dreamworld isn't what it was when i was a kid. i took my kids 2 months ago and the place seems run down and lacking rides that are up and running. my kids did however love wiggle world but that was very limited as they needed an adult to accompany my children and yet they informed that there was a 70kg weight limit.
the animal park was ok though the koala handler was extremely rude and pushy for the photos and just ripped the koala from my arms after the photos were taken, this put me off for the rest of the day seeing an animal treated with such disregard to it comfort.

It's a day out I will never forget, it was the day after we arrived from the UK and our son took us out there for a treat. We really enjoyed the rides and all the fun of the fair. Great place to visit, especially if you have children.

fantastic day out well worth the money i recommend visiting in the off peak time as the lines get ridiculously long you can now get a yearly pass at 9 per week as well which i think is great not having the big expense up front it works out to be almost the same price as buying out right

Its a good place for kids and they do have some interesting stuff for adults, but being a disability pensioner i donot beleive we should pay any where near the amount as i cannot go on any rides so i basically pay to be in my wheelchair and watch, the food is horrible and way overpriced, they really need to reprice the food not only taste terrrible but you pay so much for something that is horrible. I think disability side of it someone high up should look at the pricing. It is great for kids and people whom can use all the areas.

My husband and I went there on a Thursday in May during our honeymoon. We enjoyed all the rides we went on. The scariest by far is the Giant Drop. It's 380 feet in the air for about a miute, and then you drop for at least 5 seconds, free falling. It's very scary, but what a thrill!. We went during off peak season so harldy any waiting for rides. We got a great deal done by lunch time, although we had to wait for a bus because we didn't stay the whole day.

Food is very pricey, so it's advisable to bring your own lunch, which you can consume at Whitewater World which is next door. We didn't bring lunch - we bought expensive food.

Although we bought a 3 day pass, we only went once. We felt like we had done most things already and didn't want to travel from Surfer's Paradise again the next day. Also, because it was slightly colder during May, we decided not to go to WhiteWater World, which would have been more fun in summer.

a good time is always had by young & old at dreamworld. Took the 3 kids for their first visit a few weeks back and they loved it! Older kids would get more out of the park but there's still heaps for the little ones to do. We went on a weekday so the queues weren't too bad, i think 15mins was the longest wait time. Park was clean and enjoyable. They have a few deals going at the moment. 1 is a 50% off coupon on the back of the shoper docket (can print it online too), the other is a pass that also gets you into the Q1 skydeck.

lisant 28 May 2014

Yes, the shopping docket currently has an offer for passes at Dreamworld. It was on the back of a Woolies docket last time I saw

Dreamworld is a must visit if visiting Surfers Paradise. Great rides and reasonably priced. One of entry fee allows you access to as many rides as you like. If you travel in the off season it is great value as the lines are not as long as in the high season.

I absolutely LOVE theme parks and Dreamworld is right up at the close top of my list!! The rides are genuinely awesome and there is a large variety of souvenir shops and cute little cafes to sit down and enjoy delicious meals in :) May not be the cheapest way of fun but well worth the waits in lines and extra costs!!

markh40 24 Oct 2013

It's not a bad day really, I agree its not the cheapest day out, but they do have those 3 theme park season passes you can buy to lower costs.

raym9 29 Dec 2013

those 3 park tickets are the only reason I would go, it's just too expensive to go.

lisant 28 May 2014

Best time to go if you don't like waiting is on a weekday during May (not school holidays). There are almost no lines for any rides, so you can get all the rides done by lunch time.

We went to Dreamworld on our family holiday. We loved it. There are lots of rides for little kids through to adults. My daughter loved wiggles world. Which has been updated with the new characters. Its all well spaced out. It didn't feel crowded. The food is pricey. But its like that at all the theme parks. The park is clean and has been maintained. It could do with some more rides.

lisant 28 May 2014

Yes, there is something for everyone in the family. More thrilling rides for the older kids and adults, and also some shows for the little ones.

We had a great day at Dreamworld and Whitewater World with my two boys and one of their girlfriends. Unfortunately the Q4U service wasn't working so we didn't get on as many rides as we would have liked but it was a great day anyway.

Sharon and I had also been here for a Big Brother Eviction Show earlier in the week when Tully was evicted. Sharon loved it ... I wasn't quite so thrilled having been to a few back in the early 2000's.

All in all a great day was had. I would highly recommend getting a yearly pass if you plan on going more than a few ties during the year.

Dreamworld is the best! Its a bit pricey to get in if you dont have a concession card and the food is pricey but very very worth it. I loved taking my kids into nickolodian village and we got to meet puss in boots and kung foo panda. The rides are so much fun, I especially love the wipe out I go on it every time we are there. We got to see the tigers too which was wicked

When I went there, there wasn't much open. The only things open was the rides and the shops to buy things from. The part where they kept the animals was closed, so I didn't get a cuddle with a koala, which is why I originally went there, so it was a little disappointing.

Dreamworld is probably the best park for all ages.

Fantastic rides - and the Shrek/Madagascar/king fu panda area is fantastic for kids
And wiggles land is great for toddlers and small children.

There's a buffet down the back near wiggles land which is $25 and only $5 for kids which works out much cheaper than the rest of the places to eat.

We didn't go into white water world as it was a chilly day, but it looks great!

Approximate cost: $80, extra $10 to enter white water world.

After a long wait, the tower of terror is by far very worth it. Unsure if the scooby doo rollercoaster is still there now but that was amazing! My sister and i lined up about 14 times, was a big indoor one. Buy a yearly pass and save, and go as many times as you like. You need more than a day to trully get to see and do everything. Get there early!

No the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster is across the road at Movieworld. They are all great places to visit, font memories of my daughter taking me on the Scooby Coaster lol ...

There really is something for everyone at Dreamworld! Personally I am a huge Big Brother fanatic so the chance to meet and get my photo with recent contestant Ray was amazing! There are plenty of rides and attractions for smaller children and the big seven thrill rides are sure to impress even the most hardcore ride enthusiast. The prices are a bit expensive but a season pass is well worth it, especially if you're a local :)

twistie1 28 Dec 2012

I bought passes until 30 November 2013 for the kids and I for Christmas. At only $79.00 each I think they're exceptional value. That you're able to go to DreamWorld and WhiteWaterWorld as many times as you want for the next 11 months is amazing. I'd only suggest that you pack your own sandwiches and drinks or you'll still be stung by their shockingly high prices.

Dreamworld was a great day out, with plenty of things to do and see. My favourite part was the Big Brother mini tour. The Animals were great, and so was the sheep shearing! The tower of terror was so noisy!!!!!! Heaps of fun, but there should be more rides for in between thrill rides, and kid rides.

My favourite of all the gold coast theme parks. Plenty to see and do. Love the animals and the best rides for all ages. Great to see the tigers and the conservation programme. Expensive day out but well worth it. The yearly passes are excellent value especially if you can go often. Love the tower of terror!

Dreamworld is fantastic. There is a great diversity of things to do and usually the lines aren't very long. Things like food and drink inside the park are a little expensive but that's to be expected at a theme park. My favorite ride is the Claw, so much fun!

I was at Dreamworld in Mya this year, we went for the day and was really surprised at the changes they have made since we were last there years ago. They have completely re done the kids area into a joint madagascar and shrek theme, the whole place looks excellent and we found that the staff manning the rides were pretty cool. They looked happy and were friendly. The food was good, we got chicken burgers and chips with coke. We all had a great day and it wasnt too busy either
