I love Lionel. He has delivered all three of my babies naturally and without fuss. I love his attitude and always trust him 100% with what he has to say. He has been my gyno/Ob for over 10 years now and I cannot reccommend him enought. I have also gone through 3 misscarriages with him and have found him so be extremely sympathetic and helpful. i would not trust my babies to anyone else and have always found hime to be professional and helpful. He always returns calls and gives you an honest opinion, even at 3am in the morning - nothing is ever too much for him. His support post pregnancy is amazing and he is always willing to listen.
One thing that stuck out so much to me was the love that he has for his job, I have never met someone so passionate about what he does.
He is slightly cocky, but I love that about him.
He is absolutely fantastic!

Lionel's down to earth attitude and tell it as it is mentality has eased the anxiety that surely comes with most first pregnancies. Having had early complications with the pregnancy that required surgery I have quickly built up a rapport and level of respect for him. I am extremely happy in my choice of doctor and have found him a joy to deal with.

did you notice however that those visits whether you were asleep or not cost you a fee? dont mean to be cynical ,and i agree,from a medical perspective, he is the best, but those early visits give him minimal interaction when it suits and quite a nice profit.
I don't agree with the comment re minimal interaction and planning visits when it suits. Being an obstetrician by nature disallows these two things to happen.
Closely following this review, I lost my baby at 20 weeks. Lionel was available at 4am in the morning to help me through labour and he was then again with me in surgery at 7am.
Had I not appreciated his bed side manner, I would not have chosen to go back to him. He delivered my beautiful son last October. He kept me focused, amused and calm during this second pregnancy. Quite a task when having lost a child. I personally love his bedside manner.
Lionel is an absolute pleasure to deal with and all worth it. His expertise and knowledge are second to none and I am so glad I was referred onto him by my own doctor. He is straight to the point and that's the way I like it!!!..

His reputation preceeded him - the waiting room was chokkers! My 2 week old son could not suckle properly as he had to have the "snip of his tounge tie!" This problem was remidied in minutes! All actions had been explained to myself prior - though it was someone expensive
having had very complicated pregnancies being given this dr s name was literally a life saver. having had 1st child 4months premature and finding myself pregnant with twins i needed the best. Medically we could not fault him. His bedside manner and empathy lacked and that was dissapointing.Possibly a clash of personalities and my bedrest for the entire pregnancy , did not help. However if i found myself in a the same situation i would return to him because he did provide me with healthy full term twins in a situation that looked extremely bleak at the outlook. Having some medical experience myself i found he had covered areas not considered before which i am sure contibuted to an amazing outcome.(I never intend to find myself pregnant again having some degree of intelligence and 3 fab children!) Definately in the safest hand medically if you can put up with the odd mannerisms.

I have seen Lionel in relation to endometriosis. He has explained to me that I will need a full hystectomy-has anyone had to see him about this and if so any comments?
I found him hard to get along with. He does lack empathy, and I felt I could barely fit in the room with his ego. I actually wondered if he had any patients that like him. I went to him for a minor procedure for my baby, and thanked my lucky stars for my usual OB who is amazing and caring and so easy to get along with.
