous other minor repairs.
We love the quality of the work he does. His finish is immaculate, his perfectionism is outstanding and having him work around our home has been stress free. We really value and appreciate the love and attention he puts into his work. We highly recommend him and would use him again anytime.
