This was my first time to visit East Melbourne Dental Group, It was easy to locate, the receptionist Allison was very prompt with her email response and my request to book an appointment for my swollen gum, and Dr Ron and his assistant were both very pleasant and easy-going. [redacted clinical content] and Dr Ron explained my situation clearly and carefully. I was very happy with the whole experience and will visit again. Note: This place is extremely popular in December so better to make an appointment in advance.

I've been seeing Ron (Dr Ronak Patel) for awhile and really appreciate his manner particularly when he explains what and why he's doing the dental work. It's made a big difference to my overal dental health (much more than my previous dentist elsewhere).

If you are also looking for someone for your kids the dental therapists are GREAT! We had Deanne work with my daughter (now 7). Thanks to Deanne's gentle manner my daughter is not scared of visiting the dentist.

I am in my mid 70s and have lived in a number of places in Australia and New Zealand and experienced many dentists all with differing personalities, knowledge and attitudes towards patient care. My first experience with East Melbourne Dental Group was five years ago when I was visiting my son for Christmas and had to have some
emergency dental work done. I was impressed then with the care provided and how the dentist was prepared to work beyond his finishing time. Some three years later and now living in Melbourne I again attended the medical group for what would end up being a tooth extraction. Not my favourite past time. This was when I was introduced to Dr Ronak Patel [redacted clinical content] from the UK. [redacted clinical content] I couldn't be happier with a dentist than I am with Dr Patel. He takes the time to explain what needs to be done and how that work may impact on other teeth. He also provides a fee quote for work to be done and doesn't apply pressure to do it. He leaves it up to me to decide when to do it, which usually depends on when I can afford it and, that's no reflection on the cost, just my ability to fund it. Dr Ron has a warm and pleasing personality and I always leave the surgery with a smile and almost looking forward to the next visit - I did say almost. Let's not forget the other staff, they are great as well.

With my history of dental nursing I've also appreciated that his investment in the latest technology and techniques has also profoundly improved my experience.

Importantly, what has always added to this is Graham’s very kind, thoughtful and gentle approach to even the simplest part of the work, such as the initial anaesthetic. My family has found that his amazing respect and consideration for the patient is unwavering, and the way he interacts with staff at the clinic creates a genuinely friendly and relaxed ambience. Its a place where you feel very welcome and cared for.

Graham's wonderful assistant Briony, receptionist Allison and the entire team are also a major part of the terrific atmosphere at the clinic. We couldn’t recommend Graham and the East Melbourne Dental Group more highly!
