Dr Lane is caring, inclusive and has a laugh; which is everything you want in a specialist when things aren't quiet going your way. He put my husband and I at ease, was professional and personal at the same time and most obliging.

I run a very busy independent allied health & support service primarily in maternity services and have worked alongside Stephen Lane many times managing sometimes quite difficult circumstances and of course all the variables of birth and I would have to say he is one of the most likable OB/GYN's, he's fun, relaxed, honest, kind, immensely caring and very inclusive, accommodating and collaborative. I respect his ability to bring joy into every area of his work with his wonderful sunny disposition and genuine charming good natured character. I find he takes great interest in women-centered care, and I greatly appreciate his vision on doing caesareans with so much more respect and care and honoring the mother, the baby and the whole birth process realizing that women already expect the final product "the baby" and want to hold their babies safely in their arms more than anyone else however the process does matter to women! Stephen has been heard to say "If I had my way I'd make sure there was a Doula for every woman at every birth"

Dr Lane, is an excellent obstetrician, caring, understanding and most importantly an expert in his field. We have had both our children delivered by him and wouldn't have trusted anyone else to deliver our second child. We had complications with both pregancies and he was on top of things all the way, extra visits and monitoring, and allowing us to stay in hospital that little bit longer while our babies were in the special care unit. His staff are exceptional too, only a phone call away for any of your concerns.

Dr Lane has the best bedside manner. He is kind and patient. He listens and provides a good amount of information to make decisions on. He is a private obstetrician, so you do have to pay, but I think he is worth every cent. He helped us through our fertility issues, and was even our specialist at repromed for IVF. He even rang me after a miscarriage to see how I was -both physically and mentally. He will be delivering my baby in Feb, and I could not be happier :-))

Dr Stephen Lane is a great gynecologist/Ob. He charges at the medicare rate and although you pay at the end of the visit that will all be returned by medicare except for the gap for the hospital. I used him for both areas of his expertise and couldn't have been happier with the care and time that he gave me. His staff are all wonderful, caring and helpful. Waiting times during appointments can stretch out but nothing like the public system.
