May be 10 years ago this was a great compassionate doctor, based on older reviews. Now she works under Genea and has completely adopted Genea’s approach to the patients. Or may be she’s been working for so long in the field of infertility that has developed professional indifference to her patients. During the first consultations Genea’s doctors are warm and considerate - to attract the client. Once the paperwork is signed and treatment commences, the patients become just numbers to them. Patients are left on their own to find the answers to the most of their questions during IVF process and to do their own self-education on all nuances etc. When some situation could have been avoided, important symptoms are ignored and to every failure Genea’s doctors respond with encouragement to go for the next attempt instead of trying their best to make sure that the woman becomes pregnant with as little attempts as possible considering how expensive IVF is and also how detrimental it can be for female health. Not even considering the psychological impact of the swings “high hope - deep grief of loss due to failed IVF attempt - again high hopes - and again grief due to the failure”. Sadly this doctor is not exception.

I've seen Gabrielle twice and while I haven't been successful as yet she has been fantastic, really down to earth and I found her sensible and straight forward - she is kind but also points out what needs to be done, which in my case is losing weight. I find her very easy to deal with. She has been running late both times I went but given the amount of time she has spent with me and my husband in our appointments I can understand why she does run a bit over time. Definitely would recommend her to anyone needing help with fertility. She seems to favour trying for a natural pregnancy which I like, as I was glad she didn't try to get us straight into using lots of medications or invasive procedures.

My husband and I have found Dr Dezarnaulds to be engaging, informative and a trusted advisor in our journey towards parenthood. We now have a young son (via her IVF assistance) and plan to approach her again when we want another child. She is sensible and straight down the line, as well as being efficient and empathetic. Her assistant has always been helpful and friendly. We recommended her to two friends who were equally successful with her treatment and are now happy parents.

We consulted Dr Dezarnaulds after deciding to move from another infertility specialist. Whereas the other doctor was brusque and dead set on getting us to do IVF, Dr Dezarnaulds was gentle but knowledgeable in her approach. She suggested we would probably get pregnant within 6-12 months (given I had had endometriosis removed) and that we should try naturally before IVF. We fell pregnant naturally 2 months later. Her assistant is matter of fact but very efficient.

I was also a patient of Dr Dezarnaulds through Sydney IVF, she took over my treatment after my previous fertility specialist left Sydney IVF mid treatment. Gabrielle was nothing but kind, compassionate and extremely understanding and I would recommend her to anyone. We fell pregnant first time and now have a beautiful baby girl. We are now living interstate but will be flying to Sydney to use Gabrielle again. I found Gabrielle's personal assistant to be friendly and helpful during all my dealings with her on the phone.

She works with Sydney IVF but also has a consultation room in Newtown. Her trouble-shooting, outlook are similar to other fertility specialists. Her approach is conservative and her manner authoritative. I was made to feel by both her and her secretary demanding and bothersome.

After 5 years of heartbreaking miscarriages we were referred to Dr Gabrielle Dezarnaulds. Within weeks she had diagnosed a treatable thyroid condition and I was referred to an endocrinologist. We now have a healthy baby of 4 months old. Dr Dezarnaulds is a most compassionate and caring professional.
