BEWARE! Like other reviewers we initially had a positive experience with DNA Bathrooms but not long after the completion we experienced and discovered some major issues with their renovation of our laundry and new wash room. We discovered a few years later that the toilet was connected to our grey water instead of sewerage and our back lawn eventually over flowed with feces leaving us with a health hazard. The laundry cupboards fell off the wall a few years later nearly killing my wife (DNA Bathrooms & Kitchen's initial response was to ask if we put something heavy in the cupboard). The sliding door to the toilet continually jams because of sloppy workmanship and not leaving enough of a gap in the cavity. The toilet macerator continually gives us trouble and have since discovered installing it in the wall cavity goes against the manufacturer's installation instructions. MDF instead of hard wood used for trims in a wet area?? DNA Bathrooms & Kitchens continually takes no responsibility for any mistakes and shifts blame on to the customer and is both aggressive and rude. Even stating that the door has a 3 month maintenance warranty so not his problem (even though he didn't install it with enough clearance to begin with as stated in my building inspection report). Good luck if you decide to use DNA Bathrooms but my advice would be to go with someone else and avoid any future issues.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending DNA Bathrooms. We completely replaced our outdated bathroom including structural changes and the results were amazing. Whilst you may well find a cheaper quote, Duncan and Sarah's professionalism and support made them an absolute pleasure to deal with and our bathroom renovation a painless and stress free process. Small design changes they suggested during the process only enhanced our finished product whilst Sarah's assistance and advice in relation to colors and fittings also contributed. Delivery ahead of time was just a bonus.

I completely renovated my bathroom and separate toilet using DNA Bathrooms & Kitchens. I was really thrilled with the results – it looks amazing - and after a few weeks back using it, I can see how well everything was built – all the tiles are perfectly aligned and everything is solid.
Duncan and Sarah were terrific through all stages of the process. They listened to what I wanted and came back with a simple, elegant and functional design for the space. They provided helpful suggestions during the selection process, responded to all queries quickly, explained all aspects of the job as they went along and, unlike a number of places I used in the past, left the place spotless – as in shining. We used DNA to renovate our main bathroom a couple of years ago (a room we are still really happy with), and recently had them complete an ensuite and laundry renovation. We absolutely love the final outcome and found our experiences even more positive than last time, which we put down to having both Sarah and Duncan integrally involved in the process from start to finish. Sarah was fantastic at coordinating the supply of all the products, getting our inputs in a timely manner at key points and was always extremely responsive to all our queries. Duncan was also very available and technically knowledgeable, offering really good advice and prompt action to overcome all issues encountered.

We had a few companies come to quote the job, and DNA were the only company who offered a truly creative vision for what could be done and at a competitive price. We hadn't even realised a new ensuite would be possible before talking to DNA. They managed to keep a separate laundry for us with an adjoining toilet while adding a brand new ensuite to the adjacent bedroom, making fantastic use of space.

We really enjoyed all our interactions with them, in that they are not pushy sales people, are very professional, reliable and worked closely with us to make sure all the details of the job were correct. All the tradies used on the job were extremely polite and highly competent too (which was one of the main reasons we chose to use them a second time).

Last but not least, they completed the job 1 week earlier than scheduled, in the lead up to Christmas which made it extra impressive. We highly recommend them!

The smallest room in the house but the most complex to renovate! We needed a complete bathroom renovation, chose DNA to do the job and were not disappointed. The project was very well managed by Duncan and Sarah who were always available by phone or email and prompt in responding to any questions/concerns we might have. Rob, who oversaw the actual site work, was great - his friendly manner and excellent trade skills easing a lot of the inevitable stress of any renovation. Every tradesperson employed by DNA - carpenter, plumber, tilers, painters, electrician - came on time, was polite and did their work well. We are very happy with the end result which was completed exactly on time. Having the bathroom professionally cleaned at the end of the project was an added bonus.

We had our old bathroom gutted and completely renovated from scratch by DNA Bathrooms in June. The project took 4 weeks and went without a hitch. All fittings, fixtures and workmanship were of excellent quality (and I'm fussy!) and our new bathroom looks fabulous! Everyone we liaised with - from Duncan who organised the initial quote, supplies & paperwork, Daniel who oversaw all the other tradies and daily work, the painters, plumber, tilers and electrician, to Sarah who patiently answered all my questions, followed up everything and ensured everything went smoothly - was so helpful and hardworking. Everyone working on our bathroom kept mess and disruption to a minimum and a cleaner was sent at project end so that our beautiful new bathroom was spotlessly clean and shiny. Costwise, DNA is mid-range, not the cheapest and not the most expensive - and excellent value. I would not hesitate to recommend or use DNA again.

We chose DNA to remodel our ensuite after finding their website online. The organization of their company impressed us and after meeting with Duncan we knew that we had made a good choice. DNA bathrooms converted two old (60s) rooms – one had a bath and one had shower, but neither could really be called bathrooms - into an ensuite and bathroom/laundry combined. The job involved removing asbestos, carpentry, plastering, painting, plumbing, tiling and electrical work. Two toilets and two showers were installed, along with a new hot water service and an essential power-board upgrade. Duncan and Sarah did a wonderful job designing, costing and coordinating all the work. They also organised the use of a portable bathroom, which made a huge difference. The project manager (Rob) and tradies were all highly skilled and professional in everything they did. The site was left tidy each day and the bathrooms were finished before time, with no hidden expenses. We are thrilled with the finished product and highly recommend DNA bathrooms to anyone.

After always struggling to find good, reliable tradesmen we were nervous to start such a big project as new homeowners. DNA helped us feel much more comfortable and confident with the process from our very first meeting with Duncan. Their prompt communication and updates really help to make the process go smoothly. With any renovation, you would expect some bumps along the way and DNA did a great job to resolve any issues so that we were completely satisfied. Rob, our project manager, was exceptional. We have no regrets in choosing DNA, and found that every tradesman to visit our home was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. They were very good about meeting us after hours given our difficult work schedules and promptly responded to all our questions. In particular I had concerns about the tiles we were to use, and they identified a fantastic solution to our concerns. The build was started on time and completed on time, with no unwarranted or surprise extra costs. DNA arranged a portable ensuite for us which was really appreciated, while also keeping us informed as the work progressed.

DNA Bathrooms came to renovate both the bathrooms in my home. They have just completed one, and the second one is due to finish in a few weeks. The service given by DNA Bathrooms is way beyond the expectations I had. They are very friendly and always strive to do their best. In the end they not only renovated my bathrooms, they fixed my hot water and my roof leak where I already had 3 plumbers try to fix! The thing that sets DNA Bathrooms apart from most for me is the way they deal with issues throughout the renovation - there's no blame, they just talk to you about how to resolve it and get you what you want, and they do it really efficiently. There are not many people in this industry I have dealt with that are like that!
