Dr Emma Readman has operated on me once. [Redacted due to AHPRA Guidelines] However her office makes it extremely hard to talk with her even when one is in great pain. They say that the message is delivered and the doctor will call back but the patient is left to eating panadols and then making appointments to see her.
Dr Emma Readman has operated on me twice. She is an excellent doctor and surgeon. Not only is she clear and thorough in everything pre-surgery she is excellent in followup post surgery. An extremely compassionate doctor who clearly cares for her patients.
Dr Readman has fantastic communication skills and is a top notch surgeon to boot! She clearly worked through my treatment options had I had surgery May 13/2013 with a positive outcome. She was accessible all the time, thorough kind and caring yet somehow down to earth and very human.
Emma has operated on me 3 times so far & I have been seeing her for about 2 years. I had been looking for a Dr like Emma for approx 7 years and been through the public system, had surgery on my Endo etc etc... NO ONE has helped me quite like Emma has. The surgery through public system didn't help me at all. Emma has been caring & supportive, her surgery has made my condition 100% better & I even fell pregnant for the 1st time after years of trying. When that pregnancy unfortunately was ectopic the public hospital staff were just going to remove my tubes without question - I called Emma & she dropped everything to arrange for me to get transferred to the Mercy. She saved my tubes, my fertility (and my life!).
Emma has followed up my surgery & checked on me even on weekends - returned calls without delay & has always been lovely to me.
Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have found Emma. Yes, it has cost me more than the public system - but my ovaries & health are worth more than just going to any random Dr.

I am not sure about what she is like as a surgeon (but probably pretty damn good) but I saw Emma 12/2012 and her manner, communication and expertise were top notch.

well, you won't know till you try...surgery, i mean!...and then it might be late...do your research before you commit...just there is a catch...who is to guarantee that they are going to be good even though they have good credentials...but-usually nice manners (by that i don't mean bottom licking)
but nice manners and profesionalism do point professional surgery too...sorry for sarcasm...too bussy doctor is not a good doctor (by that i don't mean bussy with his surgery/clinic but too preoccupied with himself and blabing nonsense...beside that if they are able to explain you condition, that means that they have knowledge (even if you don't you as a women would recognise your symptoms)...i hope you take into account what i've just said and find right one...by the way my first surgeon was good
just bit posh, so i left him...well, required happy medium !!! do research of your condition (no matter what it is-even fibroids) but let surgeon do the rest...no matter, public (as you mentioned before on your comment on my review) or private as dr Emma would be...in any case-good luck...
Dr Readman really is the best GYN! I had 3 medical procedures with her and she was absolutely fantastic. The best part is that she is very personable while being completely professional. She answers any questions and explains very clearly. She really makes you feel comfortable and cared for. It really is too bad she isn't an OBGYN (I have told her myself!)!! :)
Emma is an extremely approachable, thorough, compassionate doctor. Great bedside manner and the nurses in hospital rate her as one of the best. Being a nurse myself, I want someone fabulous. Pity she doesn't do obstetrics...

Fantastic female Gynaecologist. Just the sort of Dr you want to have for gynae issues. Doesn't get much better than this! Affordable even as a public patient.
