Very poor customer service. Waited 6 months for job to be completed, which was then installed incorrectly and no response received from emails sent to the store. Wont return phone calls either. I have been trying for 10 months to get the door fixed so it is usable.

Very late with product, can not deliver on time as promised, repeated lies, rude sales staff
Unfortunately can not recommend using this business and I will go elsewhere for future product needs

How I wished I read reviews DO Not buy a door for this business $4800 the door began to warp in 5 months. Continually ignore phone calls and emails for over 12 months. Mike the owner had me in tears with his arrogance and dismissiveness over the issues with the door.

Very disappointed. My French door leaks and no one at Door City is interested in resolving the problem even after numerous phone calls and emails. Go somewhere else would be my advice.

Very happy with our new bi-fold door that was recently installed. Adam the installer did a great job. We couldn't be happier with the end result.

There is no option for zero stars - one star is way to generous!
What an awful, unprofessional and downright rude company to deal with.
From the moment they took my money and promised 4-6 week turnaround which eventuated into 12 weeks. No progress reports, no call backs, no customer service.
Door was fitted and did not look or feel right so complained initially and then told it needed to ‘bed in’. Waited another month and the called to complain again about how ill fitting the door was, the lock wasn’t right, the door wasn’t water proof (big gaps). Lots of excuses, lots of unreturned calls, call screening (never answering my calls). Outrageous.
Finally the fitter came out and inspected and told us straight up it wasn’t right - did a botch fix but told us we needed a new door.
Branch Management claiming no liability due to Suncover - or lack of. Apparently all our problems come from sun exposure on the door. At no stage of the sale process - including them coming out to inspect the premises and measure up for the door to be fitted (!) did anyone ever bring to our attention the fact that the doors they sell are not fit for any sun exposure (even though they are sold are exterior doors!)
Then regional management got involved and we hoped things would improve. We were offered $1000 back (from over $3k+ original door) and we would have to put in writing we would not put up any reviews. They also sent a quote for $3.5k for (quote) ‘a door fit for purpose’. We have rejected this.
Bad products, bad quality, bad service, rude management.... please don’t waste your time or good money here folks.

I did get the feeling that they were familiar with the process. They accused me of bullying when I told them that I would take it to Fair Trade! It really needs to be stopped. Please do email me and I will see what I can do :)

Something has to be done to stop these people from treating their customers so badly and like idiots. I too had a very bad experience with the Boondall shop a couple of years ago. My initial review was removed, so I reviewed again which this time has remained. I would never recommend Door City to anyone. I hope you have success at QCAT.

Don’t waste your time or money and go elsewhere – Best FREE advice you will get this year!
From the date the deposit was paid this company started making promises they couldn’t keep. Told 4 – 6 weeks to get door – reality 12 weeks! Continually ignored calls and when eventually spoke to someone they were nothing short of rude and made promises that they failed to deliver upon. Despite the company sending fitter out to measure and apparently assess suitability this apparently doesn’t count as any liability for the door once fitted not being fit for purpose which we found out after fitting. Once the door was fitted there were immediate problems and we were fobbed of with excuse after excuse (door has to settle, bed in etc etc) and calls not returned etc. As soon as the three month warranty period has passed they all of a sudden they were pleased to tell us “you don’t have a warrant go to ombudsman” and tried everything to wriggle out of any liability. They eventually sent a fitter out to check the door who told us the door was poorly fitted and should be replaced, apparently Branch Management didn’t agree so that was ignored. Eventaully regional management got involved and atleast bothered to come to inspect the door and despite making numerous escuses and blaiming some sales people who are more interested in sales than the customer he admitted that the door should never have been sold/fitted in the current setting due to sun exposure. Door city then kindly sent us an estimate for another door with the advice “action the quote and Door City will replace the door with a door suited to the exposure”……………..surely they should have sold us a door suited to the exposre in the first place as they are the supposed experts?! They did offer us $1k to remove reviews (and provide an email to say we would not review in future) but with the initial $3k we paid plus the additional $2k they wanted us to pay to get a quote “ door suited to the exposure”?!!?
I could write more but I hope from this review you get a good enough idea of the quality of company they are and asve yourself the hassle. We also caught them out for staff incl Branch management writing positive reviews on the internet, so that speaks volumes to me.

I get the feeling that they completely disregard consumer legislation as they know how difficult it is to enforce, and most people aren't willing to make an issue of it, so they continue to get away with it.

A very disappointing experience:
For a cost of nearly $3000, we received -
- A delivery by one person and it took 3 to get it off loaded
- Unfinished and marked staining
- The door was too tight in the frame and split the timber when opened. It had to be completely removed from the frame by my builder and replaced with clearance after gluing that split.
- The screw on one hinge was burred and we had to use a screw extractor to remove it.
- Very little after sales support although they gave us a small container of stain to patch up.
- Whilst the finished product now looks good, it cost us nearly $500 to rectify.
