Dr Horrowitz looked after me as my private obstetrician during my pregnancy and birth. Dr Horrowitz is knowledgeable, caring, supportive and really takes the time to go above and beyond to help in any way shape or form at any given hour - we knew we were in great hands from the beginning. He also has a great sense of humour!
Dr Horrowitz is extremely talented and a highly skilled doctor. He has a great demeanour, and uses direct and clear communication. He really encourages you to feel comfortable and ask as many questions as you need to. He will give you real advice and guide you based on your own individual needs.
The birth could’ve went very badly although it went without a hitch due to Dr Horrowitz knowledge and experience - he kept us in the loop during the surgery which really put my partner and I at ease. The follow up was also very hands on and provided more support post surgery. Dr Horrowitz is very diligent and extremely observant!
I didn't need much pain relief after surgery, and I was walking the day after my c-section. Within 5 days, I was already comfortable moving about and can see the cut is so clean and is healing well just a week later! I cannot recommend him enough!

At the time, I was in Sydney on holidays and was haemorrhaging badly. I had no idea why. Dr Horrowitz was recommended to me, so I contacted my travel insurance and requested to be seen by him. Once I received the go-ahead, I contacted Dr Horrowitz immediately. He was in surgery, so I explained my situation to his receptionist. That same afternoon, Dr Horrowitz called me and said I needed to have an ultrasound scan asap and take the results to him. He also asked me various questions about my condition and recommended that I immediately start taking iron tablets that contain vit C for absorption. He mentioned the brand and told me exactly what to do. Although he was fully booked months in advance, he said he would do whatever was necessary to fit me in. Once I'd been for the scan, I called and made an appointment. As promised, he squeezed me in to his busy schedule. I found him funny, personable, and he immediately put me at ease. He does call a spade a shovel, but I prefer doctors to be completely frank with me, so this didn't bother me at all. After looking at the scans and examining me, he booked me in for surgery that same week. He explained absolutely everything about the procedure to remove a large fibroid and gave me additional written material to read. He was extremely patient with me, as I asked him loads of questions. I felt I was in good hands... literally. The surgery went well, and as an extra precaution, he kept me overnight for observation to check my electrolyte levels. From that day on, I would not even consider going to another gynaecologist. Dr Horrowitz knows his stuff, is a highly skilled surgeon, has a great bedside manner and I have total confidence in him. I would definitely recommend him to other women - as a gynae or obstetrician. I cannot praise him highly enough.
