Dorset Gardens Hotel

I was pleasantly surprised. Great menu selection, reasonably priced, generous sizes. Seniors and kids menus available. Great kids room. Was quick and easy to order meals and drinks. Meals were yummy and delivered quickly.

My son and I dined at this hotel for lunch, we both ordered porterhouse steak, when my meal arrived I could not believe what I received, a huge thick steak smothered in delicious mushroom gravy, a heap of vegies and a large bowl of mash potato with chips, I really struggled getting through it all, it was fantastic, 10/10

It is what it is - a generic pub bistro. Food isn't bad, but nothing to rave about either. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly but the meal itself was just okay.

It had been over 20 years since my husband and I enjoyed lunch here and it certainly has changed quite a lot. We were served delicious food by extremely friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable, tables cleared quickly. You can also stay at the Hotel for around $100 per night.

The old watering hole food not bad they still have live bands and a night club which is wooful there bistro is okay well worth visiting

Great place for lunch. Menu seems to cater to all tastes, although my favourite is the 'Roast of the Day' when it is beef.
Drinks at bar prices. Staff all friendly, service prompt when they are not too busy, and great coffee.

I came here with my dad for lunch, we both had pumpkin risotto. YUM. it's table service, which was an unexpected bonus. drinks are available from the bar. The menu is pretty standard, but watching all the meals come out they looked great. And all plates went back to the kitchen empty. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Ate here the other day, and staff was really wonderful. Seems to be quite busy here all the time, and is always good to see that they deliver the best service all the time. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a local bite. I have been back a half a dozen times, and cannot fault. Lovely people and food.

We have been going here for dinner once a month for over a year now and have consistently been impressed with the quality of the food, and the prompt and friendly service. Definitely the best kid friendly bistro in the area and the roast is always delicious!

Amazing value to be found here- the meals are great too and the variety is a treat too. This is one local pub I'll definitely return to!!

The Food is very delicious at this Hotel. There is a Kids Indoor Play area and the atmosphere is great. Sometimes they have special nights like Parma night or Fish night.

Great place for children as many restaurants expect kids to be quiet and that doesn't happen. They have an area the kids can play while you order. Very accommadating on timing food for the children and adults. Will be going here more often now.

I've been to this place a few times and it is usually really good. The serves are generous - in fact I usually get the Senior's Chicken parma because it is half the size of the normal one - and when I got that one I took half of it home for lunch the next day! I've found the service to be quick and the waiters helpful. I've been here for lunch - had small meal and snacky things as well as for an evening meal. Always a good feed and great value for money.

Although the staff service was quite good, it just cant detract from the fact that the food is awful.
The chicken parma tasted like it was days old, just terrible. Food took forever to come out.
Not one person in our party liked any of their meals, would not recommend this place to anyone!
The kids play area had unsecured cords on the ground and stale food on the floor, goodness knows when it was cleaned last.

Have had mixed results with this place. The bistro food has been just okay when we have visited however the staff very friendly. When attending functions in their function rooms however they have been very good.

This place looks alot better since they did it up. The food was nice and the restaurant is modern and clean. There is a playground for kids to play in. The food was average for the price.

The service was fine and meals pretty good but we did wait a bit for our meal. It is a pretty big room so it was a bit noisey too, not the quiet place for a romantic meal but good for a quick cheap meal.

Normal Bistro meal, exactly as you would expect from this type of dining. Variety of meals are a little better then most bistros of this type. I'm told that the Angus Rump is to die for. Everyone else was satisfied but not overly impressed with their meals.
